VD lost all credibility after IL12 because of his effort to promote some at the cost of others. How he ignored Arunita till the world jumped on him is now history. Only when he realized that she was winning hearts across the audience and all the other judges/guests were going gaga over her was when he made an effort to acknowledge. Especially poor was the Lata comment when it was evident to all that Lata's phone call was to tell him that Lata appreciated Arunita and he better start learning to appreciate proper singing.

Yes lost respect for VD - don’t appreciate judges with an agenda.
In a way am thankful to the 3 stooges on IIL12, they made me look outside IIL to get perspective on Aru’s singing. Found a treasure trove with her performances on Zee Bangla SRGMP and SRGMP Little Champs, the judge panel on both these old shows were very insightful. Their love and adulation for Aru’s singing made me appreciate and respect Aru manyfold.

Arunita's guruji from Pune is Dr. Ravindra Ghangurde. He is well-known name in Marathi music circles. His daughter Savani Ravindra sings in Marathi movies, she recently won national award.
