I don't accept with most of this forum wasis supporting Suman, she's a mother who's been disabled for major part of her children's lives. Dhara has efficiently played the role of the kids mom but with seemingly no rights to educate her devars the way most Asian parents do, in a hard way. Just an episode prior to thrashing one, Dhara protected krish from gaumbi in a motherly instinct, which meant she hasn't laid a hand ever on them tho it might be too hard for her handling a disabled MIL, three kids, household chores and business, she must be a superwoman to be able to handle such huge responsibilities. It might seem not a huge sacrifice but no, it is as in this world people keep complaining about minor inconveniences and adjustments in their lives and I have seen husbands with wives like Rishitha supporting them in real lives then why can't Gombi support Dhara!! He should support her unconditionally.

Coming to suman, when Dhara was just 19 or maybe younger than that she literally got killed by Suman tho what Dhara ever did was shower everyone with only unconditional love even when she wasn't family. What did Dhara get by marrying into Pandyas, truckloads of work and taunts for the last ten years, including getting thrown sticks at herself several times, MIL's tough love.

I say, suman doesn't deserve a DIL like Dhara, in fact I want to let her handle her three kids and two new DIL's alone, letting Gombi and Dhara to live separately, it's high time they concentrate on themselves but Dhara ka "mere bache" raag rukta hi nahi...

#1 - I do not support Suman. She treats others just as badly.

#2 - Nobody said anything against Dhara until she beat Shiva and Krish like that. Agreed, she has right on them, she is a mother to them. If she can love them, she can punish them as well. But what makes us all mad is the fact that it wasn't just punishing Shiva and Krish that Dhara did! It clearly was her frustration regarding the problems between the family members. The pressure cooker promo, that explains it all.

Dhara was dealing with too much, she was frustrated because nothing seemed right and then Shiva and Krish did that not-so-funny prank, and the frustration in Dhara found an escape. The way she beat Shiva and Krish was bad, the reason behind it was wrong as well. Why hasn't Rishita been told to apologize for what she did? Why wasn't Dev beaten like that when he did all that drama on the wedding day?

Agreed she has done a lot for the family, and we all appreciate her efforts. But lately, she's turned into something else, and nobody is liking or able to accept this Dhara.

It's again quite human to explode at some point when so many things get piled up within oneself. I would be happy right now if Suman really sends off Dhara to her maayka and Gombi follows her just for a break.

But then again, it is quite sensible to apologize for such an outburst. She made Shiva and Krish apologize but what about Rishita and Dev, and even herself? She should have apologized to them or at least told them that she didn't really mean it, instead of doing what she did.

This has been dragged too far now.

Agree with everything but the ruthless beating . Also the hiding part was stretched which could've been avoided but yes knowing Suman's past behaviour I get where Dharas coming from .

Hitting with stick constantly for me was too much to watch . She has always had and will have all rights on all 3 but thrashing them the way she did was unbearable.

Also regarding not reacting with regards to Dev I believe she herself wasn't sure about getting Raavi married to Dev . Neither of them would've ever have been happy if they did . She was blinded by the safety of her children due to Janardhan .

Dharas character was written very nicely , just one blunder of hitting them had stirred a lot reaction everywhere .

As for Suman , the actress is lovely and does on point acting but yes she's unjust and mean . Unfortunately that's how a lot of people in our society are and it's a TV show showing us the harsh reality . Hope they show Suman and Dharas ( I know Dhara has never done anything wrong so hitting with a stick doesn't fit right) character improving.

Nobody is supporting suman.she is not an ideal character, but she is consistent.there has been a significant development in her character arc from pre leap times.she has her flaws, but in this track her reaction is justified. She is their mother and she has the right to question dhara about her behaviour with shiva and Krish. Not only did she beat them, she even threatened them that she will leave the house if they open their mouths.she kept her mother in law In the dark even when she asked her directly multiple times what is wrong.

I loved dhara's character in the show uptil now. A pure hearted lady who has nothing but love to give to her family.i had watched her dance with her devars during the anniversary, her scenes with shiva and Dev after they beat up janardan multiple times.i really enjoyed those scenes. she was smart, quirky and savage when needed. But now it is difficult to relate with this new dhara.they are not consistent with her characterisation.dhara reprimanded shiva when he slapped Krish in the smoking fiasco. She had said that ki pyar se bhi samjhaya jaa Sakta hai.she had stopped gombi from hitting his brothers multiple times, and suddenly the same woman beat the very people she loved to death black and blue . It's very unlikely her character.

I love grey characters personally, because no-one is perfect in reality. I can even relate to some extent with rishita. What pisses me off is inconsistent characterisation.

Suman is disgusting whenever she shows her power on her family. Lol I find it funny 😂

A woman who can’t do her own needs and is dependent on others keeps on insulting others.
shameless or heartless or arrogance or blindness - I don’t know what it’s called.

Suman and Gaumbi are the 2 characters I dislike the most in original version.

actually the original version Suman is not as bad as this version in my point of view.

recently we had a flashback scenes in Tamil. We have Suman tell her elder son to get married as she will take care of the household chores and his brothers.

I was like WTH!! You give birth to 4 sons (huge difference between 1st and 4th in Tamil (20 years or so) and you want a girl to come and take care of your kids.

She is too annoying. Like she calls Ristha’s baby by her late husband’s name even though Ristha’s doesn’t like and the family advised her not to do so..

Though I have some issues with her it’s only her backward mentality and thoughts not arrogance! This version Suman is plain arrogant! She is a brat just like Ristha, she is mannerless just like Ristha.

gaumbi is a sweet heart in this version unlike the original where that idiot who doesn’t have anything married a girl and asks her to not have her own children. It’s unforgivable!

Only character I like in Hindi compared to Tamil is Gaumbi. ❤️

When we see from Suman's pov she was old and she has some regressive thinking which most of the old people in our socity have. People like suman thinks like mother like daughter. so she took time to accept Dhara. there were instance suman took stand for dhara infront of rishita and mami. Suman's character was not acceptable one but she was a representation of our people with regressive thinking.

Coming to Dhara no one is questioning her love for her devar. All of them know she loves them.

The main problem is she knows what she is doing is wrong so only she threatend not to tell anything to suman. If what she did was correct she would be the first one to inform suman. The fear inside dhara itself a proof that what she did wrong and unacceptable

Exactly!!! This is all the CV's fault. To increase their TRPs, they wanted unnecessary drama and that is the only reason they butchered a lovely character such as Dhara. And for all those people who are simply bashing Dhara and loving Suman, please go watch the first episodes and you will realise how mean Suman was to Dhara. I understand the fact that she is from a time when things were pretty traditional but that doesn't give her the license to torture anybody.

Even in a state where she could barely move, she used to bodily harm Dhara. That was the amount of hate she had for Dhara. That too for something that Dhara never did. Her mother running away wasn't her fault in any way. But still she received a lot of negativity. I am not trying to justify Dhara's actions, just trying to show that Suman bhi koi dooth ki dhuli hui nahi hai.

Haath tho aapne bhi utayi thi Sasumaa. Aur uske liye koi poochne wali bhi nahi the.

Dhara needs to apologise to ShiSh. That is irrefutable. But what about all the things that Dhara had to go through? Y'all are saying that the decision to not have babies was Dhara's. Agreed. But please don't make it seem like it was an easy decision to take. Being 18, having an MIL who hates you having to take care of 3 kids without the experience of being a mother and then having to listen to the society going on and on about not having kids. All these things cannot be forgotten by one mistake.

What we all forget is our behaviour skills get attuned to what we see or what we ourselves bear, tho Dhara has loved everyone her whole life she was rebuked by the society and MIL who also abused her physically, which could sometime prop up in Dhara too, she has learnt tho unintentionally that scaring someone by harming them physically and mentally you can get them do things that you desire them to. She wasn't taught her behaviour, it was mostly self taught which will of course have defects.
