Maybe some of these recordings are what I believe are called "Scratches" - songs recorded in the voices of upcoming artists just to give the established artist a feel of what is required, before they re-record the one that finally gets used.

Three together would not be scratching 🤣.
It is true that many recordings here are either voice tests or scratches.

But it seems that there is no external director involved. So they may be recording something that will be mixed later.

Ok folks, don't hold me to it but my best guess, based on similar situations in the past, is that they are recording for a Sony serial. IL10 alumni recorded for a couple of serials including a Gayatri mantra and other songs for Vignaharta Ganesh.

Could be. PD and Danish have already recorded for an episode of the Sai Baba serial during the time when Indian Idol was on. Early Jan.

Yes, I saw the tag - that was what prompted the question if they are related - because somebody (SK2014?) mentioned that looking at the tags it seems some family business.

Ha ha. True.

But for a singer it's good to have experience to sing with different people. They will know how to modulate their voice according to cosingers scales and pitch so that they can be in sync. Singing with same singer puts them in comfort zone which is not good for long run in my opinion. Anyway it's upto them how they want to deal with their careers. I don't think they have much choice.

Eventhough all of them say they are all friends, they seem to have strong biases and groups within them based on interviews. Will be interesting to see whose bonds stay long in future.

After reading all insights from @Realityshow and these insta stories iam just doubting is it just an attention grabbing attempt?? It's Faridi who is actually recording. Considering all of them staying in Mumbai may be roaming together I guess. Just a wild guess.
