I don't think a trip like this one justifies using labels like "would-be in-laws."

Next PD's sister Chandni's wedding is on the card in February.

After that , other people from UK (PD's friends) , she follows like Rahul Rajan , Ketox will invite for their family function. Offcourse , she has to attend.

And I also mentioned that she will be busy in academy work there as PD is also brand ambassador, she also has some duty to make them bigger.

It stirs emotions with people over attached to the person and not purely to her singing.
Let her go to Uttarakhand or Nepal or USA with whoever she wants.
She is not our child. She is an adult and adults do what they want. If you don't like it, ignore it.
Let us focus on her music here for a while please and drop all unrelated posts for a while. Otherwise the atmosphere of this thread gets unduly vitiated.

I am with you. I just felt that post was quite over the top and hence responded to it.

I guess occasional personal news here and there is okay - after all it is a part of being a fan of an artist.

But yes, let's not get too carried away about these matters.

I do believe that Aru and kids her age should use their wings, fly and find for themselves who they are, what they value, make friends, create bonds, discover the world, make mistakes, learn and grow from them, hopefully get worldly wise. It will only make them stronger. Yes there are always risks/worries that it may not turn out right. But don’t believe Aru can grow and shine in a protected environment in Bangaon.

It can be difficult but we, the well-wishers just have to trust that the values that they have been brought up with will hold them in good stead in this journey. Based on her interviews in Bengali(don’t know the language but many good souls have taken the trouble to translate) and seeing closely her demeanor throughout II12, I strongly believe she has very good values and is grounded.
Good to see her enjoying and having fun! I am glad that she is not letting trollers in insta and YouTube dictate her behavior.

By the way, any news about her 1st year exams? Typically in WB are the university exams in March / April time frame?

Beti na Betayi... brings back sweet memories. This was song where i heard and saw Aru for the first time. This is the performance that started my deewanapan for Aru the singer, Aru the performer and Aru as a person. I still remember my angst at VD(love his music) for having butt paralysis after Aru's performances (the initial few)

VD lost all credibility after IL12 because of his effort to promote some at the cost of others. How he ignored Arunita till the world jumped on him is now history. Only when he realized that she was winning hearts across the audience and all the other judges/guests were going gaga over her was when he made an effort to acknowledge. But even then it was sheepish and not from the heart.
Especially poor was the Lata comment when it was evident to all that Lata's phone call was to tell him that Lata appreciated Arunita and he better start learning to appreciate proper singing.
