I’m a regular on forum, i’m up to date with most articles. I do contribute at times, but not always. However, lately i’ve been noticing members being too defensive about their favourite character to the extent that just by reading user name I can guess whether it would be pro sai or pro virat post.

I know Ghum serial is quite toxic in the sense that all character are flawed to greater extent. Some plots and storylines were problematic, and white washing acts and character are not morally and socially right! Its okay to love this serial, character and sairat as a couple. But I don’t think it is okay to be inspired by this series, and go overboard with defending characters and acts to the extent that you’re putting down real people on forum!

We are all aware of certain antics of real life couple especially the rock. I happened to read her interview yesterday and cannot help but feel angry at her. Its sad that we cannot enjoy this show fully due to antics of of some casts on SNS. This has definitely caused whole experience of watching and following this show not ideal. It is toxic as it takes away happiness and peace that we get from watching the show!

I guess i’m hoping to read some positive contents on forum. I’m not trying to offend anyone, I’m just voicing out my observation and concerns.

I hope experience of my future visits to forum would be more positive!

thank you everyone for your contributions, time and energy 😊

What I dislike is that when one makes a post on a particular character someone else will make another post to counter attack. Spoils the mood so I try my best to ignore those posts. That makes me less active in the forum. I hope one day people will see the show as SaiRat not only as Sai or Virat.

I decided to not analyze any character. They are all 'grey' as the cast members were advertizing from the beginning :)

I want to present the other side of the discussion

We all including me judge the post by the username and since we have spent so much time on this forum we know what each regular user's sentiments are and we have categorized them into certain categories . I am sure there is a term for it wherein the virtual world we are not anonymous but identify each other by our user names. Most of the times it happens that certain user who is labelled as pro x fan post will always be interpreted as supporting their favorite character even though they have a good point to support the argument. Anything the user says will be interpreted as putting the other character down to blindly support his or her favorite. That's why I feel biased and unbiased views are subjective and should be taken with a pinch of salt.

I agree it's not wise to put real people down for a reel character. It's mostly the people in the minority groups who are targeted because it's easy to bully them. These are some of the cons of SM.

Disclaimer: this was shared to share a different perspective and I have no intention of starting an argument.

I guess we all relate to characters differently, which is expected as its influenced by our experience, biases, values and expectations. I’m sure one can find faults in gods and might be able to understand and sympathise with who commits an evil act.

I guess its always helpful to understand that we all relate with character and circumstances differently, and have willingness to respond each other respectfully.

I used to follow only another itv krpkab and my whole experience was tainted by fan wars and I eventually stopped watching the show..

I can see similar trend happening with Ghum show as well!

Thank you for sharing your perspective. I agree that I might have been one of those individuals who would guess whether the post is going to be pro sai or pro virat. I guess its okay to be territorial or protective towards the character you like.

But I’ve definitely noticed that defending a character happenes with an expense of questioning and blaming other character and at times person expressing differing opinions. I was only saying that hopefully it’ll not continue in future.

I guess we are no better than ‘the rock’ if we cannot see faults in characters we admire

again no offence to anyone 😊

As with all social media, there is such a fine balance of being entertained and annoyed by the images shared by the cast. I have recently started posting on this forum after being inactive for years because I love good actors enacting a love story. I would love to be entertained by them on screen and analyze and discuss every frame of them on screen. I feel I can skip an image on IG if I don’t like it, I don’t have to be offended by it and create a post with my comments.

As with real life, you learn to avoid certain people and discussions when your opinions will cause friction because who needs more stress in their lives

My two cents...

One more thing that makes me stay away from certain topics is the "Get Sai a new guy" or "Reunite Virat with Pakhi". 🤢 These type of comments or topics create unnecessary fights and make people dislike the forum. 🤢

I give a damn about what people think about me. 🤣 Joh ukhad na hai ukhad but I will say what I want to. 🤣 Though it amazes me to see people think I dislike Virat when he is one of the characters I like the most along with Sai. And same when I criticize Sai I see feminism dragged. 🤣
