I loved your post but I'm a little bummed that they just keep going around in circles. i love the gradual progression, the slow burn- but this back n forth is getting repetitive. Especially virat's inability to just say out what he feels in this vulnerable state is surprising. He is making such an effort to hold back . Sai is still a child, immature, stubborn. But Virat- he has already recognized that the problem is their communication. He even said it himself ki- if i had confessed things wouldn't be this way. He laments to sunny that he didnt confess but then his ultimate conclusion is the opposite of what he was acknowledging - I'm gonna shut up and wait! Atleast he should have said that I've hurt her too much for this to be the correct time to confess, she may not believe me , but I will tell her soon. But virats words ultimately boiled down to being- I'll keep doing my thing and wait for Sai to figure it out on her own. She will need to read my eyes and unsaid emotions! That all sounds good only in stories. In real life one cant read minds/eyes/unsaid things, we need words! especially when their relationship is so different....they didnt state of as spouses in the real sense. So eventually when they have lived together for 5-10 years they can understand each others silences but now they really cant. So this whole aankhein padhna, ankahi baatein sun paana is all hogwash. Sometimes it may work. But overall in their relationship at this nascent stage, they need to talk, not brush things away!
Sai is waiting for him to say what he has decided to not say! She is waiting to hear him confirm that everything hes doing is not out of righteousness/zimmedari/guardian farz but out of LOVE! She asks him repeatedly and he keeps giving jalebis. Uff. 🙈
@bold: I completely agree with you that it is frustrating that they keep going in circles. But, I didn't see Virat failing to confess in the same way as you did. I don't think that he was trying to shift the responsibility of figuring out his emotions onto Sai. He knows how deeply he has hurt Sai, and at this point, he's not even sure if she will return home with him. I honestly think that yesterday, the easier thing for him, selfishly to do, would have been to confess. His own emotions are eating him up at this point. But, he decided not to, because he knows that he needs to be redeemed in Sai's eyes first. He needs to prove to her that he is a good husband above all else, because unless he can do that, Sai won't accept his love. He was also so scared of losing her already, that he did not want to drop this "bomb" on her and increase the risk of her going to Pulkit's. His main concern as of now is to make sure that she comes home with him so that he can make everything right. But, the irony of this entire situation is that what he wants Sai to see...she is already seeing. That is the reason she keeps asking him these questions in the first place, because she knows that she is more than a zimidari to him...she can sense it...but she needs to hear it in order to be able to convince herself. Even yesterday when she asked herself if Virat acted out of jealously or choti soch, she already knew the answer...why else had she clearly already forgiven him? 🤣
These two are seriously fools... 😆
Despite all of these jalebis, I really do think that both of them have made significant progress during this track, and perhaps we will see more movement in their conversation once they get back home. Even if it's unknowingly, Sai is starting to accept that this is real. She is no longer countering him when he is saying how badly he wants to stay with her forever or how he wants this relationship to be like that of other husband and wives. And, he is also starting to express her own emotions to him, which is going to show him that she too feels the same way. By the time the confession comes, both of them won't even have to confess to each other, because they will already be so sure of each other's feelings. The problem is just that both of them need verbal affirmation due to their insecurities and godforsaken vaada, but neither one of is able to give that to the other...
