That's not always the requirement for Deepika though. Leaving out her last 2 SLB ventures, she is above average to good with whatever she is provided with. Even in Padmavaat, where her moist eyed straight faced acting is trolled so much, she totally owned the Jauhar scene. Something I doubt Alia can pull off without looking funny or a miscast.

P.S - This is my opinion. I wouldn't be as haughty as to call my opinions "facts" though. Others' opinions matter too.😊

I don’t know why people call out DP for her last SLB ventures. She may not have been award worthy level but I felt she at least wasn’t boring or made the narrative drag - in both the movies. Especially in Padmaavat, I enjoyed her parts. Truth is SLB makes everything enjoyable with his esthetics.

But if we compare Alia and Deepika, both having their own shortcomings, Alia is a better actor.

Honestly speaking, none between Deepika & Alia is an oscar worthy actress. Both are average & they have different sets of strengths & weaknesses. They can't really be compared imo. But if we are comparing, Alia looks misfit in many roles.... Even in few ad campaigns she has been a part of she looks out of place & trying too hard to copy her predecessor. She doesn't fit in every genre or every type of characters.

Deepika at least looks convincing in every role she plays. Be it a beauty queen like Mastani or Padmavati or a girl next door like Piku or Tara. Performance toh bahat baad ki baat hai.... first at least look the part. I can't even picture Alia as a Shantipriya or a Veronica or Mastani, Padmavati or even a Meenamma. The only notable film from DP's filmography that Alia could have pulled off is probably Piku.

P.S. - Honestly speaking even I don't mind DP in SLB movies so much. In few selective scenes she looks lacking on the emotion part....but in few, she excels as well....so it's a mixed bag. But apart from SLB movies I find her mostly average to good.

None! But Alia tries too hard to be Deepika, Deepika's face muscle doesn't even move when she's acting in emotional ( I am not saying cocktail,), she tries with her eyes and all, sometimes she is good sometimes she fails. In recent times I am seeing Alia doing it the same way, in GK teaser it's very obvious. Maybe because it's how SLB like. Honestly it's just my opinion!

It's more like a sizeable chunk of people who do not follow blind hatred trend just to pretend being cool. You talk about being triggered, yet it was you who felt the need to quote me & mock me just because I have put forward an opinion different than yours. I will tag that as #triggered. 😆

Being someone's fan is nothing to be ashamed of that I will shy away from admitting it. If I was her fan, I would have admitted it because trust me, I am not scared of few random strangers' online "bites"😆

I am just not into hating anyone just to follow a trend. Deepika is mostly an average actress with an annoying personality whom I don't find worth investing too much time or consideration over....but that doesn't mean she can't be appreciated even for those few moments where its due. I just don't hate any celebrity so much that I will hate everything related to them (apart from may be Kangu 😆). If you had observed my posts you would have noticed that I try to appreciate mostly all of them wherever I feel its due. You are just being completely delusional if you think that your opinions or "bites" hold so much weightage that they are scaring me away from announcing my real stance in a tiny online forum.🤣🤣
