Sun Zaalima Mere Sanu Koi Dar Na
Ki samjhega zamana
Oh tu vi si kamli
Main vi sa kamla
Ishqe da rog seyana
Ishqe da rog seyana
A slight breeze was coming in from the open balcony door, making the temperature of the previously warm room quite chilly. The tastefully decorated room was a far cry from what it used to be a few years ago.
Sun mere humsafar
Kya tujhe itni si bhi khabar
Or for the lack of better words, nothing. Literally nothing was there a few years ago on this floor. It used to be the terrace of a one story house with two bedrooms, a huge veranda with a well in one corner of it, a store room and other regular places. The veranda used to the place where 3 brothers of this family used to sleep. But something happened a few years ago. Because of which the whole map of this house changed.
Sun mere humsafar
Kya tujhe itni si bhi khabar
Ki teri saanse chalti jidhar
Rahunga bas wahi umrr bhar
Rahunga bas wahi umrr bhar haaye
The sitting area of the room was decorated with imported teak furniture designed in a ancient royal style. Oh, this is not the normal regular sitting area. It is located on the 2nd floor of the house. One must be wondering why does the 2nd floor of a house need a sitting room. Well, the house doesn't but the occupants of this floor do. The sofa so big and intimidating looking. What? Like really, a sofa looking intimidating. Yes, it does. It looked as though it will throw or swallow anyone who dared to sit on it without being worthy. We all know that will never be an issue as few are allowed to this part of the house. Various lamps and decorative table were placed around the room.
Jitni haseen ye mulakatein hai
Unse bhi pyari teri baatein hai
Baaton mein teri jo kho jaate hai
One side of the large sitting room has been converted into a kitchen. Well, a makeshift kitchen is what Mr. Boothnath says but to let you guys in on a secret, this makeshift kitchen is no less than the kitchen of a masterchef. But that is to be expected I guess when you are not one who will not relent in anyway until it's going to be your way.
Aaun na hosh mein main kabhi
Baahon mein hai teri zindagi haaye
The balcony of the sitting room faced the driveway of the house. That door is open almost all around the year and only closes when that Gadhera is out of the town or it's night time. And the door is closed right now as it is night time. And the same one hadn't been opened even once in the pat 10 days.
Sun mere humsafar
Kya tujhe itni si bhi khabar
The doors in the sitting room leading to a study and a library were also both closed. Sadly, as was the door to bedroom closed.
Zaalima tere ishq ch main
Ho gayi aan kamli haye
But, earlier there used to a mellowed out vibe house but now it looked like that of super luxurious but still a cozy home. Various tid-bits make it look like a home. Like various photos of the family members on the wall along with various folk paintings. The handmade cashmere afghan draped over over the back of the loveseat. Various decorative pieces from all over the world.
A light could be seeing shining in the darkness, through the slightly ajar door which was opposite to the the kitchen station and lateral to the bedroom. Although a deem light was on, no activity was seen.
One-and-a-half hour passed this way.
Footsteps could be heard in the corridor coming towards the double door leading to the suite of rooms. As soon as the the hand of that person touched the door handle, a shrill cry loud enough to wake the dead could be heard from the several well placed monitors.
Main toh yoon khada kis
Soch mein pada tha
Kaise jee raha tha main deewana
The person threw the door open and rushed towards the slightly ajar door. At the same time a figure threw the bedroom door open and almost flew towards the agar door. The shrill cry that was coming just a second earlier went to a still. It was as though the cry was a forewarning that your other half has arrived.
Chupke se aake tune
Dil mein sama ke tune
Chhed diya kaisa ye fasana
Standing in front of each other looking dumbfounded were Mrs. & Mr. Shiva Pandya. Shiva's eyes softened as he smiled looking at his wife of 5 years, well 5 years 7 months 2 weeks and 1 day to be exact. And one whom he hadn't looked at since 1 week 3 days 10 hrs 12 mins 36 seconds to me exact.
Oh muskurana bhi tujhi se sikha hai
Dil lagane ka tu hi tareeka hai
Aitbaar bhi tujhi se hota hai
The lovely Mrs. Pandya had an ashen look on her face as though she had seen a ghost. But after looking at each other for about 2 seconds both moved towards that door from where the actual sound was coming which was amplified all over the place through speakers.
Aaun na hosh mein main kabhi
Bahon mein hai teri zindagi haaye
Inside the room, lying on a cot, the most beautiful girl in the whole of the Pandya family was asleep on her stomach with her bottom pushed up in the air. She was the only person in the whole universe who had the capacity to melt Chattan Pandya. A feet had even his wheelchair bound mother, more-of-a-mother-than-a-sister-in-law Dhara and even his lover and wife had not been able to achieve.
Hai nahi tha pata
Ke tujhe maan lunga khuda
Ki teri galliyon mein iss kadar
Aaunga har paher
There laying down in her out-of-world design in purple colour baby cot was Shivi Shiva Pandya. A girl only 11 months old but the light of her father's eyes and the joy of her mother's life.
Sun mere humsafar
Kya tujhe itni si bhi khabar
Ki teri saanse chalti jidhar
Rahunga bas wahi umrr bhar
Rahunga bas wahi umrr bhar haaye
She seemed restless in her sleep, her mouth doing sucking action as though she is her. Her mother went and sat on the rocking chair near the window while her father picked her up, kissed her small forehead and took the baby to the mother.
Raavi took her baby girl and pulled her strap of her singlet down as she had already discarded her wrap before sitting and started feeding her baby.
While Raavi was busy settling down to feed, Shiva went and got his stuff that he threw down in anxiety to rush inside when he heard the cry and locked down the suite.
He loosened his tie and took of his jacket and put it on the coffee table in front of sofa along with his laptop case. He again went inside the nursery and walked into the rocking chair where Raavi was humming while feeding the baby.
Grabbing her hair in his hand and pulling her head up he sought her lips. Raavi moaned lightly and relaxed. He pulled back and pecked her head and settled down on the arm of the rocking chair. While Raavi took a deep breath and relaxed against him and finally smiled genuinely after 10 days.
Her love was back and she felt like she is at home again in his embrace. Both smiled at each other and then concentrated on their bundle of joy.
