I can understand all the above things you said can stop her from confessing but cannot r be the reason for not falling in love or showing care and concern for than man who has done so much for him .

Sai confuses Virat as much he confuses her . She never let’s go off an opportunity to push him towards Pakhi. Asking him to get rose for Pakhi , asking Pakhi to get him food makes Virat believe that she doesn’t like him and is not interested in him . Let’s not forget she was the one to make statement like I won’t marry even if he the last person on this earth and many times brings up deal marriage . Virat won’t open up about his feelings and show his vulnerable side for a girl with the fear of getting hurt . He hasn’t given up either he keeps throwing hints with the hope that he will get some positive response fro herwhich will make him feel she is ready for this relationship. I don’t see any such efforts from her to understand his changed feelings . Many people like Tai, Pulkit , Shivani and Aai have pointed about Virat’s love for her yet she overlooks all that and is struck at words uttered during the marriage . He has directly said few things which makes it clear that she is important to him . Some efforts is needed from her as well

Firstly, this was not the scene when he talks that he had to go to GC. That was spoken when Sai tried to give him food.

The scene in this picture is when Sai tries to talk about her results to Virat and Virat will be upset with Sai and the whole situation because Pakhi would have left the house.

Thanks, I am very happy you wanted to know what I had to share about it. I had got up in the middle of the night to check the written updates and so I couldn't reply to you in detail.

I thought I will catch some sleep since I could hardly keep my eyes open after about 3 hours of staying online that late in the night. Sorry about that.

I have been posting replies in 404usernotfound post about Sai's feelings and couldn't reply in this topic.

Also, I thought that it was about the conversation that Sai and Virat had once he returned from work and when she was waiting to share about her awaiting results.

The picture was from the scene but the post is about how he said he had "apne sabse pyaari si cheez kho di". That was when Sai tried to give him food and when he was upset that his job was at stake.

Since it was only this post, I didn't have much to talk about. I will post whatever I have to say about it though.

Sai..such a wonderful character...writer's delight. She has many shades to her that gives ample opportunity for a writer to experiment with. I am a single child and I can relate to her character in may ways. She is too pampered though, because she is a single child without a mother. Therefore she sometimes comes across as spoilt too :D but in an adorable way.

Sai builds walls around her because she is completely living in an alien enviroment now! Only way to protect her is to not let anyone in...

Sai's world then:

She is surrounded only with Love and Praise. She is loved by everyone around her and she is academically bright, smart and beautiful. She has only seen people who love her, praise her and adore her. She is made to feel like a princess and priceless. She has never known the reality of being manipulated, played with or to struggle for her dreams. One man, her father was there to protect her from everything even from dangerous goondas like Jagtap. Their eventual moving out of GC would have been a clear path ahead for her to achieve her dreams and happily live ever after.

Sai's world now:

She has no one to trust or belong. Usha maushi is only the care taker. She has security for her life through Virat but not for her heart. The only person she ever loved, her father is no more. And for her, no one is worthy to take his place. Rightfully so because parents can only love unconditionally. She is in the world which is completely opposite of what she had. People who hate her, manipulate events around her, control her and put her down. Gone are the praises and pamper she used to get in ample amounts. Most of the time she doesnt understand why people are bothered about her. In her opinion, she was perfect and is! She just needs only one person like her Aaba and she knows Virat could be that 'one' person. He is also that 'one' person who can break her heart if she is not careful enough to gaurd it. Hence the walls.

Sai, came into this marriage without her heart in it but she shares a special bond with the man who brought her into this. She looks upto him and trusts him completely as with her father. She has admiration for this man who she believes shares most of the personality with her father. She realized that whatever circumstances forced her into this marraige, she is in safe hands, but she has questions when it comes to his heart. For any girl especially of her age, they want to have this 'first' love to be exclusively theirs. For Sai, Virat is the first man in her life and she knows there is no reason not to love him. But him being so clear on the day of their marriage of his committment, she is not able to look beyond his words. How can she? She is so used to open appreciation and endearments from her family. She did not learn to see what Virat is trying to show her. She wants him to be more assertive with his words what she means to him just like her dad.

Virat bound by his own misery (vaada), and his responsibility towards a family member who indirectly is suffering because of his brother being MIA, he cannot be more expressive than he is with his actions towards Sai. Not only this, but his awareness of Sai's hesitance towards the marriage and the fact that she was forced into the marriage would not let him move ahead with full throttle. And rightly so. He knows there is a huge age gap (I believe she is 18 and he is 27 because Ashwini in one episode repeated continously to ninad about 'attaees' saal of their marrage) and he has to tread that carefully. Being too close to her might cease her to open up naturally to him. He is giving her time to build this intimate relationship at her own pace. again very chivalrous of him. But he doesnt know that Sai needs him to be more forth right and speed up things :)

I feel that now after Shivaratri days, they have a stronger bond. Whatever walls she is building are being broken by Virat easily and quickly. By separation I dont think she will have any walls, except for the anticipation that Virat is hers. For that Virat has to keep aside his kindness for Pakhi and see that someone else is breaking down. Separation will force him to be free of his guilt and see through Pakhi's obsession and come clean with her. After that even if he is less expressive in words, his actions will be more clear to Sai who will have unobstructed view of his heart without any walls in between. :)

PS: Sai and Virat characters are very good. hope they show good character arcs with these two unlike other ITV shows where the characters behave tangentially after a point of time.

There is not much to talk about this, so have shared the details of the scene and the context it was spoken.

"Virat first spoke about what it cost him to come to GC which led him to marry her, "GC jaake main apne sabse pyaari cheez kho dhi" "

Virat had to report in GC on an urgent basis.

We all know how Jagtap was harassing Sai.

When Virat and Kamal had a talk somewhere near the mountain, Virat came to know that he was asked to join the duty in GC, mainly to address the issue of Jagtap. He understood the urgency of the issue and promised to Kamal that Jagtap would not hurt Sai or any other girl in their village.

The scene that they are talking about him using 'pyaari cheez kho di' was used in anger and due to the below.

He was alleged of forcefully marrying Sai and they were setting up an enquiry committee for the same too. He was accused that he took advantage of Sai's position and married her against her will. He was mainly worried as how he will prove himself innocent because he knows none from the village will come forward and help him because they all fear Vittal Mane.

Coming back to how did he say that

Because he had to leave to GC in a hurry, he couldn't speak to Pakhi or confess his feelings to Pakhi that he was planning to.

If he had not gone to GC, he might have either confessed his feelings, he wouldn't have lost her contact details.

Technically speaking, if not for GC Pakhi and Virat might have been together.

That's exactly what Virat meant while saying

"GC jaake main apne sabse pyaari cheez kho dhi"

It wasn't right on his part to grow angry or hold Sai responsible for the issue he was facing. Sai wasn't to be blamed for that. It was his duty that he had to report to in GC and Sai was a victim and she had nothing to do with the allegations he was facing.

Well, whatever he had said, they were all something that came out in anger, frustration, helplessness. Virat's state of mind was what caused this outburst. He wasn't in the right state of mind to even realise what he was talking. He had just vented out his anger and frustration.

He had worked hard and had bagged the job and became an IPS officer, we have even come to know from Mohit that how studious and focussed Virat was.

And when his career was at stake for no mistake of his, he couldn't handle his emotions. It is only human to shout at the first person we see or to grow angry on someone when we are upset or to even put the blame on that person. People make mistakes and it was one such mistake by him when he was under tremendous pressure and when he thought his career will be doomed.

Whether he should have said that or not "the pyaari cheez"

At that point of time Virat was distraught.

He fell in love with Pakhi at the resort and had to part ways due to circumstances. (though we all don't think it was love, he believed that he loved her)

His and Sai's story in short before this happened.

- Virat had to leave from the resort in a hurry,

- he then lost Pakhi's phone number,

- couldn't find her details,

- found her at his Brother's Haldi ceremony as a bride,

- sacrificed his love for his brother,

- had to leave Samrat and Pakhi's wedding and then rush to GC again since Sai was in danger

- Sai rescued by Virat,

- Sai at Safe house,

- mission to arrest Jagtap,

- Kamal Sir gets shot and in the hospital

- Virat comes to know of Samrat MIA

- Death of Kamal sir

- Sai's suicide attempt

- Virat saves Sai yet again

- marrying Sai to take her responsibility and fulfil the promise he made to Kamal sir.

Looking at the above turn of events, we can see how Virat's life kept taking many turns. He had sacrificed his love for his brother and tried to get rid of the thoughts from the past as much as possible. Unfortunately, he had promised his ex to be there for her as a friend always. So, even though he had sacrificed his love and tried to erase those memories, he was/is there as a friend to his brother's wife.

Due to the circumstances, he had to marry Sai which he didn't want to. He had promised Pakhi that he will never give her place to anyone else in his life and his heart. However, to fulfill his promise made to Kamal sir and most importantly to protect Sai and help her become a doctor (which was her dream and her Aaba's dream), he decided to marry Sai. He had made it clear to Sai too that he has promised someone and that he can only take her responsibility.

And then they come home, CN. There were a few customs or rituals that they had to follow once they entered home as a newly married couple. Sai and Virat both were aware of what kind of relationship they were sharing. When Sai hesitated to share the bed with Virat, he assured her that he has not forgotten that their marriage was a "samjhautha waali" marriage of compromise.

And one day suddenly his career was at stake.

But in spite of all these turn of events, there was this love that he had buried within him.

There was a scene on terrace when Pakhi asked him what is her place in his life and he answered that she will be his friend and be will always stand by her. When she insists and asked him again if she only means that to him, he stayed silent because he didn't find the question to be appropriate and also that he won't be able to consider her as anyone else.

He respected that his ex lover is his brother's wife and he also knew that he was married. He has never even encouraged anything immoral in thoughts or conversations.

The reality was that he had feelings for Pakhi and it was not too long since they both parted ways.

There were some residual feelings, he did feel bad that he had lost his love. But more than that, he was disturbed that his career was about to get destroyed.

In this scene, he tells, how him deciding to accept the posting in GC was his biggest mistake. Had he not gone to GC, there wouldn't have arised any necessity to marry Sai and no one would have alleged him that he had forcefully married Sai.

His only issue were the allegations made on him and that he could lose his job.

And about Sai, she didn't think about deal or this wasn't the reason her walls were raised.

That night Sai only thought of how he had said that he shouldn't have gone to GC at all. She was made to see the reality which she knew anyway. She was the one who kept bringing the word deal between them always and he had even asked her not to use it in front of anyone, not even Pakhi.

He even asked her "kuch zyaada hi istemaal nahi kar rahi ho iss shabd ka" and then "yeh kya deal deal laga ke rakha hai".

All these were spoken the day before this incident. Virat never liked Sai calling their wedding as a deal. He liked her subconsciously and wasn't aware of it.

What he spoke was his past, that how he had to sacrifice his love.

Even then he was always loyal and he had accepted Sai as his wife.

The residual feelings or the heartbreak is not something that can get heeled quickly.

He was only going through a tough phase in his life when he spoke this. He was also very upset and too emotional.

Things got better after this incident. He started to miss Sai when she left his room that night and slept at Usha Maushi's room. He started to ask himself if he has got used to her in his room. He even apologised to have grown angry on Sai.

Anyway, he has come a long way and is working really hard to make his and Sai's relationship work.
