A question in regards to re-gifting gifts

After the pendant scenario, i wanted to ask will Sai give every gift Virat gets her to family members if they express a desire of wanting it?

Bhavini only wanted one because Sai got one off off Virat not because she wanted one previously. So if Virat gets her a Diamond ring and Bhavini or Sonali say Ive always wanted one like that: will she give the diamond ring to one of them without thinking of Virats feelings on the matter? I hope they dont show Sai that naive as the only reason family member express a desire of wanting it, is because Virat gave her the gift not a previous desire to have one.

I could be in a minority yet Sai was insensitive in regards to the pendant and especially when Virat told her, he felt bad for what she did. She didnt even apologise for that and in turn got defensive when she was questioned. She has to learn to put her husband first who loves her rather than a family who cant wait for her to leave the house and their lives forever.

Don't underestimate her or challenge her she can do it as nothing is impossible 4 her .

I want to see her reaction if virat give away her gifted bamboo tree to some else.

You are not the only one many didn't like it. I also didn't like it. Neither could she explain to him that she regifted it to avoid another drama nor could she apologize to him when he clearly told her that he was hurt. That's why I would love to see Sai gifting him something, maybe on his birthday, and he regifting it to Mohit. She will understand how it feels when you genuinely gifted something and the other person doesn't value it.

Nah you def not in minority. Both were at fault in todays episode and both did somewhere not understand the others' feelings. Sai was extremely inconsiderate of his feelings regarding the pendant. Like Aai said usse rishton ki samaj nahi hai. I did expect her to understand him a bit when he told her that he was hurt but no 😂

You are right. Most of us are so unhappy. When Virat said clearly he is hurt but all sai did defended her actions rather saying sorry. On the side when Sai told about her misery all he said try to adjust or all bahus faces the same situation 🤢

Virat would listen calmly if Sai weren't talking to Ajinkya. It was seen in the past how toxic he becomes even with the thought of Sai with another man.

A gift is never re-gifted to someone else....

A gift comes with love, feelings and deep affection.

So if one's wants to give something to someone why not buy something.

Why in this show this re-gifting is going on I don't understand.

It is always Sai re-gifting something to someone and to add to it she has a prepared answer all ready to give...when something is not right means it is not and that goes to anyone.

Yes she should've apologized but because he started off with the ajinkya thing she was already annoyed and not in the frame of mind to understand. I wish the ajinkya phone call had happened after Virat told Sai he was upset about her giving pendant and Sai had understood his feelings and apologized and then they could have had her explain her reasons and squabble about ajinkya when his phone call interrupted their conversation.

But here is Sai's pov- right now she doesn't know Virat loves her. For her, it was just a nice/thoughtful gesture but it wasnt perveived as a gift from "man to wife" by her. So she didnt feel as "attached" to it as Virat did. She did appreciate his thoughtfulness, his gesture immensely though as evidenced by her reaction on getting the gift. In her eyes by giving it to bk and ending the drama, she was showing her maturity and was trying to show her apnapan towards Virats family. Sai right now is in the frame of mind where she is craving acceptance from the family because they are important to Virat. She thinks that if things are better in CN, Virat will also be pleased with her. In future hopefully when she does have realization of love, her priority will hopefully change to Virat first and she will better understand the husband-wife dynamics. Right now she thinks family has first haq on Virat and more haq than she does. She thinks she is just a responsibility on him that hes nice and considerate enough to fulfil because hes a righteous and good man who regarded her father very highly and promised her dying father to take care of her. She knows she is safe with him, feels an attachment with him, and can trust him like a guardian to take care of her and support her, in return she is grateful and also wants to do everything to take care of him and his family too but she has trouble nabigating the waters of their atypical relationship. She has not even entertained the idea of loving each other.

In RL I would never recommend regifting your husband’s gift whether you like it or not but I think the build up shown in this case made it appropriate for Sai to give the pendant to Kaku.

Wasn’t it the same morning that she was blasted for the sari gift where she broke down into tears? She is trying hard to fit in to the family and didn’t want to rock the boat. She knew this would happen as soon as she wore the pendant in their room. She even told Virat that she was treated like an outsider. That must have been hard for her since she was always uninterested in getting their approval till recently.

The makers intelligently showed that Virat was unaware of all the drama that led to Sai’s regifting with his “important” phone calls.

The run around between them is frustrating but is required to keep the drama going

In real life, people regift things all the time unless there is some sentimental value attached to it. A gift reminds us of the person and/or the occasion when it was given to us. And If there is a sentimental attachment to it, the price of the gift doesn't matter. So for Sai, the pen with her name on it had much more sentimental value because it was given as something to start her new journey of her medical career with. But this ruby pendant was not perceived by her in that way. For Virat it was hus first gift after he realized his love for Sai, but Sai does not know that. Does NOT mean Sai is right. Once Virat told her that he was hurt she should've apologized. But unfortunately the conversation was set up in such a way that Sai was already upset with Virat so when he brought up his genuine hurt she didn't give it its due weightage just like Virat didn't give due weightage to her pain of being treated so poorly by his family. He feels sympathetic but he wants her to change rather than his family.

Still not agreeing with Sai's behavior but this is also the person who was willing to give away jewelry that her Aaba gave her to Devi Tai. Did she not love her father or care for his sentiments? Virat knows she has a heart of gold but was hurt with her disregard for his gift. He needs to listen to her reasoning, she did tell him three reasons that made her give the pendant to Kaku.

They are both hot headed and lose common sense when they are mad.
