What a day Kirti had! It ended with her bitten by a khargosh called Sylvester and spraining her ankle.

She tried to go home in the cab it was as difficult as climbing Kilimanjaro to walk up to the cab.

In the end, Nishit took her home after visiting a hospital to check on her sprained ankle. Her grandmother liked Nishit and asked why Tejas never came home.

You mentioned Kilimanjaro of all the mountains in the world. I was born in Dar es Salaam Tanzania. I have seen the snowcapped Mt.Kilimanjaro.

A beautiful friendship is growing between Kirti and Nishit. Thet have been talking every day by texting.

When Shruti found out that Kirti was texting Nishit ,she told her was that wise? Tejas had always taken advantage of her and now she is talking to his cousin ?

Kirti deleted all the messages but regretted doing that.

To her surprise Nishit turned up at her home .

I am enjoying the story. I am glad I came across it.

Hey there!

A friend(Canapoem) suggested that I give this story a try and I am glad I decided to take her suggestion. I binged read(if that is even a phrase) the story late into last night and loved what I read. I honestly thought the story was about Kirti's unrequited love for Tejas. The more I read, the more I remember hoping Tejas wasn't the hero. Even if a love is unrequited, the recipient needs to be worthy of your emotions, haina? And Tejas is....errmmm...

What can you say about a person who knows and sees you(and your situations) but pretends like he has no clue or maybe he just doesn't care?

I really like how you have shown Kirti and Nishit being aware of each other for the longest time. It almost feels like a mating dance ritual that is yet to begin in full swing. The gentle forays and the retreats.

I especially loved the texting. It is really so sad that those nuggets are lost to Kirti.

The forays into the past were really poignant and nostalgic. The chapter where Kirti realizes the socio-economic distance between her and her classmates especially brought a lump to my throat. And the fangirling that closed the distances made me laugh. How many friends I've made fangirling and drooling after our bandha 😉

Another chapter that stood out for me was the one where Prasanna and Kirti's points of view and brought to our attention. The one where Kirti stands Prasanna up. The differences in their thoughts, the inability to see the other's point of view, and the stubborn ignorance of the other's situation....honestly, that chapter hit the nail on the head.

I am really looking forward to the unfolding of the story and the progress in Nishit and Kirti's relationship. I am loving what I've read so far!

Thank god for Nishit. He stopped Navyam from misbehaving with Kirti.

Kirti apologised to Prasanna for standing her up.

Kirti tripped or did something bit her. She is sure a snake bit her.

🤣An apt description! I don't know whether he will make an appearance or not but I'll make sure he knows what people think of him😆

Hi

Thank you for this really detailed comment. I love love reading comments and yours left a huge grin on my face.

I am so grateful to the universe, canapoem and pravallika that have somehow helped gathering a bunch of such thoughtful readers here. Oh, and I am little overwhelmed too.

PS - binged read is totally a phrase. I use that all the time. And nothing brings together women like fangirling over hot bandas so fangirling zindabad!😆

Once again loved how this chapter was written..how you used the same rainy weather to match her restlessness/happiness..her varied state of mind.

Shruti reaction and advice to her texting Nishit was natural based on what she knows. It stood out both their unsaid happy reaction when they see each other after not texting for a while. The tidbits you add in every chapter about her past, her strange checks are a result of copying someone 😊

I especially enjoy thinking, planning and writing these tidbits. 😃
