His disparaging remarks to Shagun about how she had to do nothing and could still be a Sabherwal. That was also in the same light - same entitlement

Yes, he has a superiority complex which is unfortunately present in most men, whatever the background. Funnily enough, his money and privilege is something that he was born into, not earned by him. And if he is so proud of his money and class, he should be grateful to his mother for letting him stay with the Sabharwals and not take him along with her to a chhota shahar.

I would say he himself is responsible. As you said, he is a 30-year-old man, not a 4-year-old kid anymore. After one point in time, we are responsible for our own actions. He is a well-educated professor. Disrespecting a girl out of anger issues doesn't gell well with the decent image we have of RESPECTABLE professors in our mind or Anokhi's mind.

If we blame Devi for this, why didn't we credit Devi for all the gentlemanly behavior Shaurya portrayed in the past two weeks? Shaan and Aastha shouldn't be blamed either. I agree they did wrong by abandoning him, but their son is not a kid anymore. Their son is of age to know what is right and what is wrong.

I absolutely agree that just by him helping her in the cheating track won't redempt his character. He needs to do something big. I really don't know how he will but I have fallen for this couple and I don't want one of the characters making this couple turns toxic.

Fingers crossed for this. We all need him to apologize but I'm not sure if we will really get an apology. Like in the previous track, Anokhi was upset with him because she thought he left her in the middle of the chaos. But instead of clearing up that situation, we had the kidnapping happen and Shaurya saved her so because this was sort of bigger than the previous incident, it covered up the previous one and Anokhi started mellowing towards him. Stopping her rustication might end up being a similar thing in this situation.

Really hoping that the usual itv route is not where this goes. Given that Anokhi looked upset in the promo and was asking him why does he want to save her gives me some hope that she’s going to make him crawl and burn and have him apologise before going civil on him again, but hoping too much and we fall flat on our faces so let's see what they have in store for us.

She really should be insistent on leaving even after her name is cleared in the cheating track till he truly realizes the extent of damage he has done to her self respect and apologizes.

Anyways Deba said in her interview that she will write Economics paper and show him that she is a bright student. Unke insult ka jawab apni mehenat se. And leave the premises after the paper. So i guess she gets blames in that paper only. Then Shaurya helps her clear her name and all. So maybe she will still leave.
