See, Sai had a heartbreak, she chose her self respect and moved out but couldn't do it completely, the memories won't leave her. She didn't want to utter Virat's name but did disclose to abhi about her past. And it's her basic character to be impulsive and stubborn, she is still young, a bit immature and stupid... Plus she doesn't have an elder guide in her life. Sometimes you don't do things, it happens. Like in this story, no one knew from Sai's side that VC is actually Virat, so shock on seeing him there, in front of her eyes, made her judgement clouded at the moment. It can't be expected of her to just go and tell abhi everything about Virat at the moment. She needs to overcome her emotions, think about everything.

But I still feel that her deciding to get engaged to Abhi just to move on is wrong. She is unintentionally spoiling his life. She should have first been sure of moving on or not and then make a decision which may spoil someone else's life. But ya, she was not thinking about things thoroughly which made her take an impulsive decision. She saw Virat later, even if Virat hadn't shown up, she might have gone ahead and got engaged to Abhi and later they would have parted as Sai was never happy with this relationship. That's why I feel so bad about this.

You are definitely right about Sai not speaking the truth due to her misery, she became a doctor na so I forgot that she is still in her late 20s. So sorry, my bad there😔

I love Sai Joshi and you know it na. Virat's character can murder someone and it wouldn't come across as a shock,(🤣) but Sai behaving like a stupid and unintentionally spoiling someone's life got me bothered but your words made me question my own POV😊 So, thanks for that👍🏼

Engagement

Happens at Abhi's house. An intimate affair, without much hullabaloo. Sai looks heavenly, Sandhya helped her to get ready.

All their friends are there, they wait for Virat who is late...got busy in some work. Everyone tell them to exchange rings but abhi is stuck that he will get engaged only in presence of his VC sir. Sai goes to have some snacks for herself, when Virat enters...her back facing him. Abhi sees him, he asks Abhi about his would be from a distance, when Abhi points towards Sai. Virat can feel some familiarity, someone special's presence. He goes to abhi, gives him gift, asks him about her, when Sai turns... The rug beneath Virat's feet is pulled. He is stunned seeing Sai. Abhi tells virat about Sai, how she is like him, has no one, how her father, a police officer lost his life in line of duty... Virat instinctively utters Kamal sir's name... Sir, do you know her? Virat tries to hide his emotions, no no, you are new in the force right... Soon you would know that our network is strong. You know about your team members... Virat tries to cover up. You know sir, she was married to an IPS officer, she never talks about him. Virat feels sad... Wants to leave before Sai sees him, makes excuses but Abhi reminds him of his promise. He stays but tries to hide his face from Sai.

Abhi calls sai to meet VC sir... She comes but Virat excuses himself at the last moment for attending an 'important' phone call. Abhi insists to wait for VC sir more but everyone tells them to start and that his VC sir is here, so he will join. Sai is oblivious of Virat's presence.

Sai attempts to slide the ring in his finger but is distracted by the memories of Virat, the ring falls and reaches Virat. Everyone looks at the motion of ring and this is where Sai sees Virat. She tries to control her emotions... Shocked, utters Virat's name...Virat sir...

Sai, you know him already? A confused Abhi asks... Yeah right, just now VC Sir told me about networking. Sai is zoned out, everything that happened with her when Virat was there in her life, be it right or wrong, flashes in front of her eyes, her eyes red and wet... Virat knows Sai's condition exactly... He wants to talk to her, only if she wants...

Sandhya, Aniket, Ajinkya, all are shocked to see that VC is actually Virat... Deepak, Abhi's friend, gets the ring, gives it to sai. Sandhya goes to Sai as a moral support, tells her to postpone the engagement if she wants but Sai is in a flustered state, not in a state of mind to make decisions, just goes with the flow. She remembers Pakhi didi and Shruti and her resolve gets stronger and she slides the ring into Abhi's finger, her hands shaking...

Are you alright, Sai? Abhi asks... No... abhi gets tensed... I mean yes, what will happen to me... Sai fakes a smile...abhi, can you do it fast please? I am feeling a bit suffocated here... Need to go out and have some open air... Abhi slides the ring, he is very happy, unknown to what is happening around him. He wishes to go to Virat with Sai for his blessings... Tells the same to Sai... Sai obliges. They both touch his feet. He tells sai that he is his VC sir... She remembers Kamal sir and Virat's bond, all the times when she touched his feet to seek his blessings and how whole heartedly he blessed her always to be the best doctor, to be happy. Virat remembers all those moments too, but today he is blessing her for a new life with someone else. The Virat Chavan, who couldn't tolerate his wife talking to any other men, is blessing her to be with someone else. He feels extremely jealous but can't show it. Sai's friends are very scared knowing Virat's temper. He blesses them but not as a couple but as individuals. Abhi asks him... Sir, you talk about your wife but we never got a chance to see her, meet her... I thought you might get her today and we will be blessed by her ominous presence on our special occasion but... Nevermind... Virat directly looks at Sai, Sai looks at him briefly, only to break her glance and starts stealing glances at him.

Unable to bear the shock, Sai goes out, abhi stays with his VC sir...how is my Sai, VC sir... I have a nice choice right... Virat, who is lost in his thoughts... Yes beautiful... His eyes sparkle. Abhi is happy... But what is this 'my'... Possessive now? Let the marriage happen... Virat says in a strict tone... Abhi gets confused... Before he asks, Aniket and other come to see Virat sir and pretend that they are meeting him for the first time. Ajinkya avoids him, doesn't come to meet.

Sandhya goes to check if Sai is alright. Sai sends her off with the promise that she will take care of herself and won't do any stupidity. Sandhya goes...

Why did he have to come back and that too at this point when I am finally trying to move on with someone else... She breaks down, falls, sits there, not able to bear the excess weight, she feels in her chest. No sai, you have to be strong... I don't even know about him, maybe he got another zimmedaari, maybe he got married to Pakhi didi, maybe someone else... Why am I thinking so much. I am moving on with abhi. He is so good, he likes me so much, does so much for me... But virat sir also did so much for me but how we ended. How will I move on in his presence... Abhi worships him, how can I ask him to not be present in the subsequent functions. How will I move on in his presence...I don't know if I can control myself the next time I see him.

Virat excuses himself... Abhi, I want to leave, it's time... Will meet your would be some other time. Abhi let's him go. However, Virat is not leaving, not this time. He tries to find Sai, sees her in a bad state. His first instinct is to comfort her but then hesitates, remembers sai telling him to move on and let her move on, leave her alone... However, he can't leave now, whatever she says...

He goes and touches her shoulder... Sai knows the touch, gets emotional as well as alert...saiii...

She doesn't turn, Virat should not see that she never left. Sai, you won't even see me now? Saiii...

Sai tries to compose herself... Why, why should I see you? Aren't your zimmedaaris there to see you or are you finally free now from zimmedaaris. Virat gets a bit angry but understands that it's not her but her hurt speaking. Sai tries to be calm... Anyways you are not that handsome that I have to see you turning around. Sai wipes her tears...

Virat gets happy and remembers the times when he wanted to hear from her that he was handsome and she never admitted...and you have grown older too... Your gray hair are more visible from a distance... Virat smiles

And you have grown more beautiful...

Have you moved on Virat sir? Virat does not answer...

After a brief silence, he replies... It doesn't matter if I moved on or not, but I see you are moving on. Now toh you are a big doctor too. Sai turns around... He gets stuck at the moment... She too takes her time to see him, to glance at his face, to register his features... just in front of her...her Virat sir, from whom she was eager to know if he loved her, who used to be in her dreams... That Virat sir is there, standing right in front of her.

Virat sir, you didn't tell me...how is Pakhi didi?

I don't know sai, she doesn't exist for me. She is my elder brother's wife, gave a chirag to kaku... Everyone is happy. Oh, Pakhi didi and Samrat dada had a baby... What's his name? Vihaan...

You didn't tell me, you didn't remarry Virat sir? Why do you want to know about it Sai? How does it matter? You aren't returning to me, are you? Sai looks at him... You are moving on... Yes, I am Virat sir...but I want to make sure you do to... No sai, I didn't marry... Why Virat sir?

Virat again gets hurt by the distance sai is trying to maintain...he starts leaving when Sai goes and hugs him spontaneously, like she is not able to control herself. Virat gets surprised by her move but gives in in an instant.. he hugs her tight, when Sai realises she did something she shouldn't have done... Loosens her grip, tries to push Virat off but he doesn't want to leave the peace he got after so long. Virat sir...she taps his shoulder... Virat sir, abhi... And Virat leaves her... He sees around to see abhi but abhi isn't there... Virat sir, you should leave...

Virat leaves, while Sai stands there. Abhi comes looking for her, sees her all sad, tears all over her face... Asks her if she is alright, she says yes... Sandhya comes, makes some excuse on her behalf and takes her back to their apartment.

The biggest complaint I've have with both KD & Ghum is their respective MLs didn't go through the tadap of being 3rd wheel which both Imon and Sai go throughout not just that always love interest of the MLs is so bloody unfair. Why not girls have fun? I want to see you make Virat tadpao in your next parts PLEASE. I wanna get sadistic pleasure atleast from these FFs if not the show...
