yep initial love episodes of virakhi was too flat.no chemistry.

But I sometimes feel paakhi looked older than virat

Maybe something to do with didi's makeup.compared to sairat screen presence paakhi feels bland

So obviously he can do amazing when it comes to his own partner.

I felt they deliberately kept it that way to not make it too awkward for audience.

Your point is true but when they both were in love, even in those scenes I couldn’t see the chemistry I see in Sairat

I love Sairat and can see a spark in them. When there was a question of who looked better with Virat/Neil, many voted for Sai/Ayesha. Me too. She looks too young and I love their pair. I couldn’t see this spark in any of the Virakhi scenes. It was not at all because I was biased or because I liked Ayesha more. Aish also looks beautiful but even then I couldn’t like their Jodi, couldn’t find their chemistry attractive.

People then started to make fun of real life couple I believe saying that they don’t have the chemistry that Neil has with Ayesha. They are all fogetting that they are watching Virat and Sai and not Neil and Ayesha.

Virakhi's story was a rushed one and none of us could connect to it too. We are not in the closed circle of the real life couple, if we were, we might have noticed their chemistry. Both of them have a story, have a history and their likes, interest, nature also matches quite a lot and all these elements would be bringing out the chemistry in their pair too.

I love how you have mentioned, that they are real life couple in the first line but when you spoke about chemistry, you wrote Virat and Pakhi. That is the answer actually.

Real or reel doesn’t matter. The chemistry that we see, comes basically because of the background of our couple’s story too.

The foundation of Sairat's story was set strong.

We just do not see Virat and Sai in that scene, we see them as the same couple from GC, who didn't have any liking for each other romantically and then the couple who wanted each other and started to seek each other's attention and who started to flirt.

Every scene in their journey, always shows us a progress in their life and we love that. Their history is always in our subconscious mind, hence a scene is not just a standalone scene, we get excited with the progress ❤❤.

It was a slow and steady progress, except for the holi sequence where they jumped miles into intimacy level smiley2.

We subconsciously look at them in contrast to how they were once and it makes it seem more attractive. This element maintains the spark and brings out the chemistry that we see.

Tagging our friends whom I think might like to know this take ❤❤. Hum sab Sairat pagal hain, pehle romance deprived, now thirst for more romance 😉.

absolutely!!!!

honestly, it is not necessary that a real life couple shares great chemistry...

I mean look at kajol.. Her chemistry with SRK is spoken about more than her husband Ajay Devgan... Or even deepika, her chemistry with Ranbir kapoor is spoken about more than with Ranveer singh...

Some pairs just ooze chemistry without any effort and Neil and Ayesha are the same..

I don't mean to sound rude or anything, but this is just my opinion.. I think the problem also lies in the fact that Aishwarya looks older than Neil.. Whereas ayesha makes Neil look younger.. It makes a difference for me at least..

But anyway, it doesn't matter to me because I watch the show for sairat and no one else.. It's not that I am biased but they are the most attractive feature and the USP of the show for me!

You explained it so beautifully.. yes in first line I mentioned virat and pakhi... Because I want to be clear that I am only and only talking about virat and pakhi but not about Neil and aish. .. infact I like Neil and aish offscreen but onscreen as you mentioned it's only sairat.... As you mentioned maybe that's because of story... I described it correctly

I have a totally different take on chemistry. If you see much older shows, only a few couples used to have great chemistry. But if you see nowadays, trend is reversed - only a few leads don't have good chemistry. My take from this is that directors have learnt how to manufacture chemistry - especially in TV shows. I've heard of actors who hated each other bring out amazing chemistry onscreen. I don't know how exactly they manufacture chemistry - one factor is definitely eye-contact and certain expressions. There seems to be a certain formula for all this. Camera work may be another factor. Added to all this, when you have a combination of very talented actors who are invested in their relationship, the chemistry goes a notch higher than the rest, example being SaiRat. They seem to be playing off each other's expressions (a mark of good actors). The fact that it is a daily show means they have lot of time to learn about the other person's acting style and expressions.

Another reason may be as @laksh said, the ML-FL story is gradually built up over months and so the audience can connect to it more. As far as Pakhi and Virat is concerned, their initial love story was so short that there was no time to develop a chemistry. Yesterday's Virakhi dance lacking spark could be that no effort was invested - either because they are not the lead couple or even could be deliberate to keep audience focus on lead couple. Forget chemistry, it seemed artificial. I also find Aishwarya lacking in acting - let us see how SamRakhi chemistry is, then we will know the answer.

Manufactured chemistry? 😆😆

Hatred between actors playing a part? Oh wow

Camera and actors - you are right they would have invested some time in that too.

I actually was thinking of another thing now. Though I do believe that the story is playing a part, I have always loved their chemistry in their initial days too. The tashan, the hatred and lack of attraction between Sai and Virat also looked attractive 😆, added to their teasing and banters.

These elements were missing in Virakhi and falling in love immediately and getting close is a big NO. Not all couples who get close immediately look good together. May he Sairat might have even if not for the tashan. Sai being younger (physical appearance and age as per story) than Virat looks attractive (not in a wrong sense 😳).

No...I am saying even hatred does not affect the onscreen chemistry...because the directors seem to have found the knack of showing the leads oozing chemistry...

I believe it was due to the SaiRat's story was developed. I agree that unlike other couples, their interactions were good right from the beginning. Their individual talents is another contributing factor. Virakhi story was to short and silly. Their whole love story probably lasted 3 days (our calender!). And it was in the beginning too when the entire team was just starting. Also, Aishwarya is not a particularly good actress. My opinion is that physical appearance will not matter.
