It was never said clearly .. but I believe he definitely meant that virat should marry his daughter Sai .. there is no other way in Indian scenario for any man who is not a blood relative to take guardian ship of a young girl ..

if they had not married Sai would have been tarred in a different brush with just virat coming to meet her in hostel ..

and also with jagtap still alive abd his family free .. there was another big danger for Sai .. he was about to die .. had the guy feel he would not live so he did it in the best way possible by handing over his daughter to his student .. who he trusted could protect her .. he felt he could demand this .. because he had sacrificed his life to save virat’s ..

We can't deny this actually.

Cuz, responsibilty given of a girl, that too a young one by a man, I guess Kamal sir is not that blinded by ...lets say anything at one point that he didn't realise that questions may rise on Virat and Sai equally due to this in future. Cuz, he definitely knew that Virat is very loyal when keeping with promises, so he definitely knew Virat won't back off. So, he did expect Virat to be a soul support for Sai throughout her life, a place where he(virat) becomes someone to sought after by Sai. Maybe he did expect them to be together, if not this early, maybe at some point in future along this path.

Apparently yes. Because Kamal Joshi is well aware of that a young man can not take responsibility of another young girl without being married to her. The society won't allow. So cliche.I remember when villagers asked Virat to marry Sai he clearly denied and offered them to take her along to his house 😆.But the villagers refused.

Kamal Joshi is a man of few words. He sacrificed his life as a true leader and as a mentor. Also it was his fault taking that drastic step even when Virat asked him not to move. So Kamal Joshi took full responsibility of his action with brave heart. He gave up his life NOT because he saw a perspective groom in Virat but he felt this young fellow can serve more to this nation than he could.

You know I was just thinking about this week during Sai's abba imagination scene. Abba is the one who tied SaiRat together forever. Yes, he did not directly ask Virat to marry Sai. But, he did tell Virat to take her zimidari. For a police officer, there is nothing greater that his duty. And within duty, there are an infinite amount of other emotions... like love, respect, support, dedication, trust, honesty...the list goes on. Abba knew the importance this word held for Virat, and therefore he also knew that SaiRat would never separate once united. He knew that Virat would never let Sai go. For me, marriage is just a label we attach to relationships that are often times way deeper than merely husband and wife. More than them getting married, I believe that abba knew that they would be each other's support systems and life partners....that is what made the scene last week so special.

Also, I think that abba, knowing both Sai and Virat so well, could see the bond that they shared from the very beginning. He saw that Sai was able to be herself around Virat in a way that she could only do with abba. He saw how deeply Virat cared for Sai from the very start. He saw the connection between them. I always say that Sai and Virat’s love story began the day they met each other, and maybe abba was able to see that too.

I replied in the other post that he didn’t mean it that way but could have hoped to. I always thought that if Kamal sir was alive, he would have proposed the marriage to virat given that he likes him. Age gap ant studies could have been a contentious though but I am sure Kamal sir and Usha moushi would have asked virat and virat would have said yes ☺️

I think KJ did NOT mean that marriage is the way to take zimmedari when he asked for the promise. But in that room as he was dying, out of everyone it was only Virat who he knew could see past Sai's outer facade, the brashness to see her for who she really is- someone that is sensitive and realize that she needs a solid support- someone who will stand with her to motivate her to fulfil her life's purpose and i dont know if he factored it in, but virat being a student of kj and a police waala has a lot of similarities in terms of qualities to KJ that makes Sai feel at ease around him. After her dad, he is the one she can be herself with. He probably saw that in their interactions. How despite pnly knowing each other for a few weeks they had the familiarity around each other. (Similarly virat too gets Sai who knows exactly what the life of a police officer entails)

and i think maybe KJ did see their chemistry/sparks, their energies meshing together even in their GC interactions. So kj knew that virat could understand Sai's thoughts, ambitions, goals.

So if virat hadnt married Sai also, he'd still done everything he did for her regardless n still developed feelings for her and eventually proposed to her for marriage. So marriage was just a label put on the relationship and Virat i think somewhere wanted it because he had the foresight (because he was less emotional than Sai who lost her father) to realize that it was the only way to constantly be in Sai's life and have the "right" to make decisions for/with her and constantly have Sai in his life with no questions asked by his family or anyone else. Whereas if he had not got married, he'd have no legal rights. So while the villagers were just forcing marriage because according to them a man n woman cant live together unless they are tied by some familial bond-spouse, sibling, parent etc. for Virat it was more a way to maintain a constancy in their relationship. By marrying her he has given his relationship a legal certificate that makes them each others #1 that cannot be questioned by anyone . Emotionally not much would be different between them- marriage or not. But i think having the married tag has accelerated their emotional attachment a bit because that tag gives you a feeling of haq.

Absolutely true! He never meant it directly, but this was the implication. A husband and wife relationship is about love, care, friendship, sharing responsibility, mutual understanding and life long companionship, when you are married to the right person. Kamal Sir knew this and he saw Virat as a person who could be a life companion to his precious daughter, who was about to be orphaned by misfortune. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have asked an unwed young man to take care of his daughter coz he was well aware of our societal norms and also the importance of companionship, since he himself lost his wife very early in life. Most importantly he trusted Virat, as a person who would do right by his daughter, protect her from the evil hands of Jagtap and Vittal and serve as her well wisher.

Kamal sir sensed Virat’s vigor, passion and his love towards his family during the training days. He also became aware of Virat’s caring nature during the safe house incident, Virat did care for her, though he might have called it his duty. Kamal Sir was also happy when Virat made the call to know Sai’s well being and even brought him his medication upon her request. He even knew that Virat understood Sai’s stubbornness and Sai listened to Virat. He was also well aware of Virat’s commitment to uphold his promises.

actually the safe house incident was a time when Kamal Sir felt that virat can take care of his girl abd she will listen to him ..

In ITV or movies makers show relationship as they want it to be and guardianship/responsibility is one of them. Virat could have taken Sai with him as his elder brother too (like Pulkit and Madhuri relationship). But again, had this happened, there wouldn’t have been GHKKPM story (hence everyone thought KJ wanted Virat to marry Sai).

Same goes for Pakhi, if she was the main lead they would have played sad background scores and after so many “ring around the roses for 3-4 years” Virat would have married Pakhi as if they were meant to be together 🤣🤣 ( e.g. tons of EK shows).

In reality, there is nothing like a young working man can take the responsibility of a young girl by only marrying her. Ladki pasand ho to alag baat h. 😜🤣
