Respect your view. I would disagree somewhat. I dont think Pratik has been given fair chances. Yes, he hid the screw in the chariot task but that did not disqualify Jay - jay could still have continued as teja had said there but he chose to rather spoil it for pratik to a level that he couldnt continue. His hatred didnt end there and he carried it to the next task where again Pratik did not get to play to enter the house as Jay - being his partner was spoiling it for him and everyone else. SO it wouldnt be right to say he has been given chances fairly. It is absolutely ok if they dont wish to bow before him. But then so is pratik from his perspective. There must be a reason BB said aapsi sehmati and not bahumat? It just shows who is willing to give it up and who not.
And I respect yours back. See, to my mind, Pratik had absolutely no reason to remove that screw - the game hadn’t even begun - but it’s what he does, and that can get very annoying - for both viewers and the HMs. It’s different if he cheats within the task - people can opine on that as they will depending on the instance - but he tends to often spoil things before the task even begins. People would have the basic expectation to at least start off fairly.
So I think he is given his fair chances - even by the HMs, despite starting off with OTT privileges, and being so very disruptive in week one. But he still rubs them the wrong way. This is not going to be the only time captaincy contenders are decided by mutual agreement - Pratik needs to learn to give a little IMO. Because tomorrow, he’ll be in the opposite position.
Playing for yourself is fine - but Pratik’s version of it is more often than not synonymous with messing a task up, or for others. And equally, to unreasonably make demands, even in instances where he hasn’t earned that right. To me - that’s not him not giving up - it’s him being frankly - the child who wants the lollipop come what may.
