The thing is the show that gets highest trp, flow of money will never be a problem for them. Those ashram track, party track, pcg parties, eidhoroner plot dekhate poisa laage bhalo 😆

Pilu is actually Khukumoni's rival show.. And it's only opening week.. The PH is good coz it has produced shows like Mithai, Rani Rashmoni, Soudamini etc. And it's still on Top 10 .. Even Mithai took 1-2 months time time to defeat shows like Khorkuto, Mohor, n Sreemoyee who were toppers then ..

PH won't mess with Mithai coz it's been Bengal Topper for continuous 43 weeks.. Neither PH nor channel would want to lose this position..

Khukumoni TRP has dropped drastically but this new show Alta Phoring has opened in Top 3 ..

The only plus point of Mithai is there's no such kitchen politics, no dojjal sasuri or crazy sautan 😂 The ML is strong n doesn't just run behind FL.. Mithai n Sid are both active unlike other shows where the FL does everything n ML is there only to support her or save her when needed..

The villains in Mithai doesn't always plot to kill the FL.. There is rivalry but it's very real.. Professional rivalry between Sid n Tess, business rivalry between Modaks n Agarwals these are very real things..

Not just actors...directors, scriptwriters, set managers...a lot of the team has been diverted towards Pilu actually. If you compare the opening credits of Mithai and Pilu...both are almost identical with the people involved 😡

And actually highest TRP does not always guarantee the best results. My mother's friend works in this industry and she told us that after the first 200-300 episodes are done then production house er taka uthe ase...so then they divert their resources to other newer shows to boost them up.

Mithai's original director Rajendra Prasad is one of the biggest reasons why it has become such a hit...he has not left the Mithai team completely yet but for the last few weeks he has been entirely focused on Pilu

So if Pilu does not become a huge hit like Mithai then they might return him and other writers/actors to the Mithai team because after all, it is their golden goose

But as @Crazyltl said these are still early days so lets see

Btw I thought Rajendra Prasad is still directing Mithai. Opening credit shows his name, nah? I just hope Saswati Ghosh always remains the scriptwriter, even though she has written some filler episodes in the past but she overcomes it with some briilliant episodes also. I haven't watched some episodes where Sid forcefully married Mithai and his awful behaviour towards her. Cause frankly I despise such track. However, I have a serious question in my mind. In initial episodes, did Sid's behaviour give any kind of implications about Sid-Torsha's relationship? (Like in IPKKND, it was clear from the beginning that Lavanya and ASR was in a relationship but ASR didn't believe in marriage and all). So, here Sid must have an idea about Torsha's feeling towards him? She attempted suicide when he married Mithai! And if he was aware about Torsha's soft corner for him, didn't Sid going to her house and spending nights whenever anything happens in his home, fueled her feelings more (even after marrying Mithai??) I would love to know tomader perspectives. Do you guys think Siddharth Modak was emotionally faithful to Mithai in those initial episodes?

And choto kaki r character ki grey shaded like pisemosai? Nowadays she seems fine but some of her comments about Sid-Torsha in those episodes seemed quite negative

No no I would actually recommend you watch those initial episodes they were actually quite well done...In my mind Sidhai's marriage was less forceful and more tumultuous really. Actually, most of the chaos was created by Tess and her mother...but overall you should really watch those episodes because it gives you insight into what Sid was and how he has changed till now.

Sid and Tess were definitely close in fact uncomfortably so at times I feel... but because Sid had set such strong boundaries in his own mind and was so emotionally disconnected that it never quite crossed over into that territory but definitely teased the line sometimes.

Sid has ALWAYS considered Tess as his Best Friend.. Yes they used to go offc together n Sid knew about Tess's feelings for him coz Tess herself had proposed Sid... But Sid had politely refused her saying he doesn't believe in love or marriage n he considers her as best friend only..

Tess was furious when she saw Sid was marrying Mithai instead of Som... She created a scene n tried to slap Mithai.. Sid had asked Tess to stop creating a scene but he felt bad for his own rude behavior so he went to meet Tess at the hospital after learning about her suicide attempt...

Even when Tess was staying at Monohora for a week coz Reboti Aunty wasn't there, she had tried to come close to Sid while they were working together in Sid's room but Sid didn't allow her.. Sid had always made it crystal clear that there was nothing between them..

Sid had spend only once at Tess's house n he had some real reason.. And that one time Tess wasn't at home.. She was in Bangalore..

So to answer your question - Sid was always clear about both Mithai n Tess.. When he didn't believed in marriage, he refused to accept Mithai as his wife but still considered her as the DiL of Modak family n never gave in to Boris' demand of trapping Mithai with false accusations..
