A Bit Underwhelming :/

It was a little underwhelming, to be honest. The editors did a piss-poor job of the episode - it seemed very disconnected and choppy 🤔It needed more filler/transitional scenes.

Blurred close up shots and unnecessary video effects kinda ruined the much-awaited rain sequence for me! We did not get ONE single decent shot of them standing in the rain, with Ram's arms around Priya 🥺

And no morning after scenes? I was really looking forward to them! Just a simple scene of Ram watching a still asleep Priya and smiling softly. (I guess this one's on me, should never expect too much from PH 😔)

The conversation between Ram and Adi could've gone in so many different ways - but they made it all about Ram kinda-sorta moving on from Vedika 🤔

The promos raised my expectations a lot! So the result was a bit disappointing. Lesson learnt, I guess

Same here! After such intense moments last night, they moved on the next morning as if nothing happened. The episode seemed so disconnected. Ram didn't even stay in the morning to talk to Priya. Just left the house without saying anything to her. Atleast, he should have left a message to her. And Adi didn't even try to suggest to Ram that he might be falling for Priya. He just said "RAM". Kya hi dumb dost hain yaar yeh!

I didnt like the editing . Typical 90s wali scenes , I mean the way it was brought on to the screen. But I liked the scene where in he is loosening the hair and the back hug. The expression on Ram and Priya's face was fantastic. They are such wonderful actors. But what to do the backend professionals didnt do that great job.

In the morning, looks like Priya didn’t remember anything from last night. That may mean she feels hurt and ignored, but her expressions were so disconnected as to it’s a normal morning for her. What was the director thinking?

And Ram’s reaction was hard to decode. Did he come to a conclusion that he is still stuck on Vedika? i heard he was thinking of how Priya would have felt if she found out from the video, but he didn’t say if it felt meaningless to think about Vedika.

I completely disagree and I am sure many of my friends here on forum too would disagree…

It wasn’t at all underwhelming to be honest.

Think of it this way here is a couple who has been married for quite a few months now, has hit rock bottom several times(thanks to their familial misunderstandings and toxic villains) and still came up every time from that rock bottom stronger and better. They both come from a tumultuous past, given that both of them were ditched by the ones they thought they “loved”… and this explains why they are hesitant to open up again. Here is a couple, who were hitched out of compulsion but are now trying to find stability in their relationship… trying hard to understand each other, to adapt to each other. They are in love with each other… it’s very very clear from their conversations(Priya’s with Sara and later with Neeraj, and, Ram’s with Adi) and they know it in their unconscious too but the acceptance is hard, because of, as I mentioned, their past. It’s the third decade of 21st century, we have come way ahead in how things are now seen and perceived… consent, compatibility, comfortability are the foundation stones of all strong romantic relationships… and so, given that we are here talking about a couple who has had inhibitions regarding even accidental or “in the heat of the moment” closeness and touches, it only makes sense that even though they hugged today and in fact three times in the past two days… none of them have Priya in her conscious guarded state of mind. True, we like this drunk side of Priya because she was free from her inhibitions in that state… but that’s viewer’s POV. Ram is IN THE SHOW… he obviously cannot “take advantage” of his drunk wife. He hugged her sensuously… true… but added detailed views of that scene would not have looked good at this point… they showed what was necessary— his facial expressions which said out loud that he WAS lost in her and in that moment… anything over and beyond that would look extra and ludicrous to and on his character.

As for morning after scene, if no one realised… aaram did mention that he deliberately cleared his schedule because he has to go AT 5… the time when Priya’s college would be over— clearly indicating that he plans on meeting her then… probably also got some plans(which might get ruined, but at least may be he has them)

And for the Adi Ram Convo… well that’s another debate… you say it meant nothing and it was futile, held no meaning, could have gone in other way but no! It was IN TANDEM with the pace and flow of the show… indeed the covo was about Ram telling Adi that he has moved on… and that’s exactly what needed to be said at this point. Were you expecting Ram to either confess to Adi that he loves Priya or to giving him a vivid account of what transpired between them… I don’t know but neither of those two things would fit in or look good because a) Ram is a sensible man who respects his wife’s privacy, and therefore, a vivid account of their “Rendezvous in the Rain” to his friend would make him look like a chauvinist. B) no I love Priya for now because he has not yet accepted this himself… he is still trying to comprehend his feelings. So he said what needed to be said right now— that HE HAS MOVED ON FROM badika(I mean Vedika🤣)… why is it significant— again two reasons a) it indicates that Vedika’s plan to win back Ram are going to be proven futile because he is not in love with her anymore, so no question of winning back the person she lost to another woman— PRIYA and b) this confessions has opened doors for Ram understanding that he loves Priya now… his fear and concern for her mental state is in itself a low-key live confession.

In all, I’d just say… I DEFY YOUR CLAIMS that the episode was underwhelming because it was anything but that!

Exactly! I wasn't expecting a morning-after conversation. All i wanted was a silly transitional scene - where Ram wakes up, sees Priya is still sleeping (a role reversal as she's the one who's always up before him) and smiles at her sleeping form. Then proceeds to go to work. I guess I need to lower my expectations 😅

I agree it was underwhelming but o ly in terms of how the rain dance was shown. The promos and the sbs was better. I wud attribute it to poor editing.

Otherwise it was fine. At this point it wud be too much to expect anything more. But they cud hv shown Priya trying to recollect what happened.

Completely agree with you, I had exactly same thots in my mind.

If not much i was expecting atlst one morning scene, Ram starring at sleeping Priya and it should have been Ram offering her med and not Shubham or atlst a simple message from Ram wishing her good mornig and informing her med is kept next to her table and sorry he had to go or something like that.

But i stil have hope that they are going to continue the conversation with Adi.

Yes!! I should probably clarify that I've got a bone to pick specifically with the way the rain sequence was shot 😅😆 it was so tacky!

The back hug and loosening of hair scene was very dreamy though 😍
