And we start the episode by Aastha leading the side. Such beautiful dialogues. "Women have to pay the price of freedom!"

Very true indeed that women do struggle for their own freedom. What I loved is her telling anokhi like the sun no one can cage her. Beautiful 💝.

Sad how Bhalla senior brings sweets for a son who has not even reached but couldn't care of his daughter. Now you can clearly see, anokhi wants that love and acknowledgement that he gives Raja. Just few words of praise. To me it feels that is why she riles him up and fights with him.And also the fact that she wants him to become a better human being! 🤔

Irrespective of the fact that their father openly loves the son more, both sisters don't resent him. It's beautiful to see that. On the face of it, it does feel that he too equally loves his sisters and is just being a careless young adult.

Options and opportunities...while anokhi has to struggle for every bit, raja quit because he could not take the pressure. When anokhi scolds him, it does feel that he looks guilty. The pressure the society puts on men! Sigh!! To be the sole dream on someone because you are a man!

Another theme constantly through the show...how parents treat kids like something they own. You don't own your kids. Nope. For Bhalla senior daughters were something that he owned in debt and would bring them loss while son had a high price?!?!? And sabs toh we know, Shaurya was a retirement plan. Now when I think of it, it's disgusting to treat a grown adult child like this.

Loved how nikki fearlessly said that she will fly someday. It was beautifully done.

Bebo-kitty... please someone smack some sense into them, they are college going adults and treat their own SIL like crap because she is from a smaller house? Loved that kanchan did not let it affect he much. Loved that Shaurya can see through bs. Thank God for that!

Highlight for me was that Shaurya as a man "dealt" with the situation so kanchan does not need to do more. You can see the sabs influence! But for a ML, he sure is smart!

With each passing day Mr Bhalla seems to become the worser himself. Treating your own children in two completely different (opposite)ways is something a parent can and should never do. Anokhis achievements are received with anger, resentment and physical abuse whereas a sons mere arrival is greeted with lots of sweets and love. How would any child in that situation feel? Good to see that Anokhi pointed this out. We can see that Anokhis love for her brother is intact inspite of this as it is her father’s fault to discriminate between children and not her brother’s. A sweet bother sister moment when he gifts her a watch. From the very beginning we get to see that Anokhi always supports the truth and is alarmed to know that her brother is going to squash all papa jis dreams and doesn’t support him from hiding the truth.

Whatever the situation Anokhis spirit to achieve her dreams never dampen and Astha is shown to play a major role along with Mr Bhallas treatment of girls which made her even more determined and stubborn( in a good way).

Agree with you. Sometimes boys are forced to do engineering even when they are not interested because many parents consider that as the best career choice for their son. I was reminded of 3 idiots movie. But of course I have no sympathy for Raja for what he did. Anokhi is not allowed to study even when she has a scholarship and Raja is forced to study by taking a loan .And I was also surprised to see the bonding between the brother and sisters.

Shaurya gave it back to the twins for taunting Kanchan about her relationship with Yash. So he does know that they lie and taunt others whom they consider below their status. These two never received any punishment for what they did and were always excused. Shaurya and Kanchan's relationship looked very formal in this episode. So Shaurya slowly started considering Kanchan as his friend and started confiding in her and taking her advice.

You know, I wish raja had not turned negative. The struggle of a man who does not want to be **the son** and the daughter who does not want to be bhoj would have been so interesting

Yes, one thing I will always remember his character for. He is severely flawed but not dumb.

I am in red

The tag team of Aastha and Anokhi are a treat to watch. They would have really redefined saas-bahu and reformed the Sabherwal house!!😭

The way Raja Bhalla’s arrival was celebrated…..with sweets and paratha and chicken and an overall shower of love and care. No matter how upper class or middle class these families are, the sons continue to be princes and girls continue to be “paraya dhan”. We know this is wrong, yet we continue to perpetuate.

Did anyone else notice how similar Shaan and Aastha’s wedding picture looked to Shaurya and Anokhi? The pink for the bride and the gold for the groom! ShaKhi was the redo that Shastha needed!

Shaurya and Kanchan really evolved to be a real brother/sister tag team! Shaurya was so curt and rude with Kanchan and to think she still became his love guru! Bebo and Kitty kept their catty and jhooti nature until the end….no character growth at all!

Precap: Monty and Anokhi ka rishta!

The saas-bahu team of Aastha and Anokhi along with the team of Gayathri and Kanchan would surely make huge changes in the Sabherwal house. Hope we get to see all this in S2.

Though it was sad to see the partiality shown to Raja I really liked the bonding they showed between the brother and sisters. Wish Raja was a positive character and was more of an understanding brother to Anokhi.

I didn't notice the similarity in their wedding outfits but I was reminded of Shaurya on seeing Shaan hugging/holding Aastha in the flashbacks.

With time Shaurya and Kanchan became a real brother - sister team. She played a major role in Shaurya recognizing his feelings for Anokhi. But we never saw Kanchan discuss any of her personal problems or about Yash with Shaurya.

Bold italic.. I mentioned in my post how bad it is as a parent to discriminate against his very own blood/ children. Ones mere arrival brings in joy and celebrations in different forms whereas the others achievements receive resentment and abuse.

Underline… they would’ve made a great team together to reform the Sabhs had they been given a chance. If not for the axing we would’ve got a chance to see this. Gayatri and kanchan just needed a push to liberate themselves which would’ve happened eventually.
