I agree. Pakhi's interference has been Sai's pain point. We feel at home when we are staying with our parents, siblings, maybe close friends for some, spouse or a room for which we have paid. When Sai was married, Virat and Sai were not really husband-wife nor were they close friends. Sai came to CN under the "zimmedari" tag, which is neither here nor there. She did try to exert her haq on the room early on ...either as Virat's wife or as someone to whom the room belonged for the duration of time she was going to be there....but Pakhi's invasion of her personal space time and again and Virat being deaf to Sai's protests on that score ...determined Sai's attitude. Instead of feeling a sense of belonging, she began to see the room as a temporary.

Apart from Pakhi and inability to handle the tumultuous feelings and insecurities he developed for Sai he has mostly put a lot of efforts in this relationship...But is this "third person" not the biggest problem of this relationship that can destroy any normal relationship. Can one trivialize the whole issue, by saying oh he loves her, takes care of her its just that he cant handle his ex. The way he let Pakhi ;grow' and come between the two, he always unintentionally made Sai the third person in the relationship the three share...It all started from hi jiske wajah se Maine apni sabse pyaari cheez kho di... Its not that he would have stopped her from putting a frame in the room...He would have liked it if she did, as he always wanted her to feel home...but the point here is he failed to make her feel so by allowing his ex, by giving her the authority to comment on their relationship and reprimanding Sai when she questioned back, he never made her feel home... There is a difference in wanting something and actually doing something, She never felt the belongingness, which is the most important aspect of any marriage....She was rejected ridiculed and insulted anyway by the most relevant people of the house..Even the room seemed to be not hers....It did not come to her naturally that she can put the frame in this room... the way it came the first thing she enters her room..

Totally off-topic. I was thinking about how the third angle could have been stretched this long without seeming this ridiculous. And probably the fault lies with Pakhi's characterization. She should have been made much less vile and more sly, who keeps her cards close to her heart. Instead of the version we have who behaves aggressively with Sai quite openly. She should have been someone who is quite sweet normally, and plays her cards only at the most opportune moment ....and in such a subtle way that her intentions can be mistaken. It would be understandable why Virat fails to see the truth. But Sai being more perceptive will be able to see through Pakhi's games....but at the same time be confused about Virat's response ...whether it is coming from his ignorance or his soft spot for Pakhi. In real life, manipulative people do manage to create differences among two people....and they do it by being sly, not by spilling out their emotions. Pakhi could have been an emotional fool, but she could still be smart. It would have given dignity to Pakhi's character and also made her more compelling. Virat has to have his flaws/weakness for all this to work....but he would not have looked dumb ignoring her obvious intentions or easily forgiving her vile deeds. Making Pakhi a former classmate whom Virat liked would have added layers to the story. But sadly, they didn't invest time in making such little tweaks.

I think Patralekha , the third angle exists because of how Virat deals or is unable to deal with her..There was no scope anyway. Also the way the writers make the other characters let go everything when it comes to Patralekha...Remember when Sai revealed it all about their past , the two kept mum and Sai was called out...and when everything was out yet Sai was called names for being the bad Bahu of the house... I dont think Patralekha as the third angle would have sustained if not for Virat's dumbness.. I can just call him dumb because if its anything else then he is borderline two timing....

Remember I told you about how one of my aunt's house helps mentioned how she sees Sai as an orphan demeaned by the husband, since he loves someone else and wants a wife also beside him, two women in two different pockets..... Well thats how it comes across to so many people.. because of the leverage he has given to Patralekha..

He is the one who has nurtured the vileness in her, nurtured her interference in their relationship , she was not really having hopes from him when he married Sai...it was Virat who he gave her hopes, allowed her in his relationship with Sai and also let her degrade Sai at every given opportunity by being mostly a mute spectator. So if not for his foolishness and his evading attitude there was no third angle here..

Along with all that the actor playing Patralekha is absolutely pathetic in her portrayal..She was supposed to be manipulative cunning but poised and dignified. Patralekha recently because of her agressive body language towards everyone, including her husband looks like some road side goon...

When Virat sees Sai dancing and she mentions Aniket...He apologises to her for entering the room while she was dancing...she says its your room and he says its our room now ...She then answers that this room is yours and you have given me the permission to stay here...

I agree Virat had to have his flaws, weaknesses - his tendency to get manipulated, his tendency to get instigated when burning in his emotions, his extreme guilt etc. But Pakhi's open overtures towards him and her aggressive behaviour with Sai is making him look like a complete brainless fool - or more logically as a two-timer. Not only Pakhi's characterization, even the plot should have been tweaked - where until after Samrat's return, she should never have revealed her feelings to Virat. And also, not made to do things that lays bare her intentions like in Ajinkya kaand. It would still make sense for Sai to feel insecure.

I agree that the plot is wafer thin as it is ....it would have been made less ridiculous atleast. The family's blindness to impropriety adds to the absurdity. All contrived plots which makes no sense ...even in the original.

I feel Sai should stick her guns .. and stay in this room .. till virat makes considerable efforts to distance himself from patralekha..

She has to make virat understand that patralekha cannot be a part of their marriage .. her ability to enter her space is not welcome .. and she won’t tolerate this if she goes back in his room ..

True...its not Patralekha that is a problem here, but Virat's attitude and lack of attitude towards her that is a here...

He did try to make their marriage relationship work. But what's the use when he ignored the main hindrance which he himself created.

I thought she preferred it that way or its the callousness from the CVs.. However the first thing she says in the room she will get to call her own is that she would like to hang the photo on the wall where she could see him whenever she is in the room... It might not have occurred to the Virat after ousting drama... But I am sure it would have occurred to the Virat before that....That Virat cared for her, beyond himself, wanted her to feel comfortable and at home.

The room, it was always Virat's room... never hers.. She was given permission to live in that room... How true it all was...

But the scene where sai was wearing virat's t-shirt,at that scene kamal sir's picture was on the dressing table.
