Read few of your posts yesterday, Pooja. Wanted to reply....so replying here.
It is interesting you pointed out the symbolism of Virat shielding Sai from his family. I've alway felt that Virat is slowly registering his family's faults to a certain extent since Sai's ousting. Acting on the information - he still has lot of room for improvement and consistency. Since the past few episodes, he has been shown to be a little more assertive. I hope he continues to improve true to the spirit of the symbolism shown. But if he gets manipulated/influenced by his elders during the upcoming insecurity track, I won't be surprised. Perhaps, he will fall low and rise up be even more determined to protect his wife. Let us see what happens....
His dialogue to Pakhi yesterday was telling - that no one understands the hate Pakhi carries for Sai better than him. He has been observing it and keeping it all in trying to maintain a civil relationship with her - but after the physical show of hate, he lost it all. If he gets manipulated by Pakhi in the upcoming kaand, I would not know how to make sense of it.
Thanks for responding, Netra! There were so many posts floating around yesterday with such interesting viewpoints. I loved reading all of your's and also responded on some 😊
I agree with you regarding Virat and inconsistency. I think that arises because no matter how much he likes to believe that he is well thought out with his words and actions, the truth is that he is just as impulsive as Sai in this regard. He does and says things in the heat of the moment, overcome with emotions....and when it comes to Sai, he always almost immediately regrets it as we have seen time and time again. But, I really do think that something has changed in him post-Harini's birthday fight. It seems as though every single day he falls deeper and deeper in love with her. He is not willing to tolerate anyone saying anything against her. But, again, when you love someone that much, the fear of losing them is also heightened, and couple that up with his insecurities regarding age, Sai not having verbally expressed herself (even though neither has he and he knows that she is falling in love....but words matter), and impulsive personality... he is bound to say some things to Sai that he does not mean in the upcoming track.
I really hope that the symbolism holds true, and that regardless of what their fight is about and how it plays out, he is not influenced by his family members. Because, irrespective of his impulsive nature, that part will just not make sense at this point. The scene yesterday was just so incredibly powerful. It honestly gave me the chills, because it was so subtle yet strong in representing how Virat feels about Sai and how he will protect her at all costs from his family.
As you have said, him getting influenced by Pakhi will make the least sense of all time. In addition to the dialogue you have pointed out from yesterday, he told her yesterday that her karmas are catching up to her and that him saying something bitter to her is nothing compared to what she says. His expressions also said it all. He is completely over her antics, her hatred for Sai, and just about everything else about her.
Let's see how the makers choose to handle this upcoming track. We all know a kaand is going to happen, but the most we can hope for is that Virat's character is not butchered in the process.
