Justification for my answer to question 3:

If we let the middle aged women die, we are defeating the same purpose we tried to achieve by saving the orphaned 18 year old kid. Now we end up with two orphaned kids who can face the same situation in future.

If we save the middle aged woman, then we are not only saving one person but, also stopping another person from becoming an orphan.😊

My comment on question 4:
