Don't have hopes that UK tour will happen. I doubt it may get postponed because of omicron. Already lot of covid rules changed again and we are home bound.😭
All the best to PD and team. Hope it does well.
Well, let's not leave out Arunita from the best wishes. Let's not forget she has sung this song too - which is what she wants to do i.e. sing playback.

👍🏼
All the best to both. As Arunitha herself did not share any insta stories yet related to this I thought she is trying to stay away from it so didn't bother to bring her in in the post.
From whatever clips I have seen Canada audience seems to be bit staid..not as groovy n energetic as UK..wonder if even SMP would be able to get them on their feet

See this interesting stats. Comparatively Canada trip didn't go that well compared to UK also.

I have a friend in Ontario who works in real estate..his firm keeps on organizing such events within Indian diaspora..so checked with him if he was planning to go for this.
He said they were planning to sponsor but event got rescheduled 3 times..so dropped the plan. Arijit is going there next yr so planning to sponsor that event.
So ya all this affects audience footfalls too.
But in general the audience was not very enthu..
Compare that with UK which is generally considered uptight..they were so happy

This was by all means a sub-optimal tour. The original plan I heard was that Girish Vishwa's band would travel for the show. The change in plans and lack of clarity on when and where meant that a rock band was pitched into service. So almost every song, including Ghar More Pardesia was converted into a rock song. That also meant that performers were given rock based numbers to sing. The absence of a sitar player was felt (here and in UK). There was marked lack of dhol or table accompaniment. The band did a very good job within their skill set but it was a sub-optimal solution for the sake of saving the tour.
So, I don't really blame the audience. Accompaniment is 40% of the music.
My 2 cents.
