this is called Raja beta syndrome, very much prevalent in India
I think it's not just a Muslim thing, and more like what you can afford and get away with, given the chance. For most middle class families, orthodox life style is the norm, and guys usually get more perks in certain things because of the society.
Not necessarily. I have seen super rich people who are so orthodox ke ghoonghat main bahu hoti hai. đ
Many middle class people too can be very open minded. I have generally seen Punjabis are open minded, especially Khatris . I think itâs more cultural or even caste based than the amount of money you haveâŚ
Not by choice though. Iâm too lazy to go anywhere đ

Punjabis are not really that open minded. Ask me, Punjabi here
Iâm a punjabi too. I know the ones who orthodox woh bahu se saara time roti hi banwate rehte hain. đ

Yeah that's true, maybe it's got more to do with the community and whether people are willing to welcome opposing views or not. I've also seen that in some rich families--their wealth in fact makes it harder for them to accept that some of their beliefs could be problematicđ
Waise my family is not at all conservative..
