It was a token scene, nothing much else😆.
He was basically telling her to take the dupatta dhang se cuz they were going for a formal event. The way she usually ties her dupatta on the side is a more casual look.

Mujhe makers ka Adi ko flip karwane ka rationale samajh nahi aaya. They can still glorify Didi without flipping Adi, what's the need to flip his character 180 degrees? Do they fear audience backlash if Adi doesn't sympathise with Malini or think that showing Adi sympathising with her shows him in a more positive light? It may to a section of the audience, but it isn't consistent with his character at all.
If this is b/c of social media crap I'd advise makers to please have some faith in your product, your writing...you haven't catered to audience whims so far, so why do it now?
Most importantly, if makers are reading, I hope you understand that you are sending a negative message by glorifying a character who wants to commit suicide for a failed relationship. It's also plain glorification of defeatism. Please have the guts to call out wrong actions instead of absolving blame via the guilt-ridden shoulders of other characters.😵

@bold - it was beyond reproachful. But good riddance anyway. Not that Imlie ever needed either of the mother son duo to do anything in her life. She knows that they will remember what she said about Imlie previously.
If Aditya forgets the location of his spine, well good for him. He can live with his saath forever. Bhugte apne impulsive action ka result
