The divorce saga begins

So there's a brief conversation on phone of virat-sai. Fairly inconsequential. He laughs when she says kid looks like you... because 2 din ke bacche ki kya facial features pata lagengi. Fact toh hai but the way he laughed out loud makes Sai on the other line think that he is super happy and unaffected by leaving his family.

After hanging up, Virat instead of going to meet her, goes to the room to meditate. But theres still no nostalgia, no tears, no guilt. And definitely he has to be the slowest human if he hasn't figured out that when Sai says you need to finish incomplete chapters to move on, he says- kya matlab....

Arey, really what does he think is the next logical step?! Is he seriously going to pretend to be surprised by divorce talk tomm?!

Anyway ZA is as cringe as ever. I fastforwarded major chunks. Only watched Sai's silent reactions, where she is standing strong like a chattan. And watched Sai's dialogues. Couldn't bear to watch full ZA crap...

Kal shaayad aayega reason. I don't think they will bother to discuss whats in the papers as reason for divorce. Probably just mutual consent. I don't think Sai is gonna mention adultery - kyunki one of the major points apart from just being peaceful , is to save his job and prove that he only had affair/marriage to Shruti after separation from Sai....

But mutual consent is out of question. They need to live separately for 1 year prior to petition and will have to wait for 6 more months for divorce, after they sign the petition.

But if they apply for divorce now by mutual consent and if just like in the real world it truly takes almost 2 years to be granted- and they need to live apart for 1 year- , that would be perfect for itv. 2 saal tak divorce kheech sakte hai!

If Sai wants to save his job she cant accuse him of bigamy/cruelty.

Maybe deserting like you mentioned before. But thats too technical for ghkkpm. You really think they would look into what are the legally valid grounds for divorce and then write script accordgly.

Itv shows ke time warp mein kuch bhi hosakta hai. 2 saal mein Virat ka ek bhi birthday nahi aaya, Sai became 3rd year student after finishing only 1 year of college.... anything can happen- so itv mein divorce by mutual consent 2 ninute mein hojayega. Infact they will probably think that just by signing the document, divorce has been granted. Simple.

ITV shows are like if we sign the papers, the divorce is immediately granted (in some superfast process unknown to real people wanting divorce) and the very next minute we can marry another person.

She should have gone for annulment saying their marriage was due to force by villagers and neither virat nor she were interested, making their marriage null and void (it leads to a nice re-marriage track).

That way it doesn't even matter if Virat had affair or when he married Shruti.

Also is backdating a divorce even an option in real life?
