Okay I just watched the episode and contrary to popular belief Shaurya was not out of character, was he wrong? Yes.

These accusations might have been induced by jealousy but it his ultimate soch that amplified it. He sees Anokhi as a bechari and it is a fact, yes she has a fighting spirit and never takes things lying down but he has always found himself in the position of a protector and caregiver something that comes naturally and recently Anokhi has been at the recieving end of it intentionally and unintentionally. But Anokhi doesn't need a protector she neither sees Shaurya nor Ahir as her protector but just as people who have helped her that's what her gratitude is for.

"Sir, aapko pata hai mei bechari nahi hoon"

I am glad Anokhi's response was prompt because she can take care of herself, she is a survivor. Yes untoward things have happened to her and she has come out of it and these are things that should have never happened to her in the first place.

Shaurya from the previous night had established what his pre conceived notion was while speaking to Badi Maa. While he agreed that the right thing to do is file a complaint he was expecting Anokhi to be in shock and in need of a shoulder to fall back on and he wanted to be the that shoulder. He has seen Anokhi in Shock before during the ragging incident but he has conveniently pushed the particular memory of her stubborn pursuit of justice to the back of his mind.

This coupled with the fact that he was jealous of ACP Ahir's attention towards Anokhi has made him lose his head just like he has done before (the boquet throwing and the words hurled at Aastha) except that previously it was never directly intended at Anokhi. Today he was hurt and wanted to hurt because like someone already pointed out he cannot tolerate a prospective partner having her own independent thinking which is how he has started seeing Anokhi as. He wanted her to stand back and let him do all the work and be the "Man". It is interesting to note that she did step aside to let him join her but not step back she was trying to extend a partnership which he isn't ready for because he needs to be the "Alpha". The irony here is Shaurya was lost in his own pity party and shallow thoughts that he failed to see what this was all about? It was not about him or ACP Ahir but Anokhi and what she has been through. This here is the crux of the situation, Shaurya knows that what happened was wrong and he would have and was ready to help any woman not just Anokhi, he can sympathise with women by putting himself in a benevolent position of a saviour but not truly empathise with their situation because he does not know what it is like to actually go through all this. It was evident in the borderline victim blaming the previous night and now during the police station where the pursuit of justice was replaced by his frustration at being rendered incapable of taking care of "Anokhi".

Coming to the actual accusations Shaurya is wrong and his words were intentionally in bad taste. There can be absolutely no defence or justification to this other than genuine remorse and heartfelt apology. He had no right to ask why Anokhi chose to go to Ahir's station and not another station! It is her choice, she is the one who will have to relive the uncomfortable ordeal. This is where Shaurya's thinking is being challenged because he wanted her to sit back while he did it for her.

I know all of us have been flying high since Saturday's episode I especially was in the highest storey of heavenšŸ˜† but the CVs have flung us down a few notches reminding us that "Shaurya's misogynistic thinking" is still the Elephant in the room and it is not forgotten. I say few notches and not completely to the ground because I see this incident as a progress both in the plot and in Shaurya (no no I haven't lost my sanity šŸ˜†) because this is the outcome of and a challenge to Shaurya's soch which is definitely going to lead to some introspection (hopefully).

ACP Ahir is such prop I am telling you!🤣 His role so far has been so blah that it is difficult to take him seriously. I am not sure if is intentional or the plot device to induce jealousy in Shaurya is being over done but I genuinely felt that him moving closer to Anokhi to take her report a little creepy that was definitely crossing a boundary there and I would have definitely felt a little uncomfortable but may be it wasn't intended to be so, but he was well within his place to tell Shaurya that it is the victim's right to talk first.

I am reserving thoughts on the precap for tomorrow and definitely looking foward to it because Anokhi is not going this lying down!

You are right. I noticed this today when he said those things. He was in 'I want to do it' mode. And bechari comment was spot on to indicate what was going on in his head.

But that wouldn't have been a problem if Anokhi had not been his love interest. Infact he would have been pretty okay bcz ACP is a 'man' helping a woman. But problem yeh ho gayi hai ki he is and wants to be Anokhi's man šŸ˜†

But damn šŸ”„

He was on fire today. Jal ke khakh ho hi gaya woh 🤣 And ACP had been over-over since day one

I think Shaurya ko jealous dikhane ke chakkar mei Ahir ko overuse kar rahe hai... For a moment, I felt like Anokhi kal raat wale lafango se bach ke naye lafange ke changul mei phas gayi hai šŸ¤”

@bold I totally agree they are going a bit overboard with this because also it seems like only when Shaurya is present does the ACP gets that close to her. He wasn't even near her before Shaurya entered the station so I think the CVs are trying too hard. Whenever it's just Anokhi and him, he is pretty normal and frankly I think even if they kept him normal, the mere fact that Anokhi looks up to him and sees him as a savior is enough to make Shaurya jealous because as you so perfectly said, he wants to be her knight in shining armor.

You said it all. This episode was a rude awakening that Shaurya still has a long way to go and yes, he has chauvinistic thoughts, most of the time it’s masked as per the initial show descriptions.
It was there in the last shakhi episode, but more subtle, when he assumed Anokhi invited the trouble herself and Anokhi very eloquently explained that no woman would want to go through that. He listened yes but we don’t know much else what he thought.

Unfortunately the people with low thinking line from the station - she was clearly talking about Shaurya.

I like how both ACP and Shaurya have been placed in the lafange category 🤣

U have summed all my feelings in this post. I have been literally trying to put this same point in every threadšŸ˜†.

We needed this post badly. Again, I agree and Im happy that CVs didn't brush off the elephant in the room and let ShaKhi just bloom. Because if not now, Shaurya would se other day unleash this side of him om Anokhi, and she would be heartbroken, if it was post them getting together.

I hope to see development from his side post this fiasco. I hope to see him not blabbering things out of his mouth without thinking tje next time he is angry. He needs to learn this lesson.

But I honestly feel bad for Anokhi. I mean, kitna insult hoga uska ? 🤢 no girl deserved to go through all this . In real life, she should not even cross the same path as him.

(but yeh fiction hai) šŸ˜†

PS: Now i get Anokhi's reaction in Promo. I also get why she will not understand his feelings in holi. Kyunki yeh sab bolne ke baad konsi ladki bhaav degi? šŸ˜†

Exactly I think they really need to flesh out the ACP's character in a better way otherwise half the time I am finding it so difficult to take him seriously!

True I liked the look how the camera focused on Shaurya immediately 🤣
