It's true that Sonam is not a very spectacular actress. I believe she can still act to save her life but her dialogue delivery is awful. But I don't think that's the reason enough. If actors survived just on the basis of acting then Katrina Kaif and Varun Dhawan wouldn't have survived.

Unlike Katrina, she refused to do roles like Dhoom 3 where she will have a screen presence of few minutes and star in 100 crores blockbusters. I have to give it to her that every film she did, her role added to the story. Yes I agree that she is not a very good actress but people are just too harsh on her when compared to other non-actors. They refused to even give the movie a chance if it stars Sonam.
