It’s Official: TSBTSP going Off-Air

Hi guys!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but TSBTSP along with Molki, BB and TBP are going off air by the end of Jan 2022.

I guess it was just a matter of time till the rumours were officially confirmed since we already knew that Colors is bringing in two new shows. Is anyone even surprised? I will try to list down some of the major reasons this show went wrong as best as I can. Feel free to agree or disagree.

1. FIRST & FOREMOST, changing the entire premise of the show and storyline after Kajol broke off her marriage. Turning her from a strong woman who knew her responsibilities and would not take Arjun’s or Shreya’s BS to someone who needed the ML as her saviour and spokesman.

2. Negativity over negativity. Vamp over vamp. I still cannot wrap my head around the stupidity of the CVs. I mean which show has 5 vamps and one Villain? Are they effin crazy? Who wants to watch such shit in such a competitive time slot.

3. Choosing unknown and unremarkable actresses/vamps like Noina/Priyanka over the likes of Arjun/Shreya (the ones who were doing a fab job). The CVs spelled doom for this show the day they let go of the Arjun/Shreya/Kajol/Anurag nexus. Additionally, loosing Harshad’s fanbase.

4. The excruciatingly slow narration of the story while something major happens in competitive shows every week.

5. Constantly glorifying the ML while completely turning the FL into a punching bag. Thus in turn frustrating the viewers and turning her fanbase away from the show. Again, the ML was a fairly new face to a major channel as a lead and not an established star where such treatment could have logically speaking benefitted the show.

6. No development in the love story after all these months. Most young people watch ITV for the jodi and romance. Unfortunate but true. And the CVs failed to capitalise on the leads’ chemistry. What a waste. Now the show will only run for 15 mins per episode so any hope of seeing proper Anjol scenes is out the window and also like I predicted everything will be rushed in the end. And most of the scenes in those 15-16 mins will NOT be Anjol related you will see.

The 1.4 TRPs after the wedding week could have been retained nicely if even a couple of the above mentioned reasons had been catered to. But unfortunately this show is blessed with dumb writers and makers. Also Colors unlike Star Plus is a very unforgiving channel when it comes to TRPs.

Well to be honest I am not surprised at all. I saw this coming from the moment the show hit 0.9 mark, I knew this show was on the radar.

On top of tht introducing a damn new character every other week , who has nothing to offer to the storyline , plus turning the mother into a 1st class vamp overnite, plus adding only villians one after another, plus the snail like pace......all of these made a complete mess of the show.

And if tht wasnt enough they turned the female lead into a crybaby who just cries buckets of tears. The same female lead who had the guts to slap the shit out of the dhokebaaz dulha, who broke off her marriage suddenly turned into a weakling was just not done.

Fans kept complaining and complaining ....did anyone listen ??? NO !!!!

They kept adding useless characters like Priyanka, Dida, Priyankas useless friend and now her useless mom to the mix...

Noina's wedding took more than 1 month to finish and its still ongoing....

And most importantly : they keep postponing the AnJol wedding 😡😡, something fans wanna see for a long time now.

So if the show is being axed, they dont have to blame anyone but themselves

Colors can be very ruthless when it comes to the ratings. I hv said before : if Colors can axe shows who brought in TRPs of 1.5 / 1.7, they wont spare TSBTSP

Not surprised but definitely sad

It’s extremely irritating that the CVs never listened to us but I always felt like this show was not going to last right from the start, and this is because it had TOO many characters from the beginning already, which meant that the focal point of the show (Kajol responsibility plus relationship) was obviously going to move at a snail’s pace, that too when almost everyone is a negative or neutral character with nothing else to add. Too many characters and arcs (Kajol and Mukherjees, Anjol, Arjun Shreya Ayan, throwing Naina into the mix) right from the start

You’d think they already had too much on their plates to keep up, and then, lo and behold, they bring Priyanka, HER mother, a completely useless Dida- one new bunch entirely.

There are 5-6 plots in this show, and obviously that’s going to cut down the time for the 1-2 plots people actually want to watch. Gah

We kept ranting so much, partly because we got hooked on (I got hooked on for things like very good performances by the leads and supporting cast, excellent chemistry between actors whether it’s the romance, or dushmani or whatever, and weird reason I know but because I really liked that everyone’s costumes seemed realistic unlike other ITV shows with the exception of the Chatterjee females who are walking caricatured jewelry stores). Lol wasted an entire pool of talent what to say

I hope these guys get good shows and content soon. ID is pretty famous, will see her again in her movie soon which I’m hyped for, would love to see KS in a better scripted story and hopefully non toxic character like Anurag’s, definitely want to see more of Harshad, Patrali etc

Well its too bad; it had a good premise, I wish success to all the cast for the future, this is the error of writers and production house no less.

No point in over analyzing what could have been done instead. As you say Colours is quit happy to shut shows when they wish

We know now this current track will run on for next few weeks; as long as it ends with Anjol, I will be happy; it should at least end on a good note.

I am not over analysing at all. The things that I mentioned are out there for all to see. They are the most common contentions people have had with the show. I am not digging reasons out of nowhere which could be termed as over analysing.

I am disappointed for Ishita and believe have the right to put my point forward as her fan. Like I said, feel free to agree or disagree. And let’s not blame Colors here only. The show had lost the plot and unnecessary and unimportant characters got forced on the audience. So this is where we are at. Channel had no choice if the makers themselves were hell bent on ruining the show.

I don’t know how to post a link. It’s on Insta. They have also mentioned the two new shows that are coming. Kasam 2 and one another. And Bharti’s show and Naagin 6 are replacing BB and TBP on the weekends.

My comment at over analysing is not meant at you so please do not take it personally, its just a general observation now that show is to end.

I do agree with your points and others posted on this thread. It's disappointing for me that the show has to end because as I said the original premise of the story was a good concept.

The only ones here to blame are the creatives of this show, the writers, becoz they are the ones who spoilt this show from the moment Bishu died.

It was as if they lost their way completely after that and they kept bringing unnecessary plots and people into this show.

Even now when they already know that the show is going off air and people are sick & tired of this Priyanka and Dida shit, they keep continuing with their nonsense 🤬🤬

I really don't know why they are sooo over excited about a damn character audience are fed up with....

I wish the cast all the best for their future projects, becoz frankly this show has some very good actors and its too bad it has to end like this.

Like I said, We can’t even blame Colors this time because the makers of this show themselves were hell bent on destroying the show. All the reasons I cited are the fault of the makers. How the makers took this story forward after the marriage track and all their screw up decisions as mentioned.
