Otherwise never go to watch films of their warriors like Kangana, Vivek, both of who keep giving flops. Vivek atleast keeps quiet. Kangana begins blaming the whole world for her failures.

Okay, but why didn't the IT cell make the PM Modi movie a blockbuster? That would logically be part of their BW control agenda.

So, how exactly is the IT cell powerful enough to control BW if all their cheering couldn't make a movie hit?

No one- not even the IT cell is strong enough to get the audiences to watch a Vivek Oberoi film. But what the IT Cell does well enough in is the multiplier effect- if there is already a negative buzz they amplify it. Sometimes it sticks, like in this case due to the Covid situation and weak promotion. Other times when the PR push from the film is stronger and more sophisticated like Padmavat, they are able to counter the narrative.

But just the fact that there are these centralised online trolls being paid by SOMEONE to do this full time is sick. And to those in denial, I wonder if they were asleep when a targeted PR campaign against Bollywood began to be carried out post SSR from 2020 onwards?

I'm sure next time for the biopic they'll cast Akki and then work overtime to promote him.

To be honest IT cell can harm films online if not in theatres. They do create negative buzz.

They have succeeded in spreading lies about Khans attributing FALSE statements to them such as SRK 'said he will leave India if Modi becomes PM' and 'Aamir said Hindus waste milk by pouring on Shivling'. Both are UNTRUE. Neither SRK or Aamir said the things attributed to them by IT cell propaganda machinery.

I hope stars begin to take action against sites and YouTube channels spreading falsehoods and defamatory propaganda against them. Akki did the right thing when he sued a YouTuber.

Having said that, I do not think boycott propaganda and paid hashtags by IT cell can actually harm a film or brand in real life. Surf Excel and Brooke Bond still sell fine despite boycott calls against them. Dangal, PK, Singham 2, Dhoom 3, Sooryavanshi, Tiger Zinda hai, Haider, OMG, all succeeded despite boycott hashtags against them.

These lies and nonsense never affect films in real life as there are already few stars we have and few reliable, trustworthy makers who make watchable films.

Even in past films like Fanaa, OMG, RDB, Jodha Akbar became hits despite controversies and calls to ban them.

IT cell chillars already never have enough to buy tickets of films or subscribe to Netflix, Hotstar and Amazon. Their rants on free platforms like FB, Twitter, WA, Quora, Reddit, YouTube mean nothing eventually.

Honey, we all believe what we want to believe. But willful ignorance about what's going on in the world around us is not a good look. Everybody knows that Twitter is a completely manipulated space- calling it the "frustration of the people" is a laughable story die-hard defenders want to tell themselves to explain away the targeted bullying, hate and bigotry.

I'm sure next you are going to say that Arnab and Navika running weekly bulletins targeting Bollywood while there were issues like the farmers' protests and mass deaths due to the pandemic with was also "the people's frustration" LOL.

I think the bold part pretty much sums everything up.

Selective viewing isn't getting anyone anywhere either. Dismissing all trends against BW as IT cell's work is inaccurate as well.

So now Arnab & Navina are IT cell as well? Or os the criteria as simple as if you aren't bashing the government you are part of the IT cell? News is now no longer confined to an hour where only the most important things can be shown. In 24*7 news, there is enough time for both National news & BW.

Farmer issues- The support of the common people to the farmers was so immense that the government was forced to repeal its laws.

BW - K Jo nepotism rocks, under talented but overrated star kids (no one says anything against Hrithik, Ranbir & possibly Shraddha because they have talent inspite of their filmy background), Aamir's intolerant remark, Deepika's JNU 'visit' , KJo's drug party viral photos, Lockdown Maldives vacationing photos & of course the SSR tragedy. If you feel that the IT cell's targeting is creating a negative image of BW/ a particular star / movie, then I know who's comfortable with ignorance.

Sums it up only for people who will go to the bitter end believing the gospel of "BAd BULLYwood" and "angelic agencies" spearheaded by some real life devta is real and have no real argument to counter what I mentioned. But defending the IT cell is just LOLWAAA

Like you could explain really well why the PM Modi movie went flop or give reasons like Covid for an OTT release! Have recognised you now! Enjoy your 'liberal' views ,your 'wokeness' & your blind hero worshipping! And maybe if you start quoting a person differing in views to you, try not expecting a yes person.
