Hadd Hain waise

I don't mind showing the good officers of Pakistan who were not that evil

My nana was a radio engineer that time and he was very good friends with the Pathan Punjabi colleagues of his who also worked with him in the radio station

The first collision happened when the pak radio authority commander my nana NOT TO AIR THE Sheikh mujib HISTORIC speech of 7th march when he asked the Bengalis to remain prepared for a possible attack and to be ready to shed blood for independence

That time nana had put his foot down and since his post was also high up the hierarchy and he was in charge of what to air or not ...he said he will shut the radio station for good if they don't withdraw the command

Then the command was withdrawn and the speech was aired on radio as tbag time it was the biggest medium of communication

Armies volavala attitude is annoying really, I just want to give up this drama for this alone. There was immense amount of atrocities fr army, now one can deny this. Maybe there were good officers but that even can't be more than 1%.

I did not say it is fictional but to consider it a fictional one since we all know it is far from the truth, and there are many things wrong with the show, they show bemgalis as thugs and gunda mafias and pak army as nice guys trying to defend their country. They also showed Sheikh Mujib as some Indian pawn. They showed killing of the biharies as a first act when it was actually a retaliation and Shekh Mujib was not a hot headed Indian pawn, after the war he strategically got the Indian army out of the country but at the end of the day you cannot really expect a pak drama to show their own country in a negative light so just watch it as a fictional drama or don't watch.

My Nana nani with my mom khala and mama used to live in an area where there were a lot of Biharis

We still call those areas as bihari camp.....my Nana used to be in good terms with them as he was fluent in Urdu and English and also had his training done from Karachi

He was not at all a supporter of the partition and was really sad and devastated when the genocide was happening in front of him

And once the war started after 25th March ......the biharis started literally slaughtering every Bengali household there was in that area with their butchering tools......they started themselves to be invincible as everyone had the license of killing the Bengalis

And even though we keep saying pak Army pak Army....they didn't come here without the command of Pak authority.....there were a lot of dirty politics involved in the upper level and the pak Army were executing just what they were ordered

Yes the innumerable rapes and unbelievable brutal genocide could have been toned down a bit by the pak Army but condemning them only is not right as the instructions used to come from the higher ups

we’ll said. I watched a documentary on war children made by a Canadian journalist.

These kind of drama brings all the painful memories. Specially when they show them with glory.
I tried to watch the first episode and later decided not to watch.

I m still watching it for the performances direction and Wahaj character as Rumi which is not butchered yet

Also for Maya and nadia Jamil

Also for giving so much effort to create that period

This show is still less whitewashed than Khel Khel mein and the hum tv show by ehteshamuddin

In such films they can't show anything because people know about these incidents. So pls stop saying that India makes anti pak films. They are just showing whatever has happened in the history.

This isn't true, at all. That aside, the point I was making is that war based films are biased in favour of the country producing the film. India makes A LOT of war based films and in pretty much every single one the Indian/Hindu side is pure as gold whilst the Muslim/Pakistani side is evil. This is not an accurate or truthful depiction of real events. Lets take the partition as an example, the fact is Hindu's murdered, raped, looted, beheaded men and cut of the upper genitals of women (as did Muslims, as did Sikhs). However in the films the countries wrongdoings are whitewashed and Muslims and sometimes Sikhs are portrayed as the sole wrongdoers/pure evil.

Bollywood even takes stories where other countries or minority groups have done something positive and reworks it into a pro-India story. For example Bajrangi Bhaijan, which was based on the true story of a Hindu Indian getting stranded in Pakistan and the Edhi foundation finding her, taking her in, creating a prayer area for her, and working tirelessly to find her family and get her back to India.

I'm sorry if facts hurt your sentiments, but I'm not here to pander to your nationalist pride. I loathe nationalism, patriotism and propaganda irrespective of the country. If you can't face reality it's really not my problem.

Guys, I'm not going to watch Parizaad. I can't get past the fact that they resorted to Blackface. As far as I'm concerned this show shouldn't have aired and I'm side-eyeing everyone involved in making it (including the actors).

There is so much detail in all the scenes, HH has outdone himself.
