@b-Bingo....
The whole point is ki calling out an abuser as abuser is still not allowed in our society becoz of many reasons,how society here works,its judgemental attitude,its not landing helping hand to a struggling women intead what we say kichad uchalna is done,,collective thinking of people,how society takes children of divorced women,all the struggles they had to face somewhere binding them to the man who tortures,jhooti shaan of maa baap of some,than illiteracy,high financial dependance of women...and many more we can go on and on yaar...
@b2-I want to be truthful amd the bitter truth is it doesn't seem so,not to me atleast....actually we are now in the phase where women are going out and earning but I guess being equual rights and what we say breathe in free air still seems a long road to me...and than as I said to Akanksha also if we can't change atleast we can choose individually how we want to live and work hard for that...
This was or is a society which said "A woman's place is in the kitchen".and when something goes wrong, they go back to that old "proverb" and says if the women were not "allowed" to roam out and study, this would not have happened.
A mother is the one who usually advices her kid how to behave.Why.. because she knows if anything were to happen, its the woman towards whom all fingers will be pointed....Bitter but true.
These Deep rooted "morals" are what we all grew up learning. Its hard to throw it out.
@B - I agree..
I didn't watch original one & don't watch this one too. My judgement is based on mother india's rambling. She watch original on & off. & most of the time she is pretty correct about these things.Originally posted by: Priya12000
Shallow..Why??
I have not seen the original one. and i don't think its copy paste though..So dont judge until you see the S version
So according to her in original one her transition was slow but realistic. & after a Point they'll make that cheater pati ram & other women a complete villain. They used the other women as a tool to justify his action. & all people will turn into saint. She said lot of absurd things which I forgot.😆 They started that one on a good note but eventually.... In here also my mother said premise is quite same, in fact some major scene & dialogues are copy pasted. But she prefers indrani(bengali one's lead actor).

Look at us different backgrounds,different states,we both have met here first time still what you said is as common for me as for you,so yes we know the reality and can't be delusional and say no no we are progressing we have made it...and clap...
We have to consider their background here. They can't leave. Society didn't give them the 'option' to leave.I have seen some worst. Some of the woman's husband doesn't work mostly and beat their wives and those womans work as house maids for their family and still does not say anythings to their husbands.
Yup Unfortunately it's always like ma ne kya sikhaya..Originally posted by: Priya12000

I think i liked it not because of the FL's bashans..but because the show is not one sided
After the affair revelation, it did not turn the husband into complete negative and anupama a victim
I dont know how the original showed it, but i like that the SP version tries to understand the husband's pov too.
He may be a misogynist, a bad husband but he is not a bad father and the fact that the makers have showcased that is something to be noted. because usually in ITV, such infidelity tracks get one dimensional.
Certain scenes from the show is really well written.
But yeah, tomorrow it may become a normal ITV serial, So no high hopes
