This is my viewpoint on why we needed this space between Virat and Sai. The established facts are lack of open communication and the MU breeding from it. Virat’s inability to come clear with Sai has been the prime reason. But I want to analyse this from a different perspective, where this aloofness and distancing is required as the first step in their relationship. This has to be a gradual stepwise progression.
Realisation is important before confession! Virat knows about his love, Sai hasn’t realised it. Infact she is not even fully aware of his importance in her life yet. What it means to have him in her life. She is too stubborn to look at it, and there is no one to properly guide her. For her, he is someone who was given her responsibility by her father, who resembles her father in many ways, a good human being, her guardian who has gone out of his way for her well being as part of his responsibility. And this can go on for a long time, if Virat complied, as Sai somewhere has become comfortable in this space. Without Pakhi in picture to cause any disruption in their relationship, they are in a more secure and happier zone that she even tends to forget the deal. And for her these are egg shells, she will not want to initiate slightest change with the fear of losing it all.
Now lets assume Virat had confessed his feelings and revealed his past to her. There are strong chances that Sai would not have believed him. She could have possibly seen it as one of his sacrifices for her. And Sai would never accept to be part of this sacrifice. Even if she believes him she would possibly go ahead with the marriage in the true sense, without honouring it out of love. She would think of it more as an act of gratitude or payback for his “favours”. Since she is unaware that she loves him, it will seemingly be a sympathetic act, than love. Maybe she realises at some stage maybe not, maybe Virat notices the sympathetic or gratitude intent, that would be even worse.. esp to make him guilt trodden.
Hence, it is imperative that she realises her love before anyone confesses. I know it will be a painful realisation with the insecurity and uncertainty looming over, but then thats what it is. The testing time of their relationship. The make or break! And then I also doubt her capability in believing someone who tries to make her see Virat’s love and her love for him. She would have pushed them away as well for not believing her viewpoint. So this distance, this separation, physical and emotional is the way to her realisation. You take people in your life for granted, its only when you lose or the fear to lose sets in that we suddenly realise the value, the feelings attached.
If only Virat had done this before, things would have sped up and it would not have been this painful for both. And things wouldn’t have been so complicated with Samrat’s return.
