since tvd s4 mid to s8 were mostly shit i am saying this according to s1-s4.5 before julie ruined the entire show

damon and stefan really are brothers in true sense they are very different yet so same though stefan is forgiving while damon holds a lot of grudges

they do the same shit

elena broke their heart they both went and slept with rebekah though stefan also teamed up with her for the cure while with damon it was a hookup not to mention rebekah tried to kill elena twice

jeremy is literally an afterthought to both of them damon continuosly abused jeremy in s2,s3,s5 and stefan did put him in danger in s4 and he was wrong in that situation

they both put elena through a lot of trauma damon killing jeremy,constantly belittling her,threatening to kill all her friends and stefan was no less the wickery bridge incident,pushing her away i sympathise with him more due to his klaus situation but it was trauma for elena

they both lied to her during their relationship stefan didnt tell her about katherine looking like her,damon didnt tell her that he was killing people behind her back

i know elena is overhated in the fandom and i agree she isnt as entertaining as the others but she is constantly shit on about what she is doing to the brothers but in all honesty what the brothers did to her is much worse than anything she did to them hell when klaus slapped her in the gym i have seen majority cheering klaus and thanking him on behalf of the fandom they just see her as a shipping device thats it delena and stelena fans love stefan and damon much more than they love elena

though i love stelena much more than delena sometimes i wished elena would just dump both of them till they figure out their own shit because a lot of the things stefan and damon both did were a result of their own broken relationship and a lot of people did suffer for it..like isobel said "as long as you have a salvatore on each arm you are doomed"

also i realised the family relationships of tvd are the most toxic like the relationship between stefan and damon will alone surpass the toxicity in all tvd relationships combined and now you can throw in klaus and rebekah which was much more toxic than what he had with elijah they all love each other but are just so used to hurting and shitting on each other that it doesnt stop its an endless cycle

though all this adds to the drama and its intriguing sometimes i enjoyed watching the sweet simple sibling bond between jeremy and elena it was refreshing amidst all the love-hate,complex ,toxic,relationships

they were the best sibling duo in my opinion

Following it currently yes. It's a nice little watch- a bit cliched and predictable at times, but certainly better than some of the other offerings on ITV currently IMO. Certainly deserves more than the 0.2 it's getting, but that's perhaps because of the channel it's on.
