Let’s assume for once Virat is a loser , abuser and all that but will that change the fact that Pulkit is a hypocrite and failed his biological under age daughter? When such person says dialogues like he would have killed the man if it was his daughter will raise questions like why didn’t he do that when his daughter was sent to orphanage and why is he falling at the feet of his criminals who abused his daughter and wife

I understand what you mean.

But Virat has realized his mistake and over years will grow, will you still consider him hypocrite if he takes steps to improve himself and later questions someone else when they do that mistake?

It depends on how Virat talks to SIL . If he says if Virat was in SIL place , he would have never done this then Virat will be questioned but if Virat says I have made this mistakes so I know the consequences so as a FIL I will not let my daughter to go through then we cannot question Virat .

There is a saying practice before your preach . Pulkit has failed as a father so him mouthing things like he wouldn’t spare anyone who harms his daughter dilutes the message . It’s like a thief saying I would never steal if I was in your position . More than a father figure to Sai he came across self boasting individual forgetting about his shortcomings.

Like I said in my initial post , it’s easy for Pulkit to be unbiased righteous in this situation as he is not really involved and his emotions haven’t overpowered his thinking. If he had behaved rationally when it involved his wife and kid then him saying such dialogues would have some meaning .

I disagree that he came across as a self boasting individual. I normally don't connect with his character at all, partly due to the actor who plays him. But, yesterday, I could sense the concern he has for Sai. Like I said in my initial response to you, I agree that Pulkit is a hypocrite. But, I also think that yesterday, he saw someone who he considers to be his younger sister, maybe even daughter, on the verge of death due to an accident that was caused during a fight that resulted out of Virat accusing her of being characterless. Leaving side all of Pulkit's shortcomings, he was overcome by emotions... concern for Sai's life, and disgust at what Virat had said and done. So, he was speaking out of his emotions, not out of his rationality. I was glad to see him standing up for Sai. But, as I have already said, all of this is probably going to go out the window in the next episode, because Virat will end up meeting Sai and taking her home with him. Pulkit, at the end of the day, has no backbone... and in this case, he has no right to make decisions about Virat and Sai's marriage for them.

All in all, I completely understand where you are coming from, and I also agree with many of your points... but Virat had this coming, and I can understand where Pulkit was coming from too...

The idea here was that someone should rebuke Virat.. but who?? Pulkit would have seemed to be a better candidate, being a doctor and a father n all..I am glad they showed Pulkit, release all the pent up rage and speak from a father’s perspective.. but his character is the most wobbly one, when it comes to taking a stand for others… given that he could not take a stand for himself or his wife.

The writing here is so poor.. who else can reproach Virat?

Pakhi a person with non existential self respect, and a broken moral compass. She is the genesis of this whole kaand.

Kaku, Omi & Sonali - bunch of sadists and narcissists.

Mohit - Well, his conscience and voice works only when it comes to Sai.

Shivani - No body listens to her, I also find her character lacking depth.

Manasi bua - poor thing her mute button just got released.. and she is still sad, missing her only son.

Ashwini - Epitome of Stockholm syndrome.. never proactive in discussing issues with her son and DIL.. only reactive. If she had spoken to both her son and DIL after the confrontation scene, like any ideal mother and resolved their issue… things wouldn’t have come this far.

Ninad - A criminal and a misogynist who doesn’t value his own marriage.

Every character is utterly flawed. When you give a thorough look, you can see that nobody can question Virat. That’s the way the writer has chosen to portray all her characters. People have flaws in real life too.. but here people are either downright evil or so helpless that only an 18yr old can aid them.

So sorry for the rant..

I agree about how none in CN can question Virat .I think Sunny would be the best candidate to talk to Virat because he knows Virat’s insecurities and he was the one who asked Virat to give importance to Sai’s action so he is aware that Sai has feelings for him and she wouldn’t get involved with other men . IMO he was the best person to talk to Virat and they could have made Pulkit say he will take her responsibility instead of him saying he would have killed and all .

Another reason why I wanted Sunny was at this stage when Virat has realized his mistakes , we don’t need people to taunt him and remind him that he was responsible. He already knows that . We need someone to show him the mirror and help him understand why he behaved so and address the “core” issue . Many might feel Virat deserves it as it makes them feel good to see him getting called out but did Pulkit and Mohit’s dialogues make any difference to the story? CN gang will not have change of heart and Virat already knows he was wrong .

Yes, Sunny would be an ideal choice, I too thought of him…but who would inform the poor fellow?? The whole Devi Tai marriage incident and the ousting was never revealed to him..

Though, I wish he gets to know this situation somehow and speaks to Virat.. He has been neutral and a BFF with Virat since childhood ergo knows him too well.

@Bold - Exactly, he understands that they have feelings for each other he can give a friendly bash and point out how stupid Virat acted, and how futile it was to even feel jealous of a teenager, who is nothing in comparison.

Anyway the show is full of bloopers so they could have brought him somehow but unfortunately KD writers didn’t think of this possibility so obviously ghum writers are paid to copy not to use their brains .

@Bold That’s still needed . I want this to be addressed not show magically everything became fine . Only Sunny or Aai knows SaiRat’s history . I have less expectations from Aai but Sunny is needed .
