So who is responsible for Shaurya's behaviour and his extensive outpouring of vitriol on Anokhi.

Shaan blames Devi. Devi brought him up with the values of the Sabharwals. Yes, the Sabharwal's values are outdated but Shaan too was brought up in the same household, with the same values. He does not seem to share the same mentality as Shaurya. Devi filled his mind against Aastha. Did she fill his mind against all women? What does Shaurya think when he sees Devi talking to Alok? Or Gayatri's concern for Shaan? Sochne ka to log kuch bhi soch sakte hai.

Many will blame that it is his parents who made him feel unloved. He has a fear of abandonment. Did Anokhi ever make him feel loved so much that he fears she will abandon him? On what basis he formed that idea? Yes, he saved her a couple of times but those were only coincidences that brought him in the position of Anokhi's saviour. He is a 30 year old man with enough education to understand that.

It is just his entitlement to being a man from a privileged class that has made him say such things. It is going to take a lot of time for him to get out of that kind of thinking. Neither Shaan, nor Aastha, not even Anokhi can make him change unless he himself opens his mind. First things first, he will have to aplogise. Even though he might not believe that he was completely wrong but he should apologise for breaking the decorum of his profession. Just helping Anokhi to get out of the cheating accusations should not make her forgive him.

I blame Anokhi too for this situation!

First and foremost I blame Shaurya and his own choti soch. Such cheap thinking about a girl, I cant attribute to his father, Badi Ma, His own Mother or anythng else. I agree what he saw in home, is what he learned. He saw all bahus of home being ill treated, so in his subconscios mind he thinks it is okay to insult/blame a girl. He never felt highly of Shagun also. Although he was marrying her, he was of idea that she shld embrace him and his "soch". He never ever thought of embracing her whole heartedly. Such a person cant change overnight.

Currently all he have for Anokhi is physical attraction, and with that he thinks her as his own property. Since he helped her few times, he thinks she belongs to him. Which is wrong.

Secondly I blame Anokhi. After she knew that Shaurya was angry and was kind of blaming her, she should have left the library. But she didnt. By not leaving, she gave Shaurya too much importance, which made Shaurya spew more non-sense. I agree without her staying story wont move forward, but my point is, no girl should wait and take such shi&*&t from a guy. It is not worthwhile.

I also feel, such serials are eye openers, as to whom to avoid when u face such persons.

At this point, even if Shaurya have romantic feelings for Anokhi, and he marries her, her life will become a hell and nothing else.

**chalo enough of ranting. This is my POV. ****

I would say he himself is responsible. As you said, he is a 30-year-old man, not a 4-year-old kid anymore. After one point in time, we are responsible for our own actions. He is a well-educated professor. Disrespecting a girl out of anger issues doesn't gell well with the decent image we have of RESPECTABLE professors in our mind or Anokhi's mind.

If we blame Devi for this, why didn't we credit Devi for all the gentlemanly behavior Shaurya portrayed in the past two weeks? Shaan and Aastha shouldn't be blamed either. I agree they did wrong by abandoning him, but their son is not a kid anymore. Their son is of age to know what is right and what is wrong.

I absolutely agree that just by him helping her in the cheating track won't redempt his character. He needs to do something big. I really don't know how he will but I have fallen for this couple and I don't want one of the characters making this couple turns toxic.

I think Shaurya needs to admit his mistake in public as a starting point. Like you said, he violated the decorum and sanctity of his profession. Just apologizing in private isn’t enough. His own mistakes are not going to be fixed by fixing someone else’s mistakes (cheating incident) as that would be a cover up. I want Anokhi to refuse his help after what he said

and it’s all male entitlement unfortunately - the fact that he considers himself rich and famous implies he thinks he’s a catch and can win over any woman with that and his protector status. And he now feels slighted and rejected even though there is no basis for that at all. They were not a couple.

His disparaging remarks to Shagun about how she had to do nothing and could still be a Sabherwal. That was also in the same light - same entitlement

Also was this same scene as bad in the original show as it was in SAAKK? Did he stoop that low there too?

the original show is as bad as it can get. Shankho said worse things. Even to date when Shankho and Mohor (Shaurya and Anokhi) are married, he acts immensely territorial and does not trust her. The counterparts of Alok and Shagun keep creating misunderstandings and Shankho keeps believing them over Mohor. But he is neutral towards the ACP now. He sees ACP Ahir as a good friend.

He did tell her that she was taking advantage of her recent friendship with Ahir and went directly to him bypassing the local police station. But I do not remember it being this bad. He did not manhandle her. He did not say that she was using him as a ladder to get rich and all that bullsh*t. If my memory serves me right.

Super like 👏 he himself is responsible. High time he owns up . Stop acting like a traumatized baby. He has crossed that age .theek hai he is hurt , he is angry , his mind is prejudiced . So that's why, he should chk his actions and take full responsibility for them.

So right. Anokhi should not have stood there and listened to the crap he was spouting. The present Shaurya is not good for any girl, let alone Anokhi. Even if he marries a homemaker, he will keep shoving his superiority on her like most men do.

Agreed. Blaming Shaurya's behaviour on anyone but Shaurya is akin to absolving him and removing his accountability. Why should Anokhi care if he had a bad upbringing or was abandoned by his parents. She should not forget this day even if he helps her. Shaurya has to learn his lesson by himself and apologize. Falling in love should start afresh after that.
