Loved your analysis!

Shaurya hiding behind the wall reminds me of him hiding behind the hospital wall. 😭

My assumption is that he doesn't try to hide his vulnerability (to some extent) from Anokhi (and he takes a lot of freedom with her) but his immediate reaction to others seeing him in a vulnerable state is to cover up/hide.

I didn't like Aastha's dialogue about "you got a son without labour pain." Having known so many women who get punched with this line in our society I thought it was quite regressive for a show that tries to portray Aastha as a feminist. I have seen this line being used by people even for those who go through c-section birthing and it hurts because you don't need to experience labour pain to be a mother for someone. Also for those adoptive parents (not talking about child snatches like Devi-Tej) who are out there it's a hard-hitting line. This was a line she could have avoided or she could have told something like - "You will not know what a mother's love is because you snatched a child from his mother for your selfish reasons".

Haha! And her smiling for his "humsafar" comment!

Gosh, is the girl that dense? Even a teenager would get the double entendre.

Did Shaurya hear that? I guess not!

As I said...

I did want to point out that Shaurya has been little out of his regular character. I really wanted some Shaan-Shaurya conversation today. It was needed to help Shaurya analyze his action and maybe his feelings for Anokhi too!

Now, since we are talking about characters, makers are completely screwing up this Astha, Shaan and Anokhi angle... Did they forget, Shaurya had cut his hand yesterday? if not Anokhi, atleast show Astha tending it😵

Devi, being a woman, has equally low thinking like Shaurya and she called it out on Anokhi... I am glad Anokhi didn't hear those, but I do want Astha to tell Shaurya about it... So that Shaurya realizes how low he had stooped and how is lovely family has helped him gain the same perspective. Shaurya literally needs to buckle up a bit... He cares about no one and nothing except for Anokhi, which could be little like out of character... He had been a person who always maintained dignity and charm to handle things logically... All of the sudden his over focus on Anokhi is just going little overboard... Seems like he literally waited for Car to come and hit him... Anokhi never came in front of driving car, 😆 smart girl... But I wonder if Astha is smart enough to realize stupid things Shaurya is doing.

Just my opinion...

Interesting Analysis...loved it

Shaurya: He is behaving like a teenager and emotionally unstable person, a far cry from graceful and closed off professor from past. I struggle to understand that the change. I assume it is he is partly guilty and partly overwhelmed with unexplored emotions for Anokhi. Also he was closed off to any emotions until now as everyone tiptoed around him and that allowed him keep up his defenses and hide vulnerability. With Anokhi barging through his defenses without a second thought, he is struggling to manage his emotions. He has been a passionate and fair professor in past and he believes he is doing all this for Anokhi because she is extremely bright and as a teacher he needs to nurture her potential. He is not willing at this point to even consider any other reason because that would mean he is attracted to his unruly and outspoken student who is significantly younger to him. She is nothing like the person he probably hoped to love and marry. It will also mean he is more vulnerable than he has ever been in past. If only he could see himself doing all the crazy things he is doing...the lies we tell ourselves!

I am glad they should he was impacted by divorce. I have always felt he never wanted the divorce and he definitely does not hate Astha. He resents her because he believes that she choose her dreams and left a broken family behind. To top it she never looked back to see what happened to her son and husband. I think he wants his dad out of his drunken stupor and a heartfelt apology and repentance from Astha. He wants her to say that she missed him, she loved him.

I feel sad for this character because he seems so lonely despite the supposed love of the family. He seems to have no true confidante and no one who knows him.

Anokhi: Life is a struggle and no one knows this better than her. She can be stubborn as a mule if she chooses to. I do not get her decision to leave SAIC and that too happily. There might be times in future when society will point a finger at her and call her unfair names. There will be situations in future where her boss, her acquaintances might be misogynists and they will try to pull her down. Will she run away every time? There is no doubt that SAIC will get her better future and faster if she can stick around so the fact that she has no regrets does not make sense to me. I still do not get her ease with Ahir. If someone I met a week back offered to drive me and my guardian to Kapurthala, I would be hesitant and refuse. These ladies are completely comfortable and that includes Astha.

Astha and Shaan: Kya kahoo...two peas in a pod. They are so caught up in their own world that they have no inkling as to what is happening with Anokhi or Shaurya. They are the worst parents ever. If anything they are more protective of Anokhi than Shaurya not sure why. Because Shaurya is a supposedly mature guy or because they have washed their hands off him after foisting him on Devi. Not once has Astha displayed natural curiosity of a mother and asked Anokhi about Shaurya in college. In her place, I would try to find everything I could about him, take pictures and see if I could repair that relationship somewhat even if that meant I would get humiliated repeatedly. Shaan calls out that Shaurya is behaving oddly but he has not tried to find out why. The rest of the family can see what Shaan and Astha should have sensed long back...the forging of an unlikely bond between Shaurya and Anokhi. I think the only good thing that came out of all the recent interactions between Shaan and Astha was it pulled Shaan out of his self pity and motivated him to chase Astha again.

Rest of the Sabherwals : The less said, the better. This is a truly toxic family. I liked the fact Tej was concerned about the impact divorce would have on Shaurya and Shaan. My guess is he is just trying to hold his family together in a very age old and conservative manner where he is the head of the family and no one opposes him. Devi and Alok on the other hand are truly evil and can really go low.

I guess Kitty and Bebo are about to get their due, I do not see this end well in any scenario. Is Anmol back to his playboy ways or take a revenge on Sabherwals? Does he truly like Kitty or has he reformed? We will have to wait and see.

I think Ahir has some pending work in Kapurthala. It seemed like he was on a holiday, so he thought to give Anokhi and Aastha a ride. Sadly, everything about him relates to Anokhi and in turn fuels Shaurya's jealousy. They don't have to use him as a random plot device. He could easily be incorporated where he is really needed and turn him into a positive, lovable and useful supporting character. This serial desperately needs a useful supporting character pertaining to leads.

With Anokhi, he is always raw and real. At least that's what I have noticed. He never fakes anything in front of this girl. He cannot. This is something I like. If Anokhi were to really be his wife, she needs to know how he is at his core.

I didn't like Aastha's dialogue about "you got a son without labour pain." Well, yes, I should have been more cognizant to this while making this review. I loved Aastha's comeback so much that I didn't think of anything else. That's my fault too.

The humsafar line was way out of the league. No one uses it for a fellow traveler these days. He conveniently has work everywhere when Anokhi has work. If that was the case, these three would have met much before. The CVs needs to stop relating everything Ahir says/does to Shaurya's possessiveness. They should make him a positive, lovable and useful supporting character.

I love all of Shaurya's one-liner. We also have a thread dedicated to his dialogues in our forum.
