Depends on the prejudices people have.

For me its C gang- They are evil, vile, criminals and almost committed an honor crime. They are rightfully hated but they are the Villians of the story. So their actions will be dealt with through the perspective of how Villians in general behave

Pakhi- She is delusional and obsessed. She is criticized rightly too

I often see people saying Virat is the most criticized. They fail to understand that nobody wants to bash the ML of the show they watch. Virat is a problematic character. I loved him in the initial days. But as and when the show progressed he stooped so low. Domestic violence was the lowest point for him,. They didn't redeem him well. Even after that up until now, he hasn't taken a stern stand against the abuse Sai faces at C gang. After 200 episodes if a supposedly good Ml behaves this way he will be criticized. If Virat is criticized more that's because his actions are so. Villians doing crime is different, you expect only evilness from them. But an ML doing it will receive backlash because actions expected out of him are positive.

There's a difference between constructive criticism, bashing, and hating. People, when they say Viart is hated the most, fail to understand this I believe. Most of the time what I have seen here is criticism for his actions. Look at his ckt graph. He was introduced as a man of ideals and principles. The same person committed domestic violence, behaved inhumanely to his wife, wife, let go of criminals, and numerous other things too. Mostly ML's character graph improves as time passes, Virat's went to the negative here. Despite if you look at the posts of many here (inc mine) they have supported and tried to understand Virat giving reasons for his toxic, patriarchal upbringing. His sweet, caring gestures are also appreciated here. I can guve many egs on numerous posts.

But I have seen Sai despite being an outright positive character nitpicked on as if some payback for Virat's criticism. One going through posts of last 2 weeks alone can see how much criticism Sai received. Strange how still the narrative of Virat only gets hated remains.

I disagree that Virat gets criticized or bashed because he is the one who is more flawed among everyone . The sad part is every character is judged based on their rapport with Sai .If they are good to Sai then whatever they do is forgiven . Best example is Mohit . He is a terrible husband to Karishma but he is not criticized because he is nice to Sai . Same happens with Virat as well . As long he is caring and understanding he is good but if he tries to point Sai’s mistake or tried to point her shortcomings people try to cover up by nitpicking on him .

When people talk about Virat , they always bring ousting drama and I agree with it but when it comes to Sai people don’t even want to acknowledge the mistakes committed by her , criticizing is far away . I can list few where Sai was wrong and people will defend her . How many times has Sai pointed fingers at Virat’s character yet she is not criticized. Isn’t that character assassination . She has used his past to hurt him during confrontation.She has accused Virat of being a murderer, has been a brat in GC and has insulted Virat who was not her husband then multiple times in front of his subordinates. She doesn’t even bother to apologize and no one talks about her redemption but Virat’s mistakes are brought up at every stage despite him realizing and apologizing for it .

She has the tendency to force her opinions on others . Let’s take the recent example , she blackmailed the CN members by making fun of sensitive issue like death and sending fake police is a crime . Has she been called out for that ?

The fact is people will go to any lengths to defend their favorite and there are other set of people who only believe in triggering people by bashing characters .

She will be brought into any discussion where Virat is criticised because thats the only way to cover up. But why😙? The topic at hand is different? Proof is above. Any criticism of Virat is met by bringing Sai into it. People fail to understand that Sai hasn’t done even 1/4th of what Virat has done, so that argument will never hold place.

Sai was criticised by everyone unanimously for her prank but as you said prejudices makes one overlook.
