Shaurya feels Anokhi is a social climber who is using her innocence as facade and moving through life. He feels that Anokhi first gave him attention and when he finally started falling for her and did her bidding saving her multiple times she owed him something. He went beresk when she gave attention to ACP which was bestowed upon him and was his exclusive right. He feels she used him for emotional support and when her work was done she moved on to ACP. He kind of said the same thing to Astha that you loved me till I was needed and then you discarded me in a dustbin when you didn't need me any longer. He genuinely believes that a career woman can only be successful if she successfully manipulates the Men in position of Power. He considers himself as one too. It was jealousy yes partly but it was much rooted complex prejudice against working woman. In Shaurya’s mind woman are of two kinds the small town home makers like Gayatri and Kanchan and they are good and then there are evil social leapers like Astha and Anokhi who claim they are independent self made women yet needs a man to do their bidding by controlling them. Point being ACP in Anokhi's case and Shaan in Astha's case. That's why he said I won't fall for this scam. He thinks he is better and stronger than ACP or his father who gets easily manipulated by such girls. He hates that Anokhi always flinch when he touches her with decent intentions, always trying to her off his hand while she is complacent with ACP's casual touch with wrong intention and Anokhi is fine with that just for the sake of her advantage.

Feel free to add and point out on points I have missed about his prejudice against Ambitious Women.

Shaurya is such a conflicted and complex character to understand that mereko bhi chakkar aa raha hain usey samajne mein.

There are 2 factors that we have unanimously agreed that caused him to say and do the things he did - His Misogyny And his Jealousy. Like you mentioned, he said he ain't going to be scammed by her (because of his misogyny) but the next instant he mentions that even he is "rich and famous" as well, which somehow highlights his willingness to be "scammed". (that and his remarks about his touch, all of this points out his jealousy). He is very conflicted and his thoughts are incredibly muddled because he 'feels' whatever he feels despite being aware that she is someone who uses men to climb the social ladder. In essence, it is an internal conflict between his ideology and his feelings. If I could hypnotise him, I'd ask him - Was he willing, even for an instant, to be the rubbish that Anokhi could use and throw as per her convinience just because he feels an emotional connection with her ?

At the end of the day, I agree that his misogyny is so ingrained within him that he does not realise whatever he says is wrong, but does he also use his misogynistic soch as some form of defence mechanism to prevent himself from the hurt?

He is specially prejudiced towards woman from MC background and that's why Shagun worked for him, because she not only accepted the T&C that came with him, but was also from a privileged background which is why he even "allowed" her to work as a lecturer.

The touch thing had definitely riled him up, but there is a difference when someone touches your palm and when someone holds you while looking into your eyes!

That's one of the reason why I want this cheating case to be resolved by herself and see how Shaurya reacts to her independence (with no Ahir in picture). He should have some issues with Anokhi not needing him at all for she is a woman who has to be under man's shadow.

Ragging case - He took that seriously about exposing real culprits after media got involved. Shaan pointed out this hypocrisy even back then that no one really cared for a girl or her life.

But that's when he got all thank yous from Anokhi. He continued taunting her. Then comes a form of guilt for doubting her actions when he realized media was called from his house. Not only is he rude to his mother, but what he told Shaan was terrible things too! He is irked by a thought of loving a woman with so much respect and desperation who left HIM and her family. He fails to see how Astha did not need his father for so long - does he think that Astha survived without having any other expensive bills to pay?

Anokhi is a proper reflection of Astha. She has her dreams and I do hope she fulfills them and the show stands by promise. Initial promos promised not just a misogyny in thought of what a typical small town girls expect but also their role within a family. It spoke about they are and MUST take care of family. Currently, if the blabbering is put out, Anokhi's takkar should continue with each and every page of such thoughts and not just about being gold digger or being tagged as characterless. She should be shown fighting the gender roles in the society. I want her to be the one to push Gayatri and Kanchan to follow their dreams. Gayatri clearly had some before she married Alok, but she was weaker than Astha.

Exactly 💯. I don't agree with Anokhi actively doing anything to change his opinion of her. In fact for a change I would want Shaurya to actively work and try and change her opinion about him after he reforms himself through is actions. I don't think a Man can ever change for a woman. Even if it's woman he is in love with. A Man can only change for himself. They are selfish that way too. So this is his journey and I don't want Anokhi to do anything to change his opinions or seek his validation. It should be the other way around.

Even i feel like.. this is making shaurya more and more frustrated ! Anokhi shaurya ko mahino se janti hein...shaurya agar help karne ke liye bhi chu le woh jhatka mar deti hein haath

But acp ko bas 3-4 bar mili hein and that stupid just touch her anytimes...kabhi haat clean karta hein..to kal pani pila raha tha...but usse mouka chahiye anokhi ko chune ka! (I dont knwo if his intentions are clear...or not! But) abhi nas 2-3ar milne se koun bar bar aisa karta hein? And he's actually being over friendly with her professionalism ko goli marke! Even yesterday's epi he's keep saying "anokhi ji aap kehti hein to maan leta hun" why? Where's your professionalism acp? Shaurya bhi to bol raha tha na bas usko bas anokhi ki kehne se pari thi.. even though yesterday even anokhi said sir ap shaurya sir ki fir le lo.

so what if ACP and Anokhi are friendly , OR (i am not sure about this) but even if his intentions might be romantic , that still doesn't give shaurya the right to accuse anokhi of being characterless

If he thought about Astha logically with a cool head he might have noticed it but he won't as he is fueled by hatred and anger. True Gayatri and Kanchan's and even Devi's journey would be interesting to watch if they wish to touch that subject.

That makes me think that for Shaurya to change and overcome his misogyny, he will have to understand Aastha first and then he will understand Anokhi and her dreams and not the other way round. I am not saying he should forget his lonely childhood and forgive her. But he should realise that had Aastha been after money and comfort, she could have easily accepted whatever meagre help Bade papa would provide for her parents and stayed at the Sabharwals. Instead she chose a more difficult life full of struggles to do her duty towards her parents and protect her self respect. Then only will he understand how much important self respect is for women like Aastha and Anokhi.

Imo they r taking big jumps with shaurya every week hence his character and anokhis stopped making sense to me..but I thought chalo , for daily entertainment its not bad. She is her own person. Infact after watching shaurya today I feel anokhi was right in behaving like that with him at aasthas time. I take my words bk against her.

It's not like I don't like gray/disturbed/ layered characters ,infact these r the ones I like the most. BUT for that they need to give me a proper story around them n they failed to do it with shaurya ........ I am guessing he will again stop her rustication and try to become the hero in her life after calling her a loose character . Pathetic ! Whether or not this was offered to me , I am not afraid to call it wrong

There is absolutely nothing wrong in calling spade a spade... What's wrong is wrong and forgiving after stopping her rustication will probably be last day with the show😛

I have been wondering too about Shaurya's feelings for Anokhi was out of blue... I always maintained a stance Anokhi had a reason - she was in awe with Shaurya when he helped her during ragging case and saved her n number of times.. But Shaurya... Why would he fall for her? The only explanation for abrupt feelings development is sinking trps post Shakhi hug or writers are purposely Trying to highlight that Shaurya's attraction is purely based on his superiority complex with her. He has saved her many times inspite of her being strong headed girl. The fact that he has capability to protect her would have attracted him to her!

He has to realize how he has been interacting with Anokhi is rather rougher than mild interaction between Anokhi and Ahir... That's never an excuse to behave the way he did.! It's like 360 degree turn to his character from last week.

He has to beg on bended knees to get Anokhi’s forgiveness and I don’t want Anokhi to forgive him easily until he realises what he has told her. Shana for the first time took a father’s stand and reprehended him. It was the strong stance when he points at Shaurya’s thoughts and Devi’s upbringing. Sadly this is how Shaurya has been brought up in a house where women are considered to be decorative pieces with no ambition of their own and if anyone steps outside those boundaries, they are supposed to be characterless. He has been fed the poison that ambitious women are manipulative and can’t keep a family together, his mother been given as an example. He had been fed that women have to be looked after by men and so Shagun wasn’t a part of his life.

With Anokhi, he had started to share some rapport, he had started to share his feelings unknowingly and felt a haq on her. He wanted to know her, wanted to protect her and again ‘be the protector’ for her. But Anokhi as she said, she is not weak nor she needs anyone’s protection. I have to agree a bit with Shaurya on Anokhi’s comfort level with ACP but that shows her gullible nature. Friendly with ACP as he has always been sweet with her and confused with Shaurya’s mood swings. Shaurya’s insecurity is high now as he feels Anokhi has started depending on someone else and he feels he is slowly losing her. For him, her nature is always to get in trouble and only he should help her out of it. With his negative upbringing and his insecurity, today we have seen a man who is actually good at heart but shown his worst to someone he has started to care. The truth is also there that such insecurities and bitter words are uttered only to someone we love, someone who we feel we have all the rights but that doesn’t sweeten any of the bitterness. I like the show’s name now. It’s truly Shaurya and Anokhi’s kahani. Both need to come out of their world and learn from each other, make each other a better person.

@red, No, this is not the truth. These.kind of words aren't said to someone we love . Infact these r exactly the kind of words that NEVER should be spoken to someone we love. It's cheapness of the highest order. As for strangers , it's not shauryas business to give them the character certificate. And anokhi falls in the second category.

@bold I guess I shouldn’t have used the word love here. I wanted to say we get angry at people from whom we have some expectations and I feel he surprisingly feels he has from Anokhi. From the first time he saved her, he feels she is trouble but he is around to save her always.

@underlined I don’t think he actually meant to be anything physical with her. Like he said his intention has never been to hurt her. Pls don’t get me wrong. I am not trying to justify his actions at all. He just want to hit her badly where he got hurt the most. During the riots she pushed his hand away and he said he didn’t want to touch her intentionally whereas with ACP this has happened twice & Anokhi didn't tell him anything. That is where this "touch" pricks him. I agree with you that Anokhi hasn't given him any reason to think otherwise but for Shaurya, seeing Anokhi let another man be comfortable with her when he is not allowed to is a bruise for his ego as well. I don't think we can say he isn't in a relationship with Anokhi. She is the only one who seems to have seen his worse side behaviour because he lets her whereas even with his family he hides all the emotions. I don't think anyone is giving his insecurity or his jealousy any importance but the fact remains that the trigger for this outpour is based on all these. I completely agree that all this doesn't give him the right to give anyone their character certificate, let alone Anokhi who was his student.
