Maybe he would have handled her differently in the privacy of their lives bedroom. I wish he had heard Papi's nonsense. He behaved how he usually does. No shouting. He was calm as usual, but conveyed what he wanted. He stopped Kaku from shouting at Sai and stopped her from leaving. And, the reason he gave was simple and straight that he was her husband. That's it. And,once again very soft. Neil was awesome today. Hope to see more such scenes in future.

Thank you. I am also waiting to watch more such scenes. Both of them are a treat to watch.

My point is not about Virat not supporting Sai today.. Certainly it was between Patralekha and Sai today.. No denying that ..For that matter even the other day it was mostly between them.. But coming to today's expressions..I did not see any disgust and disagreement or for that matter any reaction to Patralekha calling out Sai double faced and wanting to filr a case against her.. He was purely flat. I did not expect him to even say a word. Here I am just talking about his expressions..Because its those minute expressions, that has always stood out.. I remember we praising him during the Shivratri confrontation between Sai and Kaku, where Sai said why people here have issues with a moment between husband and wife and why is it a problem if wife accompanies husband... He brought out an expression of disgust during the first dialogue and of approval in the second.. That was him rising above the script that hardly gives him dialogues that does not write his character well. I am not sure if I am able to convey on what I am trying to say.. Its not even about what Virat should have stood for Sai today...certainly not.. Its about the expressions on verbal abuses hurled at Sai or to put it correctly the lack of it.. I am re-iterating , Neil has a tendency to rise above the script but recently he has not been doing it.

No i get it. I agree. He need not have said anything but his lack of reaction to what pp said definitely struck me. I dunno if its supposed to be that he tuned pp out entirely and was just "staring at" Sai....but i dont buy that. I think he needed to show some reaction to pp calling Sai as someone with double standards, not having parvaah, and for threatening to file a mental harassment case against her. And in his presence so much was said to Sai but he didnt show the hand to pp to shut her up, neither did he interrupt her, nor did he look upset. If he was preoccupied by Sai, they should have shown some monologue or shown him resolving to not let Sai go, or shown some unushed tears/some bechaini at the thought that Sai is leaving.

Exactly...this does not make sense.. He lets her insult Sai to her heart's content.. However thats the script.. Thats the writing and I am seeing this since the time the whole fans pointed out Patralekha harassing Virat.. They have toned down Virat's expression/disgust/disproval when it comes to PP insulting Sai. And when Virat shows no discomfort in what Sai is being accused for, he does not come across a man in love with the woman who is being questioned for her double standards, her concern for him. He was a better person when he was not in love with Sai and she was just his zimmeddaari..

I remember watching the show earlier ..during the marriage and after that, I would wonder if this man is so loving and tender towards her, stands for her respect when he considers her his zimmeddari only how wonderful he would turnout into when he is love with her.. And how disappointed I am.. Neil's expressions or lack of it is also is not working for me now as far as Virat is concerned.

Actually he was emotional and his eyes welled up....while Sai vs Pakhi was going on. If you watch closely, he had tears at the caruncle...and it flowed to his nose.

I felt today he was ok today. Maybe, could have been better. Yesterday at the hospital, when he completed Sai's sentence that she will leave soon....the emotion was well conveyed.

And I'm not sure why they've toned it down..He usually gives such apt reactions to the comments nonverbally atleast. But comments of pp are so unwarranted, hateful but his reactions are not matching up.

I didnt register his sadness n tears at all. He looked just blank. Maybe they should've shot is better, lingered on his reaction more. I was really looking forward to this scene of Virat stopping Sai from leaving. Its a landmark for them but for me it didn't quite make the impact I wanted it to.

I understood the mood behind the scene. I mentioned it in my post too. This was Virat plain and simple stating main tumhaara pati hoon. Thats the end of that. But that conviction, the power of that 1 simple statement and its consequences - that didn't come through.

I agree that the scene was less impactful than it could have been. It was rushed - and was diverted by Sai-Pakhi conversation which was useless. They should have kept the focus on SaiRat.

Even I fail to understand.. As viewers we have noticed and celebrated his expressions, when Virat does not stand where its needed... We have also hailed Neil for doing it , for bringing the nuances.. We have comforted each other because of those expressions.. on how he was effected and did not like it and was at the brink of losing it all.. By not doing it anymore, they are taking away that comfort .. that understanding and that trust we have had in not just Virat the man in love with Sai...but Virat who took his zimmedaari and vowed to take care of her self respect.. 😭
