Rang De Basanti, Swades, Chak De India are iconic and will go down in history of Indian cinema..

Lets not forget that Lagaan was India's official entry to the Oscars that year.. the music is also evergreen...

TBH - Most 90s movies too emphasised on Desi culture and NRI nostalgia..

We are discussing that the patriotic movies being made in today's times are being done by only Hindu superstars like Kangana, Hrithik or Akshay.

Kangana is as 'Hindu' as a drug addict trying to get free meals at the ISKCON centre. She is a disgrace to Hinduism and she's going to hell for using faith as prop in the hate mongering fits she throws every Tuesday. The joke is on you if you think she's doing these films out of patriotism. She's greedy for larger than life roles like the Rani of This place or the Amma of that place so that she can act out her narcissism. And greedy for the perks the ruling party throws at her for doing their bidding. If ,God forbid ,India is taken over by an Islamic regime she d change her tune in a second and start yelling Pakistani Mata Ki Jai on twitter or wherever she is atm.

John Abraham does alot of patriotic films.

He comes from a half Christian half Parsi family. Although I believe he's an atheist.

I think Swades is the best movie out of all of these - it highlights our issues and shows us the importance of staying united, its a message that all Indians need to hear.
