She never felt , 'it' belonged to her!!

I felt really bad for Virat when she said this to him after the "Mohe Rang De Lal" sequence... And today I realised why she said this.. This girl always kept her Aaba's picture in the cupboard.. I thought she preferred it that way or its the callousness from the CVs.. However the first thing she says in the room she will get to call her own is that she would like to hang the photo on the wall where she could see him whenever she is in the room... It might not have occurred to the Virat after ousting drama... But I am sure it would have occurred to the Virat before that....That Virat cared for her, beyond himself, wanted her to feel comfortable and at home.

The room, it was always Virat's room... never hers.. She was given permission to live in that room... How true it all was...

Also like she said in the last confrontation, she told PP she cannot even put up a board stopping her because the room is not hers. Virat never gave her that feeling otherwise she had made it clear umpteen times she doesn't like P's presence in their room yet she had the confidence to sashay in each time.

I hope they show a mirror to Virat about this, but I known they won't.

This exactly. Virat failed to make her feel secure. How excited she was to have a room of her own. That's why I said had she was away from virat she would have got detached from virat. She will definitely miss him & but she would have been happy with the other things she had. Her first thought after entering her room was not virat, it is about where to hang her aaba photo. But sadly aai smartly locked her in a emotional way so that she never feel disconnected with virat. Virat is such a self absorbed person that he never understand her insecurities despite her telling him many times.

I dont think she would get detached from Virat...That is certainly not possible...But she will surely be able to make a "happy" life for herself beyond him...Virat will not be able to. Both Aai and Virat know she is capable of a life beyond Virat. She did think about him wistfully not being there with her...even before Aai could point out...but she would never let that feeling take over her.

True a lot of people have pointed out her Pakhi jaap irritates them...But her concerns like these...something that she said the first day Pakhi entered her room has always been squashed by Virat. She did not like Pakhi being in the room and was pretty much open about it, however after the whole DIG incident she was made to realise she is the third person and since then she has never felt that welcome. She did get back calling it hamara room after some time...but then Harini incident she stopped...Virat's inability to stop Pakhi, and his ability to let her grow venomous, in fact to breed her... had caused this distance and this alien feeling in his wife, which I am sure would never be addressed since the character played by a certain actress cannot be called out vile openly in the show.

Agree. That's why I said she will miss him for sure. But capable of leading a happy life without him & after some days could have let herself detached from him or she would have kept his good memories in her heart & lead a happy life. Whereas virat will indulge himself in self pity or guilt throughout his life. Till now sai is emotionally strong & capable of setting her priorities. Not denying that sai loves virat but she don't let that love over power her.

Detached I will not say...Because she would always see some parts of her Aaba in him..some mannerisms, some remnants...She grew up hearing about him...She knows her Aaba chose to die for this man, her Aaba chose this man to take care of her... This man did take her out of deep mess.... And this man would remain to be her first love...She can not get detached from him...Her Aaba would always be the link between the two...But yes she is capable of a life without him.... You know that song in the end..

I agree. Pakhi's interference has been Sai's pain point. We feel at home when we are staying with our parents, siblings, maybe close friends for some, spouse or a room for which we have paid. When Sai was married, Virat and Sai were not really husband-wife nor were they close friends. Sai came to CN under the "zimmedari" tag, which is neither here nor there. She did try to exert her haq on the room early on ...either as Virat's wife or as someone to whom the room belonged for the duration of time she was going to be there....but Pakhi's invasion of her personal space time and again and Virat being deaf to Sai's protests on that score ...determined Sai's attitude. Instead of feeling a sense of belonging, she began to see the room as a temporary.

Hmm agree. Her main reason for getting attached to virat is he is the man her aaba choosed for her. And of course virat too made some efforts for her to make her feel happy like her aaba.

Yet apart from Pakhi and inability to handle the tumultuous feelings and insecurities he developed for Sai, he has mostly put a lot of efforts in this relationship...
