So, what DN had before marriage can't be termed as a affair.

She called Hamza, met him (didn't let him touch her though) and post that decided to file for a divorce. She met Hamza post Haider slapped her, questioned her character, went and complained to her mom and post Hamza came and sort of took a stand for her. But what she is doing now is stupid. She is shown as quite a dumb character as per me.

Yes characters like Haider , DN, Hamza etc. Are real but they should not be justified. Their wrong doings should have repercussions so that audience can realise what is right and wrong.

They in a way did justify his slap. In the interview writer said that actor was okay with the slap, Haider's anger was building up and poor fellow just burst out.

Even in the drama when Hamza questions DN that Haider always humiliates her..she defended Haider by saying that it was coz maybe I did something wrong (I don't remember the exact lines but this is what she meant)

We are yet to see Haider verbally apologise to DN for slapping and humiliating her...I hope this at least happens if nothing else.

Yes such dramas don't really change how a society thinks but at least they can avoid promoting stuff which is wrong. But like u said all is business and at the end of the day ratings are what matter.

And producers will continue to create such regressive content untill and unless they get ratings while beautiful shows like DNUTN etc. Are unable to reach wider audience despite being so progressive and inspiring. But I will prefer shows like DNUTN over Fitoor.

Yes, even I feel the same...ideal ending would be all 4 ending up alone, reflecting on their own mistakes and trying to become better versions of themselves. None of these characters deserve to be with each other tbh.

You keeping mentioning the writer's interview which i have not watched .my opinion is based on the episodes i have watched ..not what the actor and writers have said ...

I agree with promoting the right message majority of people have seen the hypocrite Haider and have no sympathy for him ..we can see the obsessive Hamza ...we can see how wrong DN's brother and mother are ...but i think the writer's failed with the ending ..rather then showing DN as grey ..they could have shown her as a strong individual who moves on without the need of any man ...this would be the right message ..would have encouraged many women in her position ...

Writer in an interview said that a girl should try not to fall in love before marriage. She needs to be careful. Because if she gets married to someone else then it would create problem in her married life.

BUT why is the same not followed when it comes to a man ? She didn't utter a single word about this ..

Writer herself admitted that people often expect women to be perfect but same rules don't apply for men which is wrong BUT she herself has done the same in Fitoor.

A girl can be forcefully married against her wishes and it's fine as per the writer. No repercussions whatsoever.

A brother can openly threaten his sister of murdering her but again that's absolutely fine coz in next scene he can simply hug her.

For a husband his wife should pure and pious and shouldn't have any past but he can surely have a past and shouldn't be questioned for it.

He can slap her, humiliate her and instead of verbally apologising can simply try to buy her forgiveness by gifting her a necklace and yet gets away with everything and will be considered merely as flawed. What if DN had slapped him and humiliated him.

Husband and Wife who aren't even in love with each other yet have a physical relationship where wife gets pregnant too.

Mehmal's husband - A man can be a complete casanova, can slap his wife but then he comes and apologizes and the woman is supposed to forgive him and go back. Plus Mehmal who was always so self centric has a realization and simply goes back after pining for Haider for like 40 odd episodes

All of these seems so regressive to me at least.

It is regressive but also reality... Still in most parts a woman's affair before marriage is frowned upon n I feel they showed it realistically... What I hated was haider hypocrisy... Him slapping her, him bringing mehmal n being touchy with her... He may not have feelings but once ur wife has expressed doubt now he should stay away...

As per pregnancy... They had a stage in marriage where both accepted each other n moved on before mehmal brought hamza into picture.. So this baby is very much acceptable plot point...

Mehmal husband track is also justified closure coz mehmal went knowingly into relationship coz she wanted a rich husband.... She dumped haider n now craved for him... When she heard about pregnancy.. She made an exit...

What did I just see😲 Ye kaisa precap tha epi 41 ka😆 dn acting up, mehmal left haider , haider wants the baby , dn wants humza , humza won't leave dn😲

What writer has said in the interview the same is being shown in the serial as well.

Writer should have shown the repurrcusions which she failed to show. She should have shown the characters suffering coz of their misdeeds but that never happened.

She made DN grey so that Haider can be justified and then way can be paved way for DN-Haider ..in the process she ended up justifying a lot of regressive stuff.

Agree writer should have shown DN as a strong woman who chose to leave her husband and started afresh, made her own mark and career.

How I wished all 4 ended up alone. That would have been an ideal ending as per me

Reality is also how women move out of toxic marriages and relationships. Like I said why promote regressive mentality. Why not rise above it and show something progressive. Why promote and justify that yes a girl should not fall in love before marriage. Why justify that families can forcefully marry their daughter. Why not call out the toxicity of such families and of those brothers who threaten and emotionally blackmail their sisters.

I thought DN and Haider had never reached that level where they were in love with each other so much so that they ended up conceiving a baby.

She knew her husband was a casanova but he did humiliate her and slapped her plus she was pining after Haider for almost 40 epis ...So, after so much manipulation and plotting, she ended up leaving as soon as her husband came back. So, she had no self respect whatsoever and what happened in 40th episode could have shown earlier as well. Her ending is extremely underwhelming tbh. I thought she would do something concrete or maybe will be left alone in the end just to show repercussions of her misdeeds but nope her character just fizzled out.

Is DN pregnant? Dn were in love with Hamza nah? Then when why how she fell for her hypocrite husband that she got even pregnant? Kitni easy hai pregnancy in these show ... So much love that get pregnant 😆 DN deserve hypocrite only if she love hypocrite as much and keep getting slap publicly for silly reason. Waisey backbone toh hai ee nahi.

And I liked how they didn't make mehmal an out an out star plus vamp

She was grey and her touchy scenes with Haider was mostly from her side ....

Haider didn't show romantic feelings for her after wedding but he was protective and was worried for her as she had been their responsibility since childhood....so he cudnt just shove her away but I never found him approaching mehmal with romantic feelings

It's just that Haider mehmal has a comfort level from childhood....so even if they hold hands it doesn't look vulgar or out of place

Hamza is an outsider .....so there was no holding hands with DN even when they were in a relationship....things got over even before forming that comfort level

So we really can't compare Haider mehmal vs DN Hamza relationship as far as physicality is concerned

Coming back to Haider....the hypocrisy shown here is there in Asian culture...not just from the husband's eyes but from everyone....

In every show we see the husband going astray then coming back and apologizing and things getting normal

But I m glad here they will show both sides making mistakes apologizing and accepting each other irrespective of the past

And that's what makes the show different and that's what is earning so much trps and millions of online viwership....now that recently I have caught up on the whole show ......now I m in a better position to comment on the characters

Writing of this show is so trash and regressive tbh ..in the name of complex, flawed characters they ended up creating dumb, spineless, hypocritical and regressive characters and then went ahead and justified their hypocricy and regressive mentality as well.😆

I think Mehmal never loved Haider ...she wanted money so she left Haider ..and when she had the money she wanted care and love from her husband which he refused ...

When she saw how Haider was treating his wife, she decided she can get him back ..so she will have love and money ..and when she saw her hubby giving her what she wanted she didnt waste a second to move back with him

DN also loves Haider but cannot forget how he treated her ..her hesitation with Hamza is pretty clear
