Nervous breakdown and anxiety attacks are not something that anyone can control. You need a medical professional to provide clear directions, as it can backfire. What can calm one person with a nervous breakdown may make it worse for others. A person being injured on the street, if you know how to provide first aid is fine otherwise even they don't move a person, they wait for an ambulance.

Umar is a doctor so he knows the techniques which may help her but he wasn't her doctor so even he may not be 100% sure. Without Afsana's permission they couldn't even discuss her management techniques.

A mentally ill person should not be in a house where she is a threat to herself and others. That is dangerous. A person who is committing suicide and if you are not a negotiator you cannot try to talk them down. They may jump. Similarly mental health is not something that anyone can manage. None of them there are professionals except Umar and he tried to manage it.

Please please please please please don't say this.

Mental illness does not discriminate. The rich fall prey to it just like the poor. The sophisticated fall prey to it just like less sophisticated people.

Don't judge a person's mental illness. Don't mock it. Don't stereotype it. Don't victim blame.

Have sympathy. Have empathy. Have humanity.

Afsana ko insults, humiliation, attacks ki zaroorat nahi, use support, insaniyat or peace ki zaroorat haii.

Was this a panic attack or a temper tantrum then leading to mental breakdown of sorts with the words she used like molestation? I havent seen the epi, Seems like she couldnt take the mocking etc and decided to act up? I am not entirely sure. But Good for her she is out. She isnt equipped to take the pressure inside. Wish her luck

Unfortunately on a platform like Bigg Boss you cannot tell wether a person genuine or faking it.. .contestant do alot of stunts in the name of entertainment but still people around should show more humanity even if they think its fake or to be highlighted in the show

Unfortunately that's the nature of reality TV. However, had it been fake believe me others would have played along and tried to steal footage. Teja and Vishal especially would have jumped in. Notice that when she was just angry ( ie didn't reach tipping point) outside, unnecessarily people were ganging up on her to get footage. But when she was having the breakdown inside, except Umar nobody was trying to comfort her. Cos at that time she was taking out her anger on herself. That this fattu housemates are cool with.

I have not seen the episode yet but i feel shows such as Bigg Boss have started using sensitive issues such as mental health for entertainment ..to create drama and get TRPs ...

I am sure these contestants go under medical check up before entering ..they should not be in such shows in first place

Well we are all forgetting the part where she was instigated by the Queen herself. She used all her chellas to do it and when Afsana started loosing the plot she slyly walked away. The queen wanted her out and knew exactly how to get that.

In real life yahi hota hai dear because nobody is mad. One person should have sense as to what they are doing. Ye kya baat hui ya kisi ne data kudh ko marna peetna. It's almost like you are threatoning others you will go against me I will do this. Everytime the housemates did try to understand her. They supported her because they love her not because she is right. Though I haven't seen the episode so I may not be qualified to give opinion but my opinion is based on general that is real life circumstances. Afsana is adult who is earning should spend some money on mental health. Jo samajta hi nahi usi koi problem woh kya heal hoga. Har bar shonu baba karke log use pyar karte hai and wapas ye wahi karti hai. In therapy sessions also people have to find their triggers and not react on them. It's not like u take a tablet u are healed.

That is the thing she was not mentally strong to handle such instigation. When your psyche is damaged then anyone can get an upper hand. Afsana is deeply disturbed woman and she needs help. She was beyond control and so are her anger issues. We all get angry and we all have had at one point fought badly but normal healthy individual is in control. They should know when one is playing a game and that was lacking in Afsana. Not defending Shamita as she is not my favorite but your mental health is your responsibility. If anyone is to be blamed is her family who must know how bad her condition is and didn't try to intervene. A person who wants to kill himself you don't take them near the edge of the cliff and say look how beautiful the view is. I don't understand why didn't her family intervened? This is not her first outburst I am sure and it won't be her last. I get she is an adult but she is very ill and she is out of control. She gave the weapon herself for Shamita to fire at her.

I dont entirely believe Afsana has mental health issues, I felt it was all for game. Its more like throwing tantrums around, maybe shes a pampered and protected person back home so anyone going against her doesn't go down well. And I say this because the way she was arguing with BB over her leaving the house, isn't mental health its more like stubbornness. She wants it her way.
