Just finished watching Episode 22

A single line summary...

Zoya is really lucky to have Zain in her life. Period.

A very well done epi...the series has some of the best screenplay/pace that I have watched in a very long time!👍

What a fine dynamic of the Zain-Zoya equation on display....much required for them, to move to the next phase of their relationship, especially since the “rose-tinted glasses” are over and done with...

Am I the only one who felt that the entire car sequence was FANTASTICALLY done!

👏👏👏

Everything...right from the build-up of the sleep-deprived Zain of the previous night...to the Zoya-Billoo conversation....Zoya’s instinctive reaction of thinking of Zain as a shield for avoidance of the household chores...to the...final showdown in the car!

The trigger was obviously Zoya’s “puri duniya ko khush karna”....Zain’s reaction was justified!

What really caught my attention...were the arguments that he used...for calling a spade a spade!
The points on seeking approval...insecurity....agenda of every individual person...were SPOT ON!👍

Some REFRESHING writing on display...a very normal husband-wife convo!👏

Another observation....Zain was the logical one...and Zoya, the immature one...in this conversation.

As in, the layers....very nicely done!

The bottom line....there is no one personality archetype that can describe a person...there are attributes...there are traits...

And, we evolve along the way

Through this journey called life!

Zoya handled the aftermath very poorly.

It’s not that she doesn’t know how to “handle” situations

No, not for a moment am I suggesting that Zain was not in the wrong...of course, he committed a blunder...

And, Zoya made an even greater mess of it!

The guy was most sincere in his apology...again, the scenes of Zain trying to manao Zoya...very nicely done!👍

And, hence, the summary...

Zoya is indeed lucky to have Zain in her life!

She needs to get her act together soon...

Zoya is an intelligent and lovely young girl

She is used to being the centre of attraction (fantastic placement of the Zoya-Zain dinner at Zoya’s mom’s place)

Zain continues to keep the same momentum intact

Marriages, unfortunately, are not made successful this way...

Zoya will understand this soon...

She needs to grow up, and fast! :)

Cheers!

WOW! Just simply WOWWW!

What an episode...am referring to Episode 23, here!

👏👏👏

What a FANTASTIC turn of events!👍

Just LOVING the new found Zain!

What a SUPER character graph! And, totally believable, too!👌

Guess the build up was already happening with Zoya snubbing Zain’s most heartfelt effort...of wooing her back in the garden...I mean the guy even managed to say a “I love you” despite the chhichora comment by Zoya...pun completely intended!

Was absolutely not required!

And, then the proverbial last straw...Fauzia and her mindlessness!

LOVED Zain’s “Main nahin bataoonga” retort!
Totally understood his rigidness of sticking to his guns, unrelenting till the very end...in the face of Fauzia’s persistence!

A thumbs up to the maturity that Zain showed, in the dealing of the issue with Zoya...the scene in the room, soon after...

Not for a second in shifting the focus towards Zoya yet again taking Zain for granted...with the demand for her fees!

Zain just sticking to the issue on hand...this is THEIR issue...and, THEY need to resolve it!👍

Something that even Zebunissa obviously didn’t quite get...passing on the buck ever so easily on to the family’s favourite scapegoat....Zain!

This is most certainly an issue with most South Asian families...at least, the subcontinent for sure!

The concept of SPACE is limited to outer space only, I feel!😀

Yet again, a very pertinent message...woven so seamlessly into the script!👏

LOVED, absolutely LOVED the fact that Zain did not pay Zoya’s fees

LOVED even more his calm demeanour, when Zoya had the audacity to accuse him

To his credit, he did not even once, call out her selfishness

Even the shartnama threat could not get the better of him

He only gave it back to her, with a simple yet extremely powerful “Woh Maine Mohabbat main sign kiya tha...usse badke kuch nahin hai mere liye”!
👏👏👏

And, the final outburst...as his parents pushed him to the wall...

Completely justified!

Zara Zain ke nazron se bhi dekhein, please...

There are always two sides to a coin!

This post would be incomplete, without a special mention of Danyal Zafar...

He is without a trace of doubt, THE find of the season!

This guy knows his craft, has superb range, and has most intelligently chosen a fantastic script that is effectively showcasing his talent

Zain is an extremely well-written character (and so is Zoya).....

Danyal has definitely left me mighty IMPRESSED!

Alizeh is a wonderful and nuanced actress too, but Danyal is really standing out, in every darn episode...thanks, maybe, to the character graph of Zain, on display!

Am sure the next few episodes will bring out the other shades of Zoya...Alizeh will do complete justice to it...this is as much Zoya’s journey, as much as it is Zain’s!😊

Cheers!

Gpm got good ratings as well and people liked sam's character. If a drama like mkpyh can get ratings then i don't have any expectations from tv audiences but for Pak drama online views are as important as Ratings. You can't deny that Raqse bismil is equally famous as Kam3.

Hi Nina! 🤗

A query, dear...

Why are online views important for Pak dramas? I thought ratings call the shots even there, as they do here in India.

Online views, are only a bonus I thought...

So would a drama with great online views be considered a hit even if it had poor ratings? If yes, what would be the implications? Since dramas are made for TV, and hence TRPs are all that matter, right?

Am I missing something here?

You take care...

I agree with everyone who thinks that Zoya is not treating Zain as she's treating everyone else in her in-laws. Initially, I thought that she's testing the truth and depth of Zain's proclaimed love for her. However, now, I feel that she just accepted his love but from her side, she neither felt anything for him before marriage and nor does he's successful to make her feel anything for him after the marriage. Hence, basically, it is a one-sided love so Zain's frustration is inevitable.

However, while thinking about Zain, I also feel that the drama is subtly hinting at his relationship with his family. It seems that he was always on the 'taking side' with his family while never giving anything in return. He had lots of savings since he never ever gave any money to them despite earning substantially. He never seems to even give them any gifts. When Zoya buys gifts for them or sends them to Umrah with Zain's money then it pleasantly surprised the family and bothered Zain. I agree that Zoya should have tried to convince and team up with Zain in both of these tasks instead of using his money and taking all the credit. However, I also feel that if she had done this then Zain would not show much enthusiasm and would just say yes to make Zoya happy. Zain saying to Zoya that you're putting all these efforts to be in the good books of my family could be a wrong guess and there's a possibility that Zoya has started liking them genuienly. While I think that both Zoya and Zain are immature on various levels, I also do believe that where Zoya needs to work on her relations with Zain, he also needs to work on his relations with his family. I don't remember even one scene in which Zain is showing some loving emotions towards any of his family members or thinking about anyone else other than him. If Zoya seems self-centered with Zain then Zain also seems to be self-centered considering his dealings with his family. Today's episode seems to shed more light on his relationship with his family..... let see..

FANTASTIC analysis @Ctrl-Alt-Del! 👍

Totally spot on, you are, about the lacuna that exists between Zain and his family.

He has always been so accommodating towards Zoya, but taken his Mom’s services always for granted!

There were similar insights on his equation with his Dad...when he is completely taken aback, when his Dad asks him about his job, in one of the earlier episodes...

Even his displeasure with Zoya on her spilling the beans on losing his job alluded to pretty much the same thing...a very telling statement...”Main apni problems kabhi discuss nahin karta apni family se...isiliye woh soch rahein honge ke Maine tumhein kaise bola”, etc.

The other issue is that his parents/family have also never taken him very seriously, ever

Although they most genuinely care for him and love him very much...their response to him losing his job, is ample proof of that!

The problem is that they think he is this emotional, sensitive bachha who needs guidance and mentoring...and that is exactly where they are wrong!

Zain is an adult and has a mind of his own...they need to appreciate and respect that...just as they are doing for Zoya.

It is these cracks which are now coming to the fore

And, it is these cracks which make human relationships so unique and interesting

That they are never uni-dimensional

People are always layered! :)

This drama is a priceless GEM at so many levels!🤗

Cheers!

Its wrong that he is taking it out on Billoo and his parents, but its basically all the pent up anger and frustration w.r.t to Zoya which is coming out. He has given his 100% into the marriage and yet Zoya doesnt respect him, doesnt behave appropriately only with him..while she continues to be a people pleaser and ultra sweet to all of his remaining family. Come on babe, cut him some slack and be nice, even if you are "not" in love yet?

Hey FL....how I LOVE to read your analysis, my Friend!👍

Totally agree with your views on Zoya giving him unnecessary attitude....was just not justified!

As you rightly said, she’s not in love yet...but she enjoys his company right? Wasn’t she the one who was the reason they spent the entire night by the beach?

Then, why behave as though Zain is the epicentre of all their woes?

With regards to Zain’s behaviour with his parents, yes, he was not justified, but they should have seen it coming...

Fauzia can be one Nosy Parker, as can be Zebunissa

The sad part is that even Furqanuddin, despite having identified the need to give Zain his space and the young couple to sort out their own issues, also relented to Zoya’s tantrums and Fauzia’s pressure tactics.

This family (Zoya included) needs to stop guilt tripping the guy, and start to see things from Zain’s perspective for a change...

If nothing else, they need to lay off, and instruct Zain and Zoya to sort out their own issues, Zain’s job and Zoya’s fees included!

Anyways, you take care...

Hiya Tasnia! *Hugssss*

You are also extremely sweet, my Dear...

Have still to watch today’s episode...but the precap did hint towards that

Once again, seems like Zain will be at the receiving end of the family’s brunt!😡

Talk to you soon..,

Hi dear

For indian soaps rating is very important. They run on basis on ratings. If they will not get good ratings they will get ended. But for Pakistani dramas rating don't decide the fate of the show i mean if it will get less rating still It will run till it will get completed. Less rating don't affect in shutting of a drama in Pak.

Yeah dear online popularity is equally important. Drama like Raqse Bismil is not getting high ratings but still it's famous. As it's very much popular online.

I m actually not enjoying this drama. Zoya is so irritating. And Zain is frustrated. He did wrong by venting out his frustration on his family instead of zoya. And his family is also not understanding him. They all are just thinking about zoya.

I like those families which treat there daughter in law like their daughters but here none of the family member is understanding the reason of zain's frustation. Pehley zoya attention nhi deti thi and now all family members are ignoring him. And why no one is thinking about his job. Why he is not trying to get new job.

I want zain to not go behind zoya. Jisko qadar hi nhi usko keh kar kya qadar kar wa ly ga. Just ignore her the way she ignores him.

Same here frm last few episodes the earlier spark of the drama is missing now the story just evolves around misunderstanding.
