Like may be he felt he had is his family kallu everything and he retrospected I believe seeing death thrice in a go

He wanted to live a life after moksh came and he didn't have a belief that he can make it back to his family and have them ever

So once back he is over possessive and not willing to loose what he gained after a lot of pain

Loosing 5 years

I also said it before..

When he returned from mission he wanted to live his life fullest as he got his family back after so many problems...

He did that only because he neither had any clear facts from AnuYani about what was happening and the case got out of his hands.

He knew Kalyani would never see daylight if he didn't make her escape.

The trust he showed on her was not reciprocated.
