Reading your reactions make me sad. Like even if Sid proposing could not lift up our spirits and the show, I highly doubt what else can.....

Why o why does mithai never speak up? If dadai indeed returns back to sonsar after all this, then it is juts proved ki puro jinis ta natok cilo for emotional blackmail. I hope somoresh or at least someone calls him out on this despicable behaviour. Sid is always so eager to kotha sunao to his father, why can't he also show the mirror toh his dadai when he is wrong?

But everything aside... If the marriage is really happening (and seems like it is), I feel now it will be sid who will he invested in making this relationship work and mithai who will lose interest. At least I hope it is something like that. Otherwise, what's the point of naming it "ulto puran"?

Earlier Sid didn't bother to ask Mithai, he just dragged her to the mandap n ordered her to marry him for Dadai's sake..

And this time too Sid dragged Mithai to the Puja room, knelt down n proposed.. But Mithai still doesn't have an option.. She had to say Yes for Dadai's sake or else he wouldn't return n the entire blame would have been Mithai's.. Sid er opor r kono blame thakto na..

Yeap I know.....I was just trying to justify myself that maybe the family might be thinking in this line....

There are many faults in the story......e pas o pas khamche kichu positivity.....I am also eagerly waiting for Sid mithai personal talk.....but I am sure that this tym Sid would not ignore the marriage....the way he said Ami biye ta mene niachi to borobabu.....indicates that.....

The biggest problem in this whole story line is that they never really prioritised what mithai wants?.....

Divorce....dadai er khela....tyash tyash er ma borobabuur jed

Rudy sathe natok.....dadai er khela....holy sh*t.....he didn't even asked whether she was comfortable or not.....pure mental torture.....

Tar por ....Sid ....Ami Singapore gelam.....tumi family ke samal dao......

Monohora charlo......setao ma er daulate......

Ar tarpor remarriage..... reason tui to Sid ke bhalobashis....so her sad smile is enough...

While the rest of us are trying to overcome this and call people out for their misogynistic behaviour, we have bengal topper Mithai, thought to be a progressive and positive story, among other regressive ITV stories, peddling this "You are a woman. Your sole motive in life is to serve and love the man you have been sold oops married to" narrative.

This has once again reinforced my fear that all ITV shows start out happy positive progressive but meander into the same regressive bullcrap.

This is the 21st century for god's sake. Atleast let the woman have an opinion!

They are beyond happy coz Sid proposed n Mithai accepted even though she had no option to reject coz oh wait why would she since she's in love with this guy 😐 Which I dunno how come she even fell in love with him at the 1st place 🙄 Sid just sang one song for her coz Sushmita aunty n Rajib Da had requested him n she fell in love with Sid the very next moment 🤐

She ate his eto-kata and he scolded her and served her fresh food, then he fried begun for her...I thought it was during this time she fell for him. But falling for someone only because they sang a nice song for you, that too upon being forced, is just plain ridiculous!

He's said this quite a few times and it annoys me because its fully true, and even though Dadai cites it, he continues to undermine her opinion and her wishes by using this as an excuse to force things upon both Sid and Mit. Do you see the paradox?

@Bold - No Mishti, she fell in love with Sid long before that.. After the Saraswati Pujo blunder (Sid returned home drunk thanks to Tyash Bori) when SidMit went to Rajib Da's house to manaofy Sushmita Aunty, sei tokhon theke she started feeling kuch kuch hota hai UchcheBabu tum nai samjhoge 🙄

Sree was the 1st one to realize that she was in love coz she heard Mithai's monologue at night.. And Mithai tokhon charidike sudhu Ek ajnabi haseena se gaan sunte peto 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

And that was the most random n weird I've ever seen any FL falling in love on any show 🙄 There was no build up at all..

Achcha epi is out n SidMit had a chhotu sa conversation.. Sid realized she was having doubts regarding Sid's sudden decision n hence didn't say Yes..

He even tells Mithai that he can't think of anyone else as his wife .. Coz Mithai asked him why her??

And then Halla Party arrived.. Their new project is to make Sid fall in love with Mithai 🤦🏻‍♀️

Bold- But acc to ITV NO. And you know as ITV serials are watched by mostly aunties and you know how there thoughts are! So it is to please them not us. And this is also the reason I have stopped watching ITV series completely
