Just finished watching yesterday’s episode (Episode 24)

My views on it...

Zain clearly crossed the line, there’s no two ways about it...

But more importantly, his family completely missed the point!

The guy had so much pent-up within...wasn’t having a heart to heart conversation with him the most logical thing to do, in a complex situation like this??

This drama, as I have said earlier, is a success, since it communicates a very important message, especially with regards to human relationships...about how we take each other so easily for granted...

And, many a times, this is a selective phenomenon...which is where the problem lies...

Let me explain...

Neither Zain nor Zoya are selfish people

Zoya genuinely feels for Zain’s family, and Zain is obviously besotted by Zoya!

The entire crux of the problem lies in Zoya having taken Zain completely for granted, and Zain, his family...that’s the inherent nature of the dynamic between these equations.

The problem arises since not are just Zain and Zoya immature, Zain’s family (except for Dadi) are handling the entire situation very poorly....for whatever reason....could be either their inherent bias about Zain being largely self-centered (Zain may have also given them reason to believe the same)...or, could be their new-found love for Zoya, and once again their bias in her favour!

But clearly they know their son well enough to realise that he is essentially a loving chap, someone who is truly family oriented, and most importantly, is jobless now!

Yet they are committing the major blunder of trying to teach him a lesson (at least discussing the same) just as Zain is committing a similar blunder of persistently bending backwards for Zoya (including paying her tution fees)!

The bottom line is that nobody is realising where the actual issue lies, and is continuously only adding to the already existing pile of issues...nobody is willing to take a step back and reflect...to introspect!!

And that is why, the relevance of another important life lesson in this drama...

The importance of self-awareness

The importance of listening

The importance of wisdom

Are all, as important ingredients in designing the recipe of successful relationships, as is unconditional love, kindness and support!

Cheers!

DocD

P.S.: Danyal was OUTSTANDING in the outburst scene...I actually watched it twice!😀

I officially declare myself to be a Danyal Zafar fan! 😁

He should seriously invest in honing his craft...he is a Fawad Khan, in the making!👍👌👏

Less rating don't affect in shutting of a drama in Pak.

Yeah dear online popularity is equally important. Drama like Raqse Bismil is not getting high ratings but still it's famous. As it's very much popular online.

Hey, Nina, thanks for the reply, Dear...

Yes, I understand what you’re saying...about the ratings...but that’s because of the inherent nature of how dramas run in India versus Pakistan...in Pakistan, they shoot the entire drama, and it’s then telecast, while in India they shoot them more on real time basis.

My question was more related to trying to understand that if a drama doesn’t do well in terms of TRP, but is a success online, what does that mean for the PH or the drama industry?

Does that mean that if the drama is an online success (like REB, as you mentioned), it is a success for all practical purposes (even if it has poor TRP)?

Is this the reason why Pak dramas continue to produce some rare gems, despite most of the stuff still being cliched?

Asking so many questions, since, have always wondered that when Indian and Pakistani cultures are so similar, why does Pak TV still continue to produce some very good content (albeit rare), while ITV almost always doesn’t?

Love,

DocD

Totally agree with your views on Zoya giving him unnecessary attitude....was just not justified!

As you rightly said, she’s not in love yet...but she enjoys his company right? Wasn’t she the one who was the reason they spent the entire night by the beach?

Then, why behave as though Zain is the epicentre of all their woes?

With regards to Zain’s behaviour with his parents, yes, he was not justified, but they should have seen it coming...

Fauzia can be one Nosy Parker, as can be Zebunissa

The sad part is that even Furqanuddin, despite having identified the need to give Zain his space and the young couple to sort out their own issues, also relented to Zoya’s tantrums and Fauzia’s pressure tactics.

This family (Zoya included) needs to stop guilt tripping the guy, and start to see things from Zain’s perspective for a change...

If nothing else, they need to lay off, and instruct Zain and Zoya to sort out their own issues, Zain’s job and Zoya’s fees included!

Anyways, you take care...

Love,

DocD

Hi DocD..you be spot on as always!❤️

I just feel like Zoya constantly belittling Zain and his efforts and making it seem like she got married to him because of his family being respectable folks, is totally not done. It is nice on her part to go out of her way and do some sweet things for all family members, but she is linked to them through Zain..and she has to behave appropriately with him first..

Zain's behaviour was also uncalled for yesterday..he is constantly seeking for Zoya's approval and acceptance..and because he is not getting it, he is taking it out on his parents and Billoo and everyone else. He doesnt need to behave badly with his own family either.

Beautifully penned DocD! <3

Daniyal is a real find - he possesses the star quality. He is good looking, can act, and has a very pleasant screen presence and undeniable charm..and I like his voice too (not the singing voice - he has been quite besura in the two songs he sung in this show😆, but the dialogue delivery is spot on!)..OMG i was thinking the exact same thing - last time I felt like this about an actor - was Mr Fawad Khan.

Hiya FL! 🤗🤗🤗

You be on point, too....always!👍

Yes, Zoya’s remarks demeaning Zain, and making it seem like she’s done him a huge favour by getting married to him, was completely unwarranted!

In fact, I will go to the extent of saying that only if she had handled the situation with maturity, and toned down the impact of their fight (when Billoo spilled the beans to Fauzia), it wouldn’t have come to this (as in, Zain’s confrontation with his parents).

It was like Zain was getting cornered from all sides, with the floodgates finally opening...sadly, Zain’s parents were at the receiving end!

Truth be told, Zain is also responsible for this...he has allowed for things to reach the flashpoint that it has...

In fact, Zoya completely deserved the brunt of his outburst as well! Very good, touch that!👍

But, old habits die hard as they say...he was back the next day, in his loverboy avatar!😡 Obviously, Zoya will never understand!

Needless to add, I love discussing the drama with you....

You take care and stay safe, Dost!

Much love,

DocD

Ok then, now it can be told...Great minds think alike!😀

WoW! You think so too...about the Fawad Khan connection...

I have been thinking so for quite some time, but refrained to comment, until I saw more of Danyal, than his romantic avatar...

He clearly does that very well, but it’s the little nuances that he has been giving to his performance, and consistently so....that got me seriously thinking...

And so, when I watched the outburst scene in yesterday’s episode, my mind was made....felt like an actual altercation between an exasperated son and his family....and, the ease with which he shouldered it...reminded me immediately of Fawad Khan (and Sanam Saeed’s) iconic library showdown scene...when, I had concluded that Fawad is a really good actor!

Two very different scenarios, yet similar, and sufficient to indicate an understanding that both of them have of their craft!👍

The other similarities you have already outlined and totally agree with you on the same...the good looks, easy charm, natural screen presence and pleasant personality....that, elusive star quality, as you rightly put it!👌

Danyal’s other major (and if I may add unique skill sets) are that there is something very sincere about the guy...as in, like genuinely sincere!

The other attribute is his voice modulation or dialogue delivery as you have also mentioned...he does that extremely well...little things, like the scenes where Zain wakes up in the morning...he actually sounds like he is still in bed!😀

I will also go to the extent of saying that prima fascie, he is a better actor than he is a singer (although I did like his rendition of the OST, but didn’t think much of the 2nd melody)

The larger point that I am trying to make here is that, he is a good but mediocre singer (there may be many more like him), but he has a lot of skillsets, to put him in a position of advantage as an actor.
Yet another similarity, maybe, with Fawad Khan!😀

To conclude, the Pakistani drama industry has some really fantastic talent...genuinely good actors, who understand and know their job extremely well.

Despite such stiff competition, Danyal Zafar has it in him to hit bullseye!

Amen to that!🤞

And to think, that I was almost going to give Tanaa Banaa a miss...I was planning to watch Ishq Jalebi out of the 3 Ramzan specials...really like Wahaj and Madiha, from their previous work....but then, I could make time for only 1 drama...and decided to choose TB...and guess what the reason was...had the shortest duration out of the 3!😂

Thank God for my choice....discovered Danyal and Alizeh, and most importantly, met you!🤗

If I was zain I would have fallen out of love with this people pleaser.

This drama is getting unbearable for me. Just to justify Zoya's behavior writer is turning zain as a rude and disobedient character who does batameezi with his family.

Why such inconsistency in his character. In past he never misbehaved with his parents then why suddenly they showed him like this just to show that zoya is so sweet and caring bahu.

I feel for Zain. Writer has just ruined the story. Instead of resolving the issues between Zain and zoya. They added this family matter just to ignore all zoya's misbehaviour and zain's in bad light.

Zoya has no respect for Zain. I hope when the agreement comes out everyone takes her class.

Hiya people!

Just finished watching episode 25 and loved it! 👍

Zain should have seen it coming...on second thoughts, he never would have...agar itna dimaag hota, things would have never come to this!
The guy just can’t see beyond Zoya...arey itna bhi kya pyaar main andhey hona!😀

Zain and Zoya totally deserve each other...ek dusrey ke life ka siyappa banao, na ke kisi samajdhar bande ke saath, na nibha paana!😀

The point I am trying to make is that both of them are immature and self-centered in their own way...a typical new age couple in many ways...they need to get their priorities right...only then, can this marriage (and many like theirs), end up being a success....

LOVED the proverbial “final nail in the coffin” scene....superbly conceptualised, written and executed! The perks really, of a tight screenplay, in a time-bound drama!👍
Everybody in the scene, added their bit to make it a confrontation scene to remember....but, SPECIAL mention for Danyal, Javeria and Ismatji....they were simply SUPER!👏

This scene would not have turned out the way it did, without the BG music...just added so much to the scene!👌

Really liked the follow-through scene between Zain and Zoya in their room...

Zain, being Zain, was still completely oblivious...

Zoya, being Zoya, was handling things the way she thinks best!

Alizeh was FANTASTIC in the initial part of the conversation between Zain and Zoya...it was Zain who was doing all the talking, but Zoya managed to say it all, completely on the strength of Alizeh’s expressions!👍

Have to mention here that I really liked the decision that she took, but obviously being Zoya, just had to ruin the impact of it, only a few minutes later! 😀

Some BRILLIANT subtleties on display in the scenes thereafter...

Zain, trying by hook or by crook, to draw everyone’s attention to his leaving the house...the clearing of the throat touch was FAB...typical Zain behaviour, that!😁

Billoo waving his hand with a bye as Zain was leaving 😀

And finally, the mighty irritated Zain taking his frustrations out on the poor suitcases....since the family was obviously in no mood to listen!😆

Zain bhaisahab is very clearly, completely clueless of the odds stacked up against him...

The first blow came in the form of his bachpan ka jigri dost

The second blow came in the form of Zoya, being Madam Zoya, wanting to teach him a lesson!🤨

I mean, will these two ever, like EVER, grow up??!!

Or maybe, as Zain’s Abba had said in a previous epi...”Tabdelee to aate aate hi aati hai”...

Clearly, in Zain and Zoya’s case, koi samjhane wala chahiye ke kis tabdelee ki zaroorat hai

Guess it’s going to be Zoya’s mother who will bell the cat....the only sane voice of reason...who is going to pave the way...

For better sense to prevail!
Zoya anyway needs to change more than Zain does

Zain only needs to realise his mistake!

On that hopeful note...

Cheers!
