I saw the similarities and i am sure the makers intended it to be that way!!

So true.... there story is also symbolic to the families of warriors (currently police and army people) who wait with lot of love for their heroes to return safe and sound. Salute to such families and those heroes like kamal jhoshi, samrat and virat chavan who sacrifice their lives for people.
