Yes it seems only virat is making money( IPS officers get good Salary ) .. rest are just scraping by .. they have a lot of people lazing around .. mohit doesn’t seem to earn much .. but he goes for dramas .. but see samrat , Mansi , Shivani all don’t have a job .. there are so many people living in the house 12 adults .. with effectively one business ( orange selling ) feeding all .. only virat has cash to splurge on his wife .. and omi must be stealing coffers to buy jewellery for Sonali

ninad retired early from army . so cannot be cash rich just enough pension to feed wife n child ..

They have a family business of oranges which sustains them . But they cannot be called rich .. just impoverished

Wealth and fame of Chavans is overrated on the show when they show them always fighting to buy smallest of things in life. Sometimes, I feel how do they manage to live in a mansion as big as Chavan niwas, when they fight for basic expenses..it was, maybe, made by Nagesh chavan by all his bribe money.

The thing is they make Zillat drama out of anything and can stretch it for an episode or two easily, the level they go in these fights is too low, with directly questioning someone's upbringing or telling their wish to their nephew of changing his wife is too much. Another thing is they have to use a big thing like having a heir as the reason for a small thing like going to a mall for shopping.

Chavans have ancestral home. Noway they could have afforded that mansion :D
